We studied... What's up this weekend? What's up this weekend?
And today we're going to learn this expression.
I'm going to kick back. I'm gonna kick back.
I'm going to kick back. K-I-C-K-B-A-C-K.
No, to kick back doesn't mean to kick. Somebody in their back.
Oh, that would be painful. No, it doesn't mean that.
To kick back means to relax. so you can imagine me right now i'm sitting at my desk and i'm working hard but now i'm going to Sit back in my chair.
And I'm going to put my feet... On the desk.
So I'm kicking my feet. out onto my desk and I'm leaning back and Ah, this is relaxing.
I'm kicking back. So... What's up this weekend?
Eh, I'm going to kick back. What does that mean?
That's right. It means you're going to do nothing this weekend. you're going to relax, you're going to maybe watch some TV, maybe read a book, Maybe sleep a lot.
It's a great expression. And you know what?
Tomorrow is Sunday, and I know many of you do not work.
So if you're not working tomorrow, why don't you just kick back?
Let's check out a dialogue. You wanna go do something?
Nah, I'm gonna kick back. You're so lazy.
Hey, I had a long week. week. All right, the dialogue is pretty simple.
You wanna go do something grammatically?
Do you want to go do something? go to a movie, go to a baseball game, something like that.
The guy says, no, I'm going to kick back.
I'm gonna relax. I'm going to relax. And then the other person says, you're so lazy.
Oh my goodness. You never do anything. You are so lazy.
L-A-Z-Y. And the guy says, hey, I had a long week.
And that's another great expression. If you have a long week.
That means you had a busy week. You were doing lots and lots of work and you need to relax.
So, what's up this weekend? What's up tomorrow?
Are you going to go someplace? Are you going to do something or are you just going to kick back?
Well, if you kick back, I hope you have a nice rest.
