Coffee Break English, Season 4, Episode 2, Extra Hello everyone, welcome to another extra episode of Coffee Break English.
In the main episode, we spoke about the big five South African safari animals.
In this extra episode, I'm talking to Tomas about going on safari.
Tomas is from Germany, so it's a good opportunity to hear a different accent.
I hope you enjoy this conversation.
Tomas, have you ever been on safari?
No, I haven't. The closest I've come to going on safari was going to the zoo in Edinburgh a few years ago.
There are pandas in Edinburgh zoo, aren't there?
Yes, there are. They came to Scotland from China in 2011.
It was fascinating to see them.
They were much bigger than I thought.
Have you seen them?
No, I haven't. I think they're going back to China next year, so I should go soon.
To be honest, I prefer seeing animals in a safari park, because they have more space to move around and more freedom.
Yes, that's true. I remember I went to a safari park with my family years ago.
We were driving rounded in our car, and then the car in front of us stopped because a monkey jumped on the roof.
Oh no! What happened?
I have no idea why the monkey got so close to the car, but luckily all of the windows were closed, so it didn't get inside.
I think the driver managed to call someone who worked at the park, and they came and took the monkey away back to a safe place.
I'm glad everyone was okay in the end, and the monkey, of course.
Let's listen to the conversation again a little faster this time.
