Here's the news. An exhibition on ancient Chinese clothing has been launched in Berlin, Germany, aiming to showcase how the Confucian core value of ritual was expressed in Chinese clothing culture.
Set to run until October 9th this cultural event is part of the 2024 Confucius International Cultural Exchange Series.
The exhibition features a special selection of heirloom garments from the Great Philosopher's Hometown in Chufu, in East China's Shandong Province.
These ancient outfits vividly showcase the splendor of Ming Dynasty clothing culture, while reflecting the lasting influence of Confucianism on social life.
Sun Chihang, director of the China Cultural Center in Berlin, expressed hopes that this exhibition can serve as a bridge between the ancient and modern, east and west, fostering exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding between civilizations.
Hua Jinggang, the curator of the exhibition, noted that this exhibition allowed German people to experience up close the beauty and intricacy of ancient Chinese garments, as well as the Confucian values embodied in the clothing, enhancing their Understanding of Chinese Culture.

A team of Chinese scientists has published the first research paper on the lunar samples brought back by the Chang 'e -6 mission, saying that the Chang 'e -6 samples exhibit distinct characteristics compared to previously obtained ones.
The team found that the Chang 'e -6 soil samples have a lower density than previous samples, indicating a more porous and loosely structured composition.
The plagioclase content of the Chang 'e six samples is significantly higher than that of the Chang 'e five while their olivine content is significantly lower.
Geochemical analysis has shown that their concentration of trace Space elements, such as thorium, uranium, and potassium, is markedly different from the samples retrieved by the Apollo missions and the Chang 'e 5 mission.
The study was jointly carried out by scientists from the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center, and Beijing Institute of Spacecraft System Engineering.
The research paper has been published in the journal National Science Review.
The Chang 'e 6 probe was launched on May 3rd this year, its returner made a landing in North China in June, bringing back 1 ,935 .3 grams of samples from the far side of the Moon.

The Cyber Space Administration of China has released a draft regulation that aims to standardize the labeling of AI -generated synthetic content to protect national security and public interests, Titled Measures for Identifying AI -Generated Synthetic Content The draft regulation is open for public feedback until October 14, 2024.
AI generated synthetic content, as defined by the proposed rules, is any text, image, audio, and video created using artificial intelligence technologies.
Under the draft regulation, Internet Information Service providers must adhere to mandatory national standards when labeling such content.
Providers offering functions like downloading, Copying or exporting AI -generated materials must ensure that explicit labels are embedded in the files.
Platforms that distribute content are also required to regulate the spread of AI -generated materials by offering identification functions and reminding users to disclose whether their post contain AI -generated content.

Restoration work on the Qingchung Palace Complex, a royal sacrificial venue along the historic central axis of Beijing has been completed.
Built over 500 years ago in the Ming Dynasty, the palace is located inside the altar of the God of agriculture, also referred to as the Xi 'en -Nong -Tan temple.
The palace was a place where the emperors abstained from heavy meals and meditated before worship.
Later, in the Qing dynasty, It served celebration rituals after the Emperor's held cultivation ceremonies to pray for a good harvest.
Restoration work of the ancient buildings started in June last year, following the principle of minimal intervention.
This approach focused on targeted repairs for damaged cultural relics, such as tiles and walls.
Traditional materials were used to pave the ground in the courtyard.
Workers also renovated the drainage system and equipped the houses with air conditioners and necessary lighting facilities.
Additionally, security monitoring systems, firefighting systems, and lightning -protection facilities were also installed.
Pan Wei, deputy director of the Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum, expressed hopes that the Chingcheng palace would become a place for visitors to experience traditional culture and for experts to have academic exchanges on world cultural heritage.
He believed that such activities could further enhance public awareness of the protection of historical and cultural heritage.
Stretching 7 .8 km from Yongding gate in the south to the Bell and Drum Towers in the north, The Beijing Central Axis was added to the United Nations Cultural Heritage List in July.

In China, Lu Ban is a household name revered as the godfather of Chinese carpentry and structural engineering for his extraordinary skills and numerous inventions.
The highest honor in China's construction industry is even named after him the Lu Ban So what did he do?
And how good was he to enjoy such a title?
Now have you ever heard of woodwork that's created with nothing more than a single piece of wood, without glue, screws, or any nails?
Luban was the very man who came up with such innovation that requires minimal tools but lots of layout and hand -tool skills.
He did it some 2500 years ago, having lived in the 6th to 5th century BC.
Now, a little bit of his background before we move on to what he did and made.
Lu Ban's actual name is Gongshu Ban, but since he hailed from the ancient state of Lu, he is popularly known as Lu Ban.
He was born into a family practicing carpentry for generations and at a very young age he started to join his family members in construction projects.
It keen on picking up the family trade by inventing new tools.
Luban was a consummate carpenter, especially a master of the axe.
His axe skills were said to be so excellent that once he carved a wooden Phoenix which was so lifelike that people believed it could fly.
Lu Ban also improved the durability of axes, Thus, leading to the famous Chinese idiom, Brandish One's axe at Lu Ban's door.
Ban man nong fu means, making yourself a fool in front of a pro.
It is used in the same way with the English idiom, teaching fish to swim.
