Summer.
Beautiful, beautiful summer.
Thank you.
Hey everyone!
I'm so happy to finally do a video again like this when I talk to you directly.
It's been a really long time and I've missed this so much.
And Nanook have missed you all so much as well.
Me and Nanook just went down here to the lake to watch the sunset.
It's so beautiful.
There hasn't been many days in the winter that's been like this.
It's been a really, really cloudy winter.
So to see this it's like i don't know coming out on the other side of a long dark journey, it's like coming to heaven.
So it's first of february now and the sun is coming back to us now.
The light is coming back after 2-3 months of very much darkness.
The light has returned and for every day that goes by it's gonna be lighter and lighter.
It feels very hopeful.
Just sitting here in the sun now, I can feel how something comes back to me.
Some kind of spark, some kind of life force that is resting a lot during the darkest time.
I'm happy to be back.
So it's a new year now and I'm so glad that you are here, that you want to hang out with me for another year.
And I so much look forward to find back to joy again in creating and having more time for that.
Okay, it's getting pretty cold, so we're going back home now.
Nanaki's ready to go home.
It's just so beautiful.
I could never get tired of this.
When winter looks like this, it's just beautiful.
Oh gosh, I'm carrying so many heavy stuff as always.
Ouch.
Okay, see you at home.
I need to go home now.
Nanook is very tired now.
Sitting here working a little bit on the kitchen table.
So what's for dinner today?
Pizza?
Always when we eat in videos, we always eat pizza.
Yeah.
It's leftovers from yesterday that we are heating up.
Hello there.
Have you missed the vlog live?
The big guy.
I guess it's time to take down the Christmas lights now, but I don't know.
I think it's beautiful.
This is a good exercise.
I've been sledding through the whole village and back again.
I'm soon back home.
As long as i lived here, i loved to do this in the winter, to just take the sled and maybe listen to some music.
I have some headphones on and yeah, i don't know, it's like meditation in a way.
I especially love to take the sled when it's moonlight outside.
It's only a couple of days left until it's full moon.
So it's really bright now.
Moonlight on a winter landscape.
That's just, that's magical.
It's minus 20 Celsius degrees outside, so it's really cold, But yeah, I just feel really warm Because I've been moving constantly.
It's just a.
Did you hear that?
It's these sounds, you know, I've been talking about it before.
When it's really cold outside, the trees are snapping.
Like something breaks.
It's like the ice.
When the ice starts to sing, it breaks and cracks and makes these sounds.
Yeah, the trees does the same when it's really cold.
And that's so loud.
Sometimes it's really loud, so I think I'm gonna go back home now.
It's getting pretty late, so I guess it's time to sleep.
Good night, everyone.
I see you tomorrow.
We have been a bit lazy lately, so we haven't really taken off all the snow from the stairs here.
I slipped here last night because it's almost like a downhill, so I need to cut away the snow because it's really hard.
It's so hard packed.
We're going to lay here in the sun, chewing on the bone.
Yummy, yummy.
I could watch Nanook all day long chewing on a bone.
He's so cute.
Hey the Queen oh, you want to go in.
Oh, it's cold outside, I know okay, this is much better now.
We can at least see that it's stairs underneath the snow.
I don't know if you can see it, but we have some renovations we need to do on the roof here in the spring, because the heavy snow fell and crushed some pieces.
It's still a lot on the roof.
We should take it down actually.
Hey!
Hey Nanook!
It's another beautiful bright day today.
Hello, my love think i'm doing like the sun is so strong.
Yeah yeah, now it's the time of the winter when you start to need glasses when you're outside, because it's really bright.
The sun is not super high, as you can see, there it is, but the snow makes it so bright.
It's okay to have him free on this road, because it doesn't come to many cars, as you can see.
It's time for a little interview with you.
No.
I guess people are curious.
I'm not prepared.
That's good.
Say a word or a few words that you want 2023 to be.
Some words that describe the year that you hope.
Yeah, I know one word.
It's creative.
Creativity.
Yeah.
Free... freedom?
Yeah, because you're my prisoner.
Are you going to try to escape like Nana does?
Yeah, yeah.
Running away.
I'm gonna find the keys.
I'm just gonna run away.
Hey mama!
She was like, what are you wearing on?
Wearing on.
What are you wearing on?
What are you carrying?
Johan is just picking up the poopy.
I know we live kind of out of the nowhere so it's not like super important to take it up, but I still like to do it when we walk along the main road in the village.
Shall I?
Would you want it?
Okay.
You take it.
You can go.
Please take it.
Nanook, he has already escaped now.
He went straight to my parents house because he always know he gets some candy when he's there.
So we gotta go pick him up.
Nanook!
Where did you go?
Oh, you got some candy.
Wait, there's magic in the air!
It's magic in the air, the bling bling.
I don't know if you can see you guys on the video here that it's like shiny things flowing in the air.
That happens when it's really cold in the air and it's like ice crystals.
Oh, I love when that comes.
What's your word for the year?
Pancakes.
Great word.
Here was the old grocery store in Grundtjärn when my mom grew up here, and it's also the house that we rented for like a winter a couple of years ago, where we had a That's where we packed photo prints for the webshop, and I also had it as a painting studio, but it was only for a short time.
But it's a really nice house.
And right now it's just owned by The Village Show.
Every year we have sometimes parties or get-togethers or meetings.
We say it like it's a community building for the village.
Oh, he's eating deer food.
So now we are on our way to my grand-uncle Tage.
If you've been around for a while, you know who he is.
He's the coolest person on earth.
He just got a delivery from IKEA, a bed and some other stuff.
And we're going to help carry it inside and help putting it up together.
It's fantastic, isn't it?
Yeah, it's amazing.
Now it's time for some coffee! this is good finnish pins are the best finnish sticks ok, bye!
It's really cold outside now.
We're taking the evening walk with Nanook in the moonlight.
Watching the sky.
Yeah, that's one of the things we love to do most in the winter is to look at the moon spike.
Yeah, yes, walking like this.
Yeah, we always walk like this.
Now we're here again by the grocery store.
Such a beautiful evening.
The moon is shining really bright.
You and have been gathering some more wood because it's going to be a cold night.
Good morning.
It's cold in here.
How cold is it outside?
27.
27?
Okay, that's why.
But you've made a fire.
Wow, what a beautiful morning.
If there's a car or a truck going on the other side of the lake, you hear it so loud.
Because it's so quiet here.
Monarch is having a good time.
It's really cold today.
It's not the perfect day to go to town, because we should be home keeping the fire alive in the stove instead.
So it's going to be pretty cold when we get back home later, but it's fine, we can do it.
So we're going to selefteå today, the closest city.
It's like one hour away, and we go there once every week to get some groceries and yeah, sometimes you have other things you need to do there.
Today we are actually going to meet up with Adrian, you know, our friend and co-worker, because he's going in there to do some service on the quad.
We actually bought a quad for the business last year so that we could drive with the packages with the jewellery packages down to the main road where the packages gets picked up by FedEx.
It's too long to walk with the packages, so now it's service on that quad.
So it's a really good timing because we're going in in Sollefteå as well, so we're gonna meet up and eat some lunch together.
Are you ready?
Going to town!
Johan is upset with me because I spilled coffee in the car.
Yeah, a lot of coffee.
Making a mess.
So now it will smell like old coffee in the air for two weeks, maybe.
It could have been worse.
Ah, some more to spill.
Cheers.
Are you saying to me or to...?
No, to them.
Not to you, because you... You're still... You're still grumpy.
Thank you.
Hiya.
Good morning.
It's bloody cold.
Yeah, it's really cold.
How are you doing today?
Good, you got a new camera?
Yeah, it's a GoPro.
Adrian is doing customer service on the car.
Oh my god.
This is dedication.
Look at this cozy coffee shop.
It's called Café Petter in Sollefteå.
Yeah, you two are all dressed up poshly and I'm like...
You look like a timber woodcutter man.
We just went in here now.
We're gonna have a cup of coffee and some fika.
I think Ewan is tired of me because I'm filming all day.
Checking out the back of the house there.
Looking over the lake.
Yep.
So then he could sink it down.
No, I mean, I think it's the best to just see it as a fun problem.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm doing some recycling.
Paper.
Hello dog!
Are you excited?
Yeah, this will be interesting.
Now I'm going to do something that I've been wanting to do for years.
Here's my sound recorder.
I have Johan to help me.
Yes.
Because we are going to go into the creepy forest.
It's the forest just behind our garden, kind of.
It's a forest that I've been talking about a long time ago in an earlier video.
Is it going good back there?
Yeah.
Okay, good.
But this forest is making so many weird sounds.
It has for ever since we moved here.
I can't hear.
Okay, hear that much?
No okay, i see.
Well come, come.
That's why we called it a creepy forest.
And it's not only that we hear noises.
Sometimes we stand here and we hear almost like voices or like it's people there or i don't know, like someone is walking yeah, forest like branches breaking.
Yeah, because you have your smithy here in the, in the red house that's where Johan has his jewelry workshop and sometimes when you go outside to pee or something yeah, it's really quiet, but you can hear something is going on up in the forest.
Maybe you think it's animals maybe, but it's like, sometimes it's just all the time you can just hear yeah, it's quite close but yeah, some activity.
It sounds like human steps or yeah, hard to explain.
And it's also the feeling that we have in this forest.
One of the things i was most happy about to move here to this place was that we had this huge, beautiful forest behind our home and i thought i would spend so much time in that forest.
But the first time we took a walk in this forest it was just up here yeah, just up here in the forest.
We both got a very strange feeling like yeah, something is off, something is a bit off yeah, and i don't know what it is.
I think we both are very sensitive.
My mother as well.
She was helping me record a lucia video in in the forest here a couple of years ago and We both felt like a bit afraid of the dark.
Yeah, it's not a good translation.
No, that's not a good translation.
I just felt a bit like someone was watching us or that.
Like when I walk here sometimes in the forest to to take some photos or something, I just I don't feel comfortable and I have no idea why.
Yeah, so can you just explain what happened with the ladder?
That time I used a ladder, that is, you open it up like it's a stairs, you know what's called like stair ladder, or?
Yeah, you can bend it yeah, you can unfold it, and yeah, and when i unfolded it, it made a metal sound and then i continued doing other stuff and then when i was walking back to the house, I heard exactly I mean, it was exactly that sound like maybe five or ten minutes after up here in the forest.
Exactly like that metal, like it's, yeah.
Like a replay.
Yeah, it was almost like someone who had recorded it and played it again.
And that is just creepy, you know?
I talked a little bit about this creepy forest some years ago and since then one of my most requested videos have been a video where I record sounds from this forest and i i've only tried like once or twice, but the thing is that i've always felt uncomfortable go here with a sound recorder by myself, because usually i want to put the sound recorder before the evening when it's dark, and then it's like oh, i don't feel comfortable going there, But now Johan has promised me.
I will protect you.
He will follow me.
So now, for the next two weeks, I will put out my sound recorder in the creepy forest every night and hope, i hope we will get something weird.
Yeah, because it's definitely things going on in there and i would love to capture it.
But we will see.
So this is the first night.
Okay, let's go lead away.
All right, it's a lot of heavy snow now it really starts to feel like a Blair Witch project.
We might never come back home again.
We have brought some snowshoes.
Yeah.
Where should we put it?
Actually this part is not the creepiest part.
What's the most creepy part?
Up there?
Yeah, it's up there somewhere.
Maybe we can start with the less creepy part.
Put it here on the blanket.
Oops.
Oh no.
Lost a little muff.
Fluff, muff.
These sound recorders are actually pretty amazing because i've had this one out in the nights recording the ice.
You think they're gonna die because of the cold, but they, they can do so much more than you think say nothing.
Hello hello yeah okay, so press record Okay.
Night number one.
It's so deep snow here.
Look at the moon up there.
So beautiful.
It's probably gonna be minus 30 tonight.
Yeah.
So we gotta be prepared mastering the human into this conversation of.
There are times when I don't have it figured out or I didn't dip my head in judging.
A lot of my lessons have come from the shadow nature of it, of being a highly sensitive person.
Good evening everybody!
I'm upstairs now in my little temporary art studio.
During this winter I have my art studio at home.
I usually don't have that.
I'm in the middle of moving my art studio to a new place and I will tell you all about that later.
But yeah, right now during the winter and for some more months I'm gonna be here.
It's a little corner upstairs and I don't have that much space but I actually think It works fine.
It's Friday evening now and I'm actually really tired.
It's been a long day and a long week.
But I just felt inspired to go up and paint and squeeze out the last energy I have of this day.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you, everyone on this channel.
Especially now because of the beautiful response that I got on the last video.
I want to thank every one of you for being on this channel and for your beautiful comments, and to all of you people out there who helped me create this video.
I want you to know that I'm so, so grateful to all of you.
I could never have done the video without you, and I'm just so happy that so many of you wanted to do this project.
By the way, if you don't know what I'm talking about right now, you can look at my previous video.
You can find it on my YouTube channel.
Or I will just link it in the description below.
Thank you to all of you who contributed to this project.
And to all of you who sent in videos.
I wish I could have all of your videos in this video.
There are still thousands of videos that I have that really deserved to be in the video.
There's still hundreds of videos that I haven't even seen yet.
It would take me weeks to look through all the videos.
It's really important to me that you know that if your video didn't make it to the final project, It doesn't mean that I didn't like it.
I loved every single video that you guys sent me and yeah, i'm so grateful to all of you.
I'm so so, so grateful.
I can't really explain in words editing this video has been so emotional, especially the last week when i worked with the video and i was putting it all together.
It almost felt like I was on a healing retreat or something, because every day I got to listen to you guys.
I got to feel the love that you all sent through the camera lens.
And it really affected me.
All the things that you said and shared.
You know I get to hear it so many times and it really made a difference in my own energy, or how to say.
I felt like I was in a constant state of heart coherence as I edited the video.
Yeah, it was one of the most beautiful things I've felt, I think.
I cried a lot.
As I edited the video, I looked mostly like this.
I actually didn't know how other people would react to the video, because I didn't know if it was just me who felt so emotional hearing all your messages.
But then when I published the video and I got to see all of your beautiful comments and how many people out there actually felt the same way, I realized that yeah, I'm not alone.
There's so many people out there that I got affected in the same way and felt really touched.
Yeah, I guess I just feel so honored, so honored that you guys, you beautiful people, actually watches my videos.
I feel a bit like starstruck in a way.
Just seeing all these beautiful people on the video and to know that they follow me.
Wow.
I feel like I'm in love with all of you.
I'm still in that state of so much love.
Even though I created the video and put it together, I still see it more like your video.
I just got the chance to share your voices.
And I'm so grateful that you trusted me to do that, that you trusted me to send in videos.
I know it was a big thing for a lot of you.
It was stepping out of your comfort zone.
So again, I want to say thank you.
Thank you for being you and for spreading so much love and light, no matter if you were part of this project or not.
Just that you are being here and watching my videos and yeah, being part of this community, since i still have so many beautiful videos out there from from you guys, from subscribers.
I think I said earlier that I am going to continue sharing the videos now, and then I figured it would be perfect to share a couple of videos in the ending of my vlogs to kinda end the video.
So I'm going to do that in this video now.
Alright, I'm gonna continue doing some winter night painting and Yeah, let's end this video with some beautiful videos from you guys.
Thank you for watching this video.
I love you.
Hello everyone, my name is Kateryna and I'm from Ukraine.
You know I love the phrase one candle can light up thousands of candles, but for that it has to shine itself.
I just want to wish everyone that, despite all the hard situations that we are going through in our lives, we still have to believe in bright and happy future.
Never lose the light inside your soul.
It will lead you through the darkest times.
Hi, i'm andy.
I'm from the midlands in england.
What would i say to four million people?
Difficult one, really.
I would say, particularly with life, we're here to learn and we're here to grow.
Nobody has this worked out.
So don't think Because you're struggling, you can't get through something.
You can, you can do it.
That's the whole point of being here.
That's the whole point of the lesson is to grow.
Enjoy every minute.
Enjoy every minute like there's no tomorrow.
I know these sound cliche, but it is true.
And remember the song.
What doesn't kill you will make you stronger.
Hi, my name is Hannah.
And my name is Jack, and this is our daughter Scout.
We love hearing about small acts of kindness and we were wondering what is one kind thing you have done today?
For us.
We joined the Wildlife Trust, which is something that we'll donate to every month, and that money goes towards protecting wildlife, which is something we're really interested in.
Sending best wishes, lots of love from an unusually dry United Kingdom.
Bye!
Hi Yona, this is Selma from Namibia.
And if I had an opportunity to address 4 million people, I would tell each and every soul to never give up on hope.
There is hope.
And I just want to tell each and everybody that we're all feeling it, but we need to believe in hope, because there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Hello everyone.
My name is Vendula, I'm from Czech Republic and I'm here with my friends and we have a little message for you.
We all are biologically designed to be these beautiful, unique creatures, But the world is constantly shaming us for being unique and different, and it doesn't make any sense to me.
So I think we should not be scared to love ourselves.
I'm still learning how to love myself, but sometimes it's hard.
But I don't care what the world thinks.
The world is out of its mind.
Thank you.
My name is Benjamin.
I am retired United States Army.
I was a soldier and an Arabic translator for 24 years.
I didn't have a lot of time to stop and smell the roses and find my peace while I was active duty.
Obviously, I was a busy man.
But I found it now.
So my advice to Yonah, Yohan, to all those followers out there, find your peace.
And when you do find it, hang on to it with both hands and don't let it go, because these kinds of things do not sit still for very long.
Bless you all.
Take care.
