What up?
We are back with another day of documenting the journey.
So if you don't know me yet, I'm Trey.
I work with established entrepreneurs to help them grow their presence online.
And this is week two, day one of documenting my journey.
I am 16 years old, but That doesn't stop me from working in the entrepreneurial space and actually working with these people who are trying to scale.
Maybe they're older, maybe they're a bit more mature, but it doesn't matter.
As long as you have the skill sets, you're able to catch up with them.
That's one thing I've learned recently.
But yeah, going to the coffee shop right now and I'm going to meet up with Beckett, one of my friends, who I haven't seen since I went to Salt Lake City last week.
So we're just going to catch up.
I'm going to get some work done.
All right, I'm at a coffee shop right now with my boy Beckett.
What's going on?
I have some discovery calls this week.
I might try to land a new client, might try to work with someone else, just like as a consulting offer.
So it's not as much of my time, but it would be nice to just have other work to do.
Yo, can you hear me like with the other editors on the other clipping page.
What i tell them is like pacing matters, like you have to have a good hook, you have to have a good this that you know, but with this page it's just good quote, that's it.
Hopefully we get that one back and then we'll have this other page moving all right.
So, as you know, it's a big goal of mine to play a major role in shaping the biggest names in the entrepreneur space.
I've been able to grow my personal brand to hundreds of thousands of followers, like really quickly, because i have six years of content experience, but now i want to apply that to other entrepreneurs to help them.
I'm really interested in working with someone who has, like a clothing brand or some sort of brand that we can use to leverage in some sort of documentation type series similar to represent clothing.
Which is this brand right here?
So the best way to get the attention of someone who is running a brand, a clothing brand even similar to Represent Clothing, is by creating a video breaking down Represent Clothing's documentation style and then hopefully, people wanting to replicate that will see the video, come to it, watch it, hopefully like what they saw and then want to work directly with me because I obviously know how it works.
It's an interesting concept because I can create videos on the specific topics of the niche I want to target, so I can attract them very easily, almost.
But we'll see how this goes.
I have like a rough outline of what i want this video to look like up on the monitor right here.
It's like all the sections.
I think it's just gonna be me kind of explaining stuff to the best of my ability and then hopefully i can piece it together into something that is really good.
But as long as i'm just giving out the value and i'm explaining how represent does it, that's all that really matters, and It'll be enough for people to be interested in it.
I've got the camera out here.
Let's get this recorded.
Represent Clothing is a British luxury streetwear brand that was founded by these two brothers, George and Mike Heaton.
Over time, it's become an extremely well- Alright guys, it is 10.30pm.
Honestly, today was not super productive.
I had a few calls with the content team for Daniel.
I...
Got some work done with the content breakdown of the documentation style of represent.
I started editing that.
We're like halfway through it, I'd say.
I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible just so it's purely education.
It's purely just breaking down the style.
No fancy edits or anything.
I mean, things were getting a little confusing just because I started to do a bunch of stuff with documenting and starting up a new video for the personal branding channel.
The Daniel clipping page got taken down.
Yeah, we had...
24 000 followers in the first like three weeks or four weeks on daniel's clipping page that I started.
We were doing really well.
We had like olympic athletes following us, like multi-millionaire entrepreneurs liking our stuff consistently, and then instagram took it down for impersonation.
So we're gonna probably get it back, but it really sucked to have that little like hiccup in the process.
I mean, it's been a couple days and it's been down so we haven't been posting.
But hopefully we can figure something out I know we will.
We always do.
It's just sucks.
It sucks.
It sucks when you have momentum and it just like you hit a wall, but it's fine.
We'll get it back up.
I think it's good to just kind of sit down and define What you're doing every now and then, like probably once a week, at least, even once a day.
I started to do it once a day.
Just look at like the overall board of what I'm working on, like the monthly goals, yearly goals.
You constantly need to remind yourself of all these things, because if you slightly deviate from the overall goal, that's when a lot starts going wrong.
So the goal is to help establish entrepreneurs, scale their presence online, right?
Like that's like the whole thing.
The reason for that is kind of a bigger vision that I'm not going to share just yet because I don't want to share all the goals I have.
It's time to go to bed though.
It's 1030 and I need to get some sleep.
So I'll probably carb up real quick, go to bed and then start editing this video tomorrow morning breaking down the represent strategy for their documentation.
So hopefully that leads to a new client or at least some attention from people wanting to do something similar.
But we'll see what happens there.
You know nothing.
Nothing's guaranteed, but i just need like a reason to do stuff and that's.
That's a really good reason to make the video.
So always start with the problem, not the solution.
That's the biggest thing.
That's changed everything for me.
All right, i'm gonna hop on a call with a guy who has a startup.
He's basically helping creators track their data better.
Super interesting, and it's like in the niche that i'm in.
So i am interested to just hear what he's building.
Some sick stuff.
How are you doing man?
Awesome, i'm good man.
How are you, like one loom, really diving deep into how you make five edits?
Which is that material?
Hey, we're filming each other, bro.
Do you know?
I didn't like appreciate the amount of work that needs to go into a personal brand, because you just see the final product that you don't see what goes on behind the scenes.
Yeah no, it's not getting into.
That whole personal branding thing is is a crazy game right now, like everyone and their mother's doing it.
So what's like the strategy going into everything?
Just walk me through it all.
This is what we need to do with the content.
This is the mission with the brand.
And we're going to make that very clear on camera.
Then it comes down to like the small tweaks.
All right.
So three calls wrapped up today.
I spent my day from like 10 am to now 3 45 pm basically just on calls, talking to people.
Yeah, i think it's really important to just get on calls with people.
You know, just randomly hit people up and be like hey man, i like what you're doing, let's talk.
And i don't think it hurts to just talk to people and ask them if they can give you feedback on whatever you're building, and then also you can give them feedback on what they're building.
Fair game for everyone, right?
Yeah, the calls went well and now it's making me rethink everything, so i'm gonna map everything out today.
You know, i think i need to have more clarity and just set kpis and everything i'm doing.
So then, whenever i do things, i know why i'm doing them and we have a clear goal with every single step of the process.
Yeah, let's just clarify a bunch of stuff today.
Good calls, though like i was saying, it's important to network, just reach out to people who are doing similar things to you on online, email them, message them on instagram, whatever it is, and just be like let's chat.
You know it's.
Why not do it?
You know it's.
It's only going to be good things hopefully, unless they like, So I'll scam you and I'll get on the call with you if you give me 3000.
New day, new call.
What up, Will?
How you doing, man?
All right.
Just got my shoes on.
I actually see Beckett right over there.
So I'll just go meet up with him right now and go for a little three mile run.
All right, week number two, we made it.
Honestly, this week was a lot harder than the last one, since it was just pure work and I had to find times to pick up the camera and document what I was doing, but the return on it is much greater.
I think it's really good to have people see the work I'm doing and just be able to connect through that.
Just off that last video I was getting a ton of DMs, a bunch of people reaching out to me, Being like I see what you're doing and I really resonate with it.
And they're able to find me in my work just because I decided to pick up the camera and document what I was doing.
And it's very powerful.
I don't recommend it for everyone since it does take a bit of time and energy.
But personally, for me, a big thing I need right now is connections and being able to talk to people who have already done what I want to do.
So it's important that I put myself out there and just open for people to reach out to me.
And the return is obviously there because it works.
I'm really looking into like a more niche and specific problem I'm solving so that I can replicate it with other people.
Right now I'm in between a few ideas, so I'm not going to say anything just yet.
I don't want to just make everything public before i can come to a conclusion, but i'll talk about that in the next video, hopefully.
Yeah, we'll see what happens next week.
I'm just going to keep documenting, keep showing you guys what's actually going on.
Like this week was super raw, just me working most of the time.
So we'll see what happens in the third week.
See you then.
