Here's the news. Talents from around the world are set to gather in southwest China's Chongqing municipality for the second Belt and Road International Skills Competition, an opportunity to showcase their professional capabilities and boost exchanges among peers.
The competition scheduled for June 24 through 26 will feature 18 events that cover a wide range of industries, including digital construction, electrical installation, hairdressing, as well as coffee -making, industrial robot system operation, and internet marketing.
Artificial Intelligence -assisted judging and a digital management system will be used in this year's competition.
So far some 300 participants, including contestants, referees, and other related and personnel have registered to attend the event.
The contestants come from more than 60 countries and regions participating in Belt and Road cooperation, or which are affiliated with World Skills International, an association dedicated to promoting vocational education and training.
The skills competition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the National Development and Reform Commission, as well as the China International National Development Cooperation Agency and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government.
The competition's first edition was held in 2019 in Chongqing, involved contestants from 44 countries and regions.

This year's edition of Suzhou Jinji Lake International Dragon Boat Road Race features two groups, one with 51 teams contending in four events and an invitational group comprising 6 international and 9 youth teams.
This will be the first time for international teams to participate in the race with participants coming from countries like Singapore, Austria and Switzerland.
Dragon Boat Racing is a traditional activity held during China's Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 10th this year.
The race will incorporate dragon themed elements into its clothing and metals, reflecting the auspicious creatures significance in Chinese culture.
The Organizing Committee also announced a partnership with the local energy department to make this year's competition the first in the city to achieve carbon neutrality.
