I'm just kidding.
All right, it's March 13th.
Friday the 13th.
It's Friday, the 13th 2020, and today is my last day of school as of now, for at least the next three weeks, because of the coronavirus known as COVID-19.
The district released or published some note last night.
Basically said that they're moving our spring break to now.
So we have two weeks of school off starting Monday, and then we have one week of online classes.
I'm probably gonna film that too, so stay tuned for future videos. to kind of show what that's like.
But yeah, today's our last day of school.
I'm basically gonna go around to all my classes, film people's reactions thoughts, maybe interview some of my teachers.
Random kids in the hallway.
Who knows?
It could be madness.
I have no idea what to expect.
Everyone's kind of nervous or unsure how to act or feel.
So it's just gonna be really interesting to watch what unfolds over the course of the day.
So stay tuned.
I'm about to start to get off a little bit of power, energy, motivation.
It is 842 and time to go, so I'm not late to school.
My mom's driving me because it's raining.
Normally I'd be biking to school I.
I'm missing glasses.
It's that kind of morning.
Things will be interesting.
Yeah.
Might not want to put that in there, but it's kind of funny.
OK, I'll sit.
All right, so mom, thank you for giving me a ride to school.
Happy to do it on a day like today.
Explain your situation.
Situation is i am a professor and i will be learning to teach um online using an online program called zoom that i've been using for a long time, so it should be just fine.
But yeah, we'll be having class online soon enough.
In our living room.
I was thinking of doing maybe, a house tour for my students.
What do you think We'll see?
Yeah, so this whole situation is crazy, affecting everyone in their own kind of different ways.
But all I know is we're going to be having a lot of family time together.
And that's a good thing.
Which is awesome.
Mom already broke out the board games.
I did.
Yeah, we have a couple out.
All right.
Well, wish me luck at school.
I will.
Good luck.
Wash your hands a lot.
Sing the happy birthday song.
We're going into the battleground zone.
Who knows what's going to happen?
Last day.
The battleground.
It's a little extra.
It's the war zone.
Yeah, we'll see who came to school today.
I can already see people dancing in that classroom.
No way.
They're not dancing.
Yeah, some dude was dancing.
There's a bit of joy around this, but I don't think people realize.
Well, it's okay, you have to have a little joy.
People are excited and scared and nervous and no one really knows what to feel.
Bye, have a great day.
Text me later if you need a ride.
Oh, careful.
Love you.
Much love.
Bye.
This is monumental.
This is history.
Hmm, or any other teacher-directed sites, regularly during that week for any updated assignments and feedback.
You should participate in engaging in completing those assignments each day.
About 30 to 40 minutes per class to complete your assignments each day that week of March the 30th.
Also communicate immediately with teachers regarding any barriers or obstacles to completing the assigned work.
Every class?
Yeah.
The same slideshow?
It's mandatory.
Great.
That means no one.
Your patience, as we have gone through certainly an unprecedented period of time.
But, as always, the major goal is to keep our students, our staff and our community safe.
Thank you, Tigers.
Let's have a great rest of the day.
Thanks, Mr Blanchard.
High school secondary extended learning day plan.
All right, so y'all, this is, this is literally what we got going on.
Today's uh friday, the 13th last day of school because of this is to provide an opportunity for all students to engage in in at home extended learning to make up any missed instructional time, virtually or through the use of.
Alright guys, welcome to my MTV crib.
We're gonna go through the front door here.
The house on the outside is where I parked my Tesla.
We're going to go through the front door here.
Oh, straight into the kitchen.
This is where I'm going to be cooking our meals.
This is where I'm going to be eating as a family.
And then if we turn around here, you can see we have Susan reading a book in the corner.
We have the stairs that go upstairs.
Got the living room.
Everyone say hello to Susan.
And that's my house tour.
Thank you for watching and see you guys next time, maybe in like a month going.
Who knows, we might never come back because if it's expensive you're gonna knock this building down.
So thank you.
All right, we're here.
Second period live with Lily Reeves.
Any thoughts, emotions?
Everyone stay safe.
Please be healthy.
It's gonna be hard, but it'll be okay.
And it's true.
Try to be healthy.
Are you scared?
No, I'm not scared for myself.
I'm scared for the health care system and for the elderly.
The economy.
Yeah, I'm not scared for myself.
What are your predictions?
About what?
Like all this.
Do you think it's gonna go away?
It's gonna be fine?
I think it'll go away in a few weeks, but definitely the panic is gonna be around for a couple of weeks.
What do you think?
I think it's going to be around for a while.
It's like, it's going to be okay.
We're just kind of getting tired of it.
Like, it's getting hard.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
I'm scared, but it's going to be okay.
It's going to be fine.
No, everything's going to be fine.
Wait, so are we not having our quiz dough?
That's what I'm wondering.
I don't think there's a reason to prolong it.
I think we're going to go back to school.
No one knows.
No one knows.
Who knows?
Who knows?
All I know is we're going to get a presentation from Mr. Nally.
Cyrus, honestly, I love saying no to plans.
Woo!
Your attention for a few minutes to go over some things with you.
Some of it may be repeated information you heard last week.
I don't want to be able to answer any concerns and worries you have.
Mr. Nally, thanks for resting.
Thanks.
The restroom this is also what um bathroom looks like in america urinal urinal, stall stuff but it says like toilet and a urinal in it, which i think is really weird.
These are like the little posters or like papers they put up in all the bathrooms.
Stop the spread of germs.
COVID-19.
Help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stay home when you're sick.
Wash your hands for at least, at least 20 seconds.
A B C D E F G H, I.
Pro tip when you dry off your hands and you have the paper towel, you have to open the door.
Use it to open the door.
And then you don't have to touch it anymore.
That's how we stay safe in times like these.
How are you feeling about all this?
It's great.
I'm more likely to die from a seizure than this.
That's true.
I think it's great that we're not cut out of school because I need to sleep.
Yeah.
That's pretty much it.
I'm not scared, but things get canceled, and then that scares me.
I'm scared for my grandma.
Same.
Yeah, because old people, they don't do well with it.
But for myself, I'm not scared.
Yeah.
I'm sitting next to a famous YouTuber.
Okay, okay, okay.
What's the question again?
Are you scared?
Am I scared?
No, because I feel like I'm going to work for my parents.
I want them to stay healthy.
And my grandparents.
That sucks.
Hey, Ms.
Campbell.
French class.
It's going to be a blast.
So the national French event is not canceled.
We received an email.
So can you put your heads down, please?
Can you put your heads down?
We're seeing what is happening in Italy and what's happening in Massachusetts.
That is two weeks in the past, because that's how long it takes for things to incubate and spread, which is 40 days, which is how long that they would ask people to stay separated.
Anyways, that's your dinner, like your party trip.
Taking a break to wash our hands.
Do this every day.
20 seconds.
20 seconds.
20 seconds.
20 seconds.
Chance, was that 20 seconds?
Yeah, that was definitely 20 seconds.
Whoa, was that 20 seconds?
Of course.
Okay, good.
5, 6, 7, 19, 20.
Well, good.
We're out.
I'm really worried about being out of school because without like the structure of school then I don't get up in the morning and then it can be like a few days and I won't have gotten up, which is really bad.
And also I'm really worried about the kids who get like school lunches, because a lot of them don't have resources at home to have food.
So I'm really thankful for organizations like Porch and Table that are going to be helping out those students during their break.
But anyway, it's really uncertain and there's a lot of fear in the air.
But we're going to be alright.
Andre, how are you feeling?
That's cool.
Bye Max, love you jack.
What are your current thoughts, feelings on this whole virus situation?
Shoot, okay.
So basically, i mean for our senior year, kind of sucks, because i know there's a bunch of people playing sports.
You know i'm playing golf, i have friends playing baseball across a lot of stuff.
They all have their seasons.
Pretty much all i know is that it's canceled, they're suspended for now.
Many people have been playing those sports for four years and They don't have that like kind of recognition of like night that they have where, like you know, it's your final game.
Like, it's a big deal.
And they could possibly not have that.
Like, I didn't have that chance.
I mean, like, I appreciated everything.
I appreciated all the moments that I had with people.
But you know, I assume you know during that, like last couple months of school, you always like appreciated it a little bit more.
Yeah.
But, like, now it's, like...
Dang.
I probably should have started that sooner.
Are you at all scared?
Do you think we're going to run out of food or toilet paper?
No.
The economy's already taking a hit.
The stock market's already taking a hit.
The business side of it, you know, restaurants.
A couple of my friends work at restaurants.
Absolutely no one's in there right now.
People are not coming, not going out.
It's affecting a lot.
Where are you going?
To the couch.
Elbow deck box only from now on.
On the coronavirus.
I think it's not that big of a deal, but at the same time it's just affecting everything we do so much you know.
Yeah, but if there's an apocalypse.
It's not going to affect us individually, but it is structurally.
Elizabeth, how are you feeling about the coronavirus?
So I feel like we're in a simulation and that the world is ending.
I don't know.
I want to go to sleep but I feel like I can't because I feel like it's inevitable.
I'm going to get it just with my luck and stuff.
And if I do get it, I don't want people to know.
Yeah, Griffin thinks that he'd rather have a zombie apocalypse.
Yeah.
Would I rather?
I would definitely.
Would you not rather have a zombie apocalypse?
If the world were to end, wouldn't the zombie apocalypse be the best one?
Yeah, it's probably better.
Like, think about how fun that would be.
Like, that would be the coolest one.
Let us know in the comments.
Would you rather have a zombie apocalypse or this?
For me, I also feel like it's never going to get better.
You know what I mean?
Like, we have to get the flu shot because of the influenza, you know?
Yeah.
Like, when we grow up, our kids will have to get the corona shot.
We'll be like, come on, kid, let's go get it.
Maybe, yeah.
Apparently we have a situation in the bathroom.
Yeah, I know, I'm gonna film it.
Wow.
Oh my God.
Welcome to... Everyone at its finest right here.
Wow.
Yep, that's what's going on.
This is what happens when we're in a pandemic.
Yeah.
We're here with Liv Rossman.
What are your thoughts and feelings on the coronavirus?
Are you scared, nervous, excited?
You know, I'm worried for the health of the public.
Of course.
But I'm excited for a little, like, break, you know what I mean?
Am I scared?
Yeah.
Like, yeah.
You're scared?
Yeah.
I'm not scared of like getting it, but I'm scared of getting it to someone who can't like fight it off.
Understand that.
Thoughts from a teacher's perspective on the coronavirus.
It's pretty weird what we're going through right now.
Are you nervous scared excited confused confused, very confused, not too nervous.
I think these measures were taken right now.
Pretty good stuff, thank you, have a nice one.
I can't wait to be famous, max.
Maybe it'll get me out of this room right here.
Josh, how are you feeling?
How are you feeling about the coronavirus?
I'm kind of upset about it, actually.
Why?
I think we can persevere and do a better job at fighting it.
Are you scared?
I'm scared.
You're scared?
Yeah.
You're scared about what, Josh?
I'm scared.
I'm scared.
Okay.
Alright.
Thank you, Josh.
On my thoughts?
Yeah, what are your thoughts about all this?
Are you scared?
Not really.
I think it's getting kind of overblown.
But I'm used to online classes, so I'm ready to do nothing for three weeks.
Thank you, Luke.
Hey.
Hey.
See ya.
This is Cara.
What are your thoughts and feelings on the coronavirus?
Scared, nervous, excited?
I mean, I could die because, like, immunosuppressants, so that's fine.
Yeah.
So you're nervous?
A little bit, but it's okay.
It's the love of my life.
What are your thoughts on coronavirus?
I don't want to go to school, so I think this is great.
Yeah.
Thanks, Matt.
All right, thank you.
Bye.
What are your thoughts on all this?
On the coronavirus?
Yeah, are you scared, nervous, excited?
Well, I don't know, because I have asthma and I don't know how badly that'll affect me, but overall I'm chilling with the no school and whatnot.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, it's gotta be elbow.
Oh, elbows, bows.
Boom.
Especially all you international fans, y'all stay safe.
Wash yo hands.
Wash yo hands.
Hey, this is mine.
Hey, mine's not allowed to tell people to stay safe.
Yeah, hopefully I don't get it.
But if I do, I'm just gonna eat some chicken noodle soup and watch some Netflix.
Thank you, Noah.
Appreciate it.
Now we have fifth period.
We're currently watching a video on coronavirus.
Got some work.
I'm a little bit sad we won't be able to spend as much time together, but we're all just going to remember this.
This is going to be a big event in everyone's lives, so I'm excited.
We'll miss you too.
Jess, how are you feeling?
Hi!
Last period of the day.
How are you feeling about Coronavirus?
I'm a little bit unsettled by the whole thing.
I just don't know how it's all gonna go down.
But I'm I'm I guess kind of looking forward to not having school but also I'm gonna miss it.
I'm gonna miss like the schedule.
Fair enough.
Was today a weird day to be at school?
I'd say it was a weird day to be at school.
Do you think the general feeling is scared or nervous or excited?
Yes, I think that people are generally nervous for not having such structure, but I think that people should change their view and view it as an opportunity to figure out something that they enjoy outside of school.
I agree with that.
Once the general shock wears off, then you're able to realize that it's just going to be a moment in time and hopefully we'll be able to build off what we learned during this time period and make society better.
Do you think society is going to collapse?
I hope not.
I don't think so.
All right.
Thank you for doing it for me.
No way are you filming a video?
Yeah, how are you feeling about this whole corona outbreak?
I'm actually really excited about it because i've been needing to catch up on some school work and this is this is going to be perfect.
Yeah, i can get good at running too.
How was today's school?
Was it scary?
How was the energy?
It was pretty chill because there was a lot of presentations that they had to give the same presentation over and over again so I could get a personal record in Flappy Bird.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, it was great.
I got 421.
You can beat that.
I don't think you can.
I don't think I can either.
You can try.
I don't think I'll even try.
Yeah.
All right.
Thank you so much.
Have a great break.
It's been a pleasure.
What are your thoughts on the whole Corona thing?
Are you scared about it?
Are you nervous?
Are you excited?
And how was today at school?
Oh.
Was it weird?
It was weird because we did nothing, but I wasn't that scared.
I don't think it's... People are overreacting about it.
Hmm.
Um, it's like I'm not scared for myself, but I'm scared for, like my, like family yeah, my family.
That's like older, yeah.
And like for all the people who like can't, who don't have good immune systems.
Or like one condition yeah money, yes.
Or like people were losing their jobs because the stock market, like that's kind of the scary part.
Like the economic yeah, stuff is like worse than the actual.
Italy is over.
You think society is gonna collapse?
No, I don't think so.
Like, I think he'll be okay in like a few months.
In a few months?
In a few months.
Do you think we're going to be back in school on April 6th?
No.
No, I think probably not.
Really?
And I hope not because I'm going on vacation.
If they let me.
Thank you guys.
Okay, bye.
Alright, bye.
