Now, back to the show.
That's right. The world's greatest DJ who also happens to be a worm has made you a mixtape in order to celebrate...
Uh, hmm. Let's see.
What are we celebrating?
I wrote this down somewhere.
Oh, okay. Here it is.
In order to celebrate the 4th of July!
What? The 4th of July?
The American Holiday?
This is... interesting.
You see, I, DJ Squirm -A -Lot, love America, but I also love every country.
And despite my accent, I'm not just an American worm.
I'm actually a worm citizen of the world!
In fact, most of my fans are from places other than America.
So when I look out over a packed crowd at one of my DJ sets, I see all sorts of different people.
Sure, there are a lot of Europeans in tracksuits, but there are also people from every country on Earth.
One great big DJ Squirm -A -Lot family, all of which is to say that I'm not really sure what to do to celebrate the 4th of July.
Usually on a hot summer day, if I'm not performing, I simply like to kick back and relax.
You know, maybe drink some delicious ice water with delicious dirt sprinkled in and read a book.
You know, that actually sounds like a perfectly good way to celebrate the 4th of July now that I think about it.
So let's do it! I'll just stretch out my long worm body onto this reclining beach chair and...
Relax. What the? Where is that music coming from?
I think it's coming from my next door neighbor.
I guess I have to do what I always do when my neighbors are disturbing me.
Calmly, politely, yell as loud as I can!
Neighbors, keep it down!
Some of us worms are trying to relax on a summer day!
Oh, hey DJ Squirm -A -Lot, happy 4th of July!
Please, from the Story Pirates, you're my neighbor.
Sorry, I can't hear you over the music.
I'm throwing a 4th of July party to celebrate America's independence from England.
Okay, fine, sounds like a good reason to celebrate, but turn your music down!
Turn it up? Okay! Oh no...
Hey, DJ Squirm -A -Lot, you should come over for a burger later if you want.
I don't want a burger, I want some heat, it's quiet!
I have all the toppings, like every single topping, so don't worry!
Ugh, this is a problem.
I had no idea, first of all, that Lee was my neighbor, or that people throw such loud barbecues on the 4th of July!
I have got to get out of here.
Tell you what, while I burrow through the dirt to a brand new location where I will definitely get to relax, why don't you check out this first track on today's mixtape.
From a 9 -year -old in New York named Maya is driving bumblebees.
Well, I think we can say for certain that that's a birthday that Goldfish will never forget.
Now let's go to our shopper for the Up To The Minute New York City Traffic Report.
Because the streets are jammed with something that you wouldn't believe.
No, you won't believe it!
No, you won't believe it!
You know what, New York, just take a peek outside and see, what do you see?
NYC! Look out your window, there are bumblebees driving all over Manhattan.
Bumblebees are driving, no one knows why it's happening, there are bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
There are bumblebees driving all over Manhattan, there are little SUVs in the smallest station wagon, there are bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
Yeah, the bumblebees are driving and their bumble rides from the top of Manhattan would do them the worry side.
From hollow to the goner, it's near and in there and now till they peer.
Bumble, bumble, bumble.
There are many dancing, smaller dancing, tiny coots, cruising down the avenues at Broadway too.
From Central Park and all around Times Square, here is tiny sports is going high up back in here.
There are bumblebees driving all over Manhattan.
Bumblebees are driving and well, they're going fast and there are bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
That's it, it's the studio!
Well alright then, let's check in on sports with Bill.
Bill, what's happening down at Madison Square Garden?
Yeah, they had to delay the Knicks game because there are a bunch of bumblebees driving all over the court.
You might say there's too much traveling.
Bad job Bill. And I'm being told I'm fired.
Alright, and Wendy has the weather for us.
Wendy, what can you tell us about the week ahead?
Well, things should definitely be on the comm side.
We have fairly sunny skies for the rest of the week and heading into the weekend with only a slight chance of some clouds on Sunday.
And also there are...
Bumblebees driving all over Manhattan.
Bumblebees are driving...
Ever seen this weather pattern?
Bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
Uh, okay, I guess next we'll check in with the bumblebees?
Bumblebees, what can you tell us about what's going on?
Yeah, we like riding the Big Apple in our tiny cars.
It's divisive, but we love the hive that's up at Hudson Yards.
And we're cruising through the roof and hide the highlighter and incarnatey hall.
Practice, practice, drive when you're a bee with your license.
These roads are so enticing.
Just so think about what we're due to congestion pricing.
We'll be driving through the city from dawn till dark.
Because honestly, there's just nowhere to fall.
There are bumblebees driving all over Manhattan.
Bumblebees are driving so make sure your seatbelt's fastened.
There are bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
Bumblebees driving in NYC.
Bumblebees driving in NYC.
From the top of the rock to the subways below the streets.
There are bumblebees driving in NYC.
Bumblebees driving in NYC.
Bumblebees driving in NYC.
From the top of the rock to the subways below the streets.
There are bumblebees driving in NYC.
Bumblebees driving all over Manhattan.
Bumblebees are driving luckily there ain't no crashing.
There are bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
Yeah, there are bumblebees driving all over Manhattan.
Bumblebees are driving, no one knows why it's happening.
There are bumblebees driving all over the island.
Bumblebees driving all over the island.
Ba -ba -bumblebees driving all over the island of Manhattan.
Wow, New York, what an exciting day.
Though you'd think those bumblebees would also be interested in going to Queens.
And I'm being told I'm also fired.
Ha -ha, oh well. Wow, woo, made it.
After a lot of tunneling through the dirt, I'm as far away as I can get from any loud Fourth of July barbecues.
And especially, ladies loud Fourth of July barbecue.
So let's take a look around and see where we ended up.
Oh, a beautiful pristine lake.
And surrounded by gorgeous coniferous trees.
This place is great.
I can just stretch out lakeside and finally relax.
So, what the, Jet Ski, where did those come from?
Oh, hey DJ Sportmelon.
See, on a Jet Ski. Uh -huh, yeah, we decided to move the barbecue out here to the lake, so me and a hundred of my close friends could all ride Jet Skis together.
One hundred of your friends?
Well, okay, they're not all my friends.
Some of them are friends of friends, of friends.
Anyway, wanna hop on my Jet Ski with me?
I can drive you around the lake.
No, Lee, I do not want to hop on your Jet Ski.
Oops, sorry, DJ Sportmelon.
I can't hear you over all the Jet Skis.
I'm gonna go back out there and I'll circle back and pick you up in a few.
Whew! Oh geez, can't a worm find any peace and quiet these days.
This is ridiculous.
Sounds like I'm going to have to tunnel through the dirt again.
And this time, I'll be sure to go somewhere with no loud 4th of July barbecues.
And while I figure out where exactly that is, why don't you check out another hot track?
This one's by a four -year -old from Maryland named Leah.
Fears in the car. Ah!
Hey guys, I love the car.
Wow. In fact, I love it so much, I wrote a little song about it.
We love your song. Here I go.

Forrest Flora and Thawna, thanks for coming out to the Grove tonight.
Here's a song to get your branches swinging.
I am a tree with the love for a mountain, a lonely tree.
My roots, they can't walk anywhere because I'm a tree.
Through my binoculars I see you mountain.
Right now I am I. I know that someday we can be a we.
We can be a we. I keep on growing, hoping I might feel a little less alone.
I pluck all my pine cones, plant them around my roots.
Will it bring me close to you?
Look now, there's pine trees sprouting.
Yet I'm still far from you, my mountain.
Why, oh, why am I still I, when someday we can be a.
Cha, cha, cha, cha.
Oh no, a man just cut down one of my pine trees.
Oh no, a man just cut down a bunch of my branches.
He's taking them home to give to his grandkids.
What am I to do? Well, a few fallen branches won't stop leaves from sprouting.
I ain't slowing down, I'm growing up, I'm reaching that mountain.
I yank up my roots and I breathe fresh air.
And I leap into the forest on a wing and a prayer.
I am a tree with the love for a mountain.
And I'm free from the dirt and I'm swinging from branch to branch.
About the trees, they're all still growing just like me.
My mountain swinging high up to your summit.
I plant my roots so I won't plummet.
I am my mountain. We are we.
Ooh, we are we. Mountain, I really got a love for you.
Goodnight. Welcome back to DJ Squamala's Fourth of July mixtape, Bear, Bear, Bear, Bear, Bear.
I'm your host, DJ Squamala.
I'm Squaring Squamala.
That last track was The Tree with a Love for a Mountain by 8 -year -old Landon in California.
And if you can hear that wind whistling through the mountains, you probably figured out that I tunneled all the way to the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains, which by the way is called Mount Elbert.
I feel like we could do a better job naming that mountain, but whatever, I'm just glad to be here.
So high up in the sky that no one, not even late, can interrupt my relaxing Fourth of July with a loud barbecue.
Ha, ha, ha. Whoo, yeah, DJ Squamala, you did it.
It is kind of cold up here though at the top of the mountain.
And I'm kind of only wearing sunglasses right now.
And it's getting dark because I had to tell a really long way to get up here.
Hmm. Maybe this wasn't the best place for me to spend a summer evening.
Oh well, I'm just glad it's quiet up here.
Time to stretch out my long pink worm body and relax.
What the fireworks?
Oh no! I forgot that when it gets darker on the Fourth of July, everyone sets off fireworks.
And by climbing up so high, I'm right where all the fireworks are.
This is terrible! There's so many fireworks!
You know what? These look actually pretty good.
I guess I can just enjoy the fireworks.
Yeah, I'll enjoy them.
Seems like this was a pretty good place to come on the Fourth of July after all.
Hey, that one was pretty.
Oh, here you are. Oh no.
I found you DJ Squirmula, and I only had to climb up this tall mountain.
You know, when I came back to give you a ride on my jet ski, you were gone.
So, I got worried because you didn't say goodbye.
So, I've been searching for you ever since.
And how did you find me, Lee?
Oh, well, I just started looking places, and this was the second place I looked.
What was the first place?
The bathroom. Because I had to use the bathroom.
Well, Lee, you might as well take a seat and watch the fireworks with me, I guess.
Oh fun, thanks. You're welcome, I guess.
Hey, I brought you a scarf just in case you're cold.
Lee, that was actually very nice of you.
Thank you. No problem.
Well, Scrammy -wormies, things are looking up over here.
Specifically, looking up at some beautiful fireworks.
So, let's keep the mixtape going with another song by Dylan in Virginia.
Here's the person who could not spin.
I love to spin! That looks like fun.
In the city, there was a lonely guy, and he didn't know how to spin.
That's right. He saw somebody and he asked them, said, can you help me spin?
Uh, excuse me, sir.
Yes? Can you help me spin?
And the guy said, yes, of course.
But spinning is so easy I can do it no problem, oh my gosh.
Wait, seriously? Yes, of course.
And spinning is so easy I can do it no problem, oh my gosh.
Hey you, hey you, after I learn how to spin, the story will be over.
Okay, try spinning like this.
Okay, here we go. Put your back into it.
Okay. Like this. Whoa.
What's going on here, guys?
You look so proud. Guess what it guess what it guess what Guess what it guess what it guess what Guess what it guess what it guess what In a city there was a lonely guy and he didn't know how to spin One day he found somebody and he asked them Can you help a spin?
Yes, of course. And the guy said, yes, of course.
But spinning is so easy, I can do it no problem.
Oh my gosh. And the guy said, yes, of course.
But spinning is so easy, I can do it no problem.
Oh my gosh. Yes, of course.
Yes, of course. Yes, of course.
Yes, of course. Yes, of course.
Yes, of course. But spinning is so easy, I can do it no problem.
Oh my gosh. Whoa. Whoa.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.

Welcome back to DJ Squirmulot's Fourth of July.
Mixtape Fair. Fair, fair, fair, fair, fair, fair.
Let's keep the party going.
We're the song from Laney.
A nine year old in Wisconsin hears, How do you scare a mermaid?
Today is the day I will scare a mermaid.
Today is the day I will scare a mermaid, away to the place where the salt water sprays.
I'm getting ready to scare a mermaid.
Oh hey, I didn't see you there.
Today I am off to find mermaids to scare.
Today I might catch a mermaid unaware and give them a fright that'll give them gray hair.
Over there where the salt water sprays, I gotta find out what makes mermaids afraid.
See, I'm a narrator, so I get paid for keeping you readers uplift in that page.
Wait, I've reached the ocean.
Now I can finally scare a mermaid.
And when I'm done, I'll have all I need to make the most exciting story ever.
Such a story you just can't put down and I'll tell it sun up to sun down.
Rich and famous, I'm well on my way because today is the day I will scare a mermaid.
Wait, how do I even get a mermaid to talk to me?
I know, I will ask nicely.
Mermaid, show yourself.
Mermaid, show yourself.
Mermaid, show yourself.
Alright, alright, chill out.
I know why you're here, I see it in your eyes.
You came to scare me, but you shouldn't even try.
There's not a thing that scares a mermaid, here's why.
Mermaids are awesome.
Not even the dark? No, every year of night time, we don't have lights down here.
What about Bigfoot?
Bigfoot's my second cousin on my mother's side.
Mmm, drowning. Is that a joke?
Fine, I'll tell you.
There's one thing that I am really afraid of, and it's when a story ends, ooh it makes me shiver.
The story's finished, I quiver head to liver, I cry me a river when stories conclude because it's a little bit scary, and I love to be rude.
So today you won't scare this mermaid.
Not today you won't scare this mermaid.
Came all this way to wear the saltwater sprays, but to make me afraid, you ain't got what it takes.
No, today I'm gonna scare this mermaid.
Yesterday I'm gonna scare you mermaid.
I came all this way to wear the saltwater sprays, and you're gonna see that I got what it takes.
Listen buddy, I'm only scared of the end of a story, literally the words, The End.
The only person that can say the words, The End, is a narrator.
Yeah, a narrator. How did you know that?
Well, because I'm a narrator.
No. Yeah. For real?
Here's my badge. Ah, looks so cute, like a little book.
A mermaid. Yeah. The End.
Jeez Louise, you scared the seashells out of me.
Beer, beer, beer, beer.
Welcome back to the 4th of July mixtape.
I'm your host, Dee J.
Squirmelade. Next up, we have a song from Victoria, a 6 -year -old in Missouri.
Here's, The Boy Who Hated Kisses.
Harold, time to leave for school.
Harold. Okay, Mom. Harold, aren't you forgetting something?
A big hug and kiss for your mom.
Come on. Mom, I'm late already.
I should probably...
And how about a nice big hug for Dad?
Dad, not now. Sorry.
Don't forget me, your big sister, Janie, who loves you so much.
Wah! Mom, Dad, Janie, there is something I need to say.
It occurred to me now that I'm 8 That it's time for me to take a stand I'm making a change, I'm making a move Send this message out across the land Mom and Dad will love you, but we gotta touch base It's time that I prioritized my personal space So from now on, the one thing that I love Is no kisses,
no hugs No kisses, no hugs No kisses, no hugs That's right, I, Harold, will officially not be hugging Or kissing anyone anymore And I request that you refrain from hugging or kissing me as well Oh, Harold, why?
You're so cute, and I could snug at you And I'd love you, and I'd just eat you right up And I'd put you in my pocket, and you're my Harold Mom, what did I just say?
Oh, my baby, my precious treasure It occurs to me, since I'm so cute That I'm very hugging, kissable But kisses are gross, they're slobbery too So now they're not permissible And hugs are almost worse, they always squeeze me so tight So now before my bedtime is a handshake, alright It's different, sure,
but this is what I love No kisses, no hugs No kisses, no hugs Okay, Harold, we will respect your wishes Okay, have a great day at school Monday and Tuesday Mom gets a handshake Dad gets a wave, oh yeah Wednesday and Thursday A fist bump for Janey And cool off the day Friday, Saturday, Sunday Hey, hey,
hey, hey Harold, time for your goodnight Pat on the head I'm loving my life He's loving his life It's written in pen No kisses or hugs next week Or ever again It's fine, I guess, but maybe not ideal Welcome home, Harold, everything okay?
Yeah, Dad, I just want to go to my room and think It's sad a little, not how I thought I'd feel I think I need a hug and a kiss Wow, a fishbowl is glimmering Shay, the beta fish, are you okay?
Hey, Harold Shay, what are you doing out of your fishbowl?
Wait, you can talk?
And sing It occurs to me Since I'm a fish And my eyes are always wide That you need a hug And you need a kiss Both of which I can't provide Wow, fish hug, fish kiss That was weird But also kind of cool?
Wait, how can you breathe?
You're out of the water Good point Catch you later, Harold Mom and Dad, I've changed my mind about something today You don't know what you're missing till you take it away So now each day, here is what I love Yeah, now each day, here is what I love Focus is for her Focus is for her Oh, Harold, we're
so happy to hear that Group family hug on three One, two Only that Shay?
Uh... Umm... Gop Gop Focus is for her Focus is for her Focus is for her Focus is for her Honey, breakfast Coming, Mom I love talking in a weird way I know who makes my love aside My teachers cry, my friends look crazy But it's so fun to have a weird day I gotta feed myself and that is why I see my mom
and tell her G -M -M -I -L -Y G -M -M -I -O -I Son, who are you saying?
This weird spelling game you're playing I thought she said you wouldn't do that anymore Mom, just listen carefully You know my words are true G -M -M -I -L -Y -E Good morning, Mom I love you Son, I love you too But that makes no sense That makes no sense You make no sense You make no sense This gibberish
is out of hand I can't begin to understand it It makes no sense It makes no sense You make no sense I used to find it funny But I'm older in a hurry It's just getting too intense You make no sense No sense, make no sense You gotta miss the bus Okay, Mom See you after school Alright everybody, take your
seats Open up your science books and turn to page forty -two Today we're learning about landforms Can anyone describe a plateau?
Raise my hand, of course, cause I know Yes, you went back there in the striped shirt A -P -I -L -A -M -B I -I -F -O -T And I -I -N -A -T -A -A -M Obviously I'm saying A plateau is like a mountain But it is flat on top And it is not as tall as a mountain That's actually a pretty good explanation But wait, that makes
no sense That makes no sense You make no sense Your antics drive me off the wall Go wait for me out in the hall It makes no sense It makes no sense You make no sense I know you think you're funny But I'm not paid enough money To seek to accept my expense You make no sense No sense, make no sense Thanks
for meeting with me, Mr.
and Mrs. Kidd Thanks for seeing us, the principal Your son's always talking weirdly He needs to stop We know, the principal Son, it's gotten completely out of hand What do you have to say for yourself?
H -I -W -N -S -I -W N -S -N -M W -Y -S I'm sorry, kid I just don't understand what you're saying They need to understand this part Hey, I will not stop I will never stop No matter what you say Hey, I will not stop I will never stop No matter what you say Wait a minute Talking normally feels great I will never
go back to talking all weird Oh, honey, we're not saying you should never be weird Just sometimes it's important to understand what you say You talk weird sometimes and talk normal other times?
What do you think, the principal?
Well, to be perfectly serious That all makes sense That all makes sense Yes, it makes sense You've gotta be the way you feel Just maybe sometimes keep it real I've been so tense I've been so tense So let's commence To find the perfect half and half of normal And what makes us laugh Then life won't be

I hope that wherever you are, you're enjoying a relaxing summer day or evening.
And happy 4th of July to all who celebrate.
Let's close this party out with the ultimate party trek!
From two sisters in Colorado named Allie and Sam.
Here's Fart Out Loud Day!
DJ Squirmalot out! Happy Fart Out Loud Day!
It's a way you can fart out loud, you don't have to be embarrassed.
Happy Fart Out Loud Day!
You can just let it out and have fun at the same time.
Everything was normal at the park, until somebody...
And then everybody stopped!
Did somebody just fart?
I think it was the little girl.
And then everybody stared.
Which is what always happens when somebody farts out loud.
But testing, excuse me, the little girl who farted just gave a big smile and shouted out loud.
Happy Fart Out Loud Day!
It's a way you can fart out loud, you don't have to be embarrassed.
Happy Fart Out Loud Day!
You can just let it out and have fun at the same time.
Can't say no at the medical center but Dr.
Wharton. And the results of your test are...
Blood pressure's normal.
She farted like 18 million times.
It's just my age a little times and if I was ever farted, you'd freak.
And after she was done, she farted all day long and she didn't have to worry, cause today does nothing to be happy Fart Out Loud Day!
It's a way you can let it out, you don't have to hold it in.
