Hello and hi to all you Pinkamazing friends out there.
I'm Pinkalicious, and this is my little brother Peter, also known as Peterrific, which rhymes with terrific.
Welcome to our podcast, where we play our favorite songs and do Pinkatastic things together.
Like bouncing really high.
Because today, we're finding out how Pinkatastic it is to try something new.
Come sing, dance, bounce, and play along with us if you can, okay?
In the car, at home, in your yard, or wherever you are.
Peter, what are you doing in the kitchen?
I'm looking for my lucky penny.
I can't find it anywhere.
And I'm going to need lots of luck to do my big bounce at the Pinkville talent show.
Your lucky penny, huh?
Right.
A lucky penny is special.
And special things can make you feel super brave when you try something new.
Listening friends, I used to have a pink rock that I always carried in my pocket for good luck.
Do you have anything special that makes you feel lucky?
A lucky marble?
Lucky socks?
Lucky hair ribbon?
Wow, there are all kinds of things to help you feel brave.
It's not here.
Maybe it's in my bedroom.
Peter, wait for me.
Let's see.
My lucky penny has to be here somewhere.
Not in my dresser drawers.
Not under Rosie.
Oh, maybe it's in my toy box.
No.
Oh, maybe I dropped it behind my mega block towel.
Careful!
Don't bump the blocks.
That was not lucky.
Now I'll never be able to make the jump without my lucky penny.
Everyone at the talent show is going to be so amazed when I, Bouncerific Peterific, bounced over my super-sized sand castle.
That does sound pinkamazing.
But how are you going to bounce that high?
With some good luck and... Ta-da!
Mommy's awesome invention!
Bouncy boots!
I just put them on... And bounce, bounce, bounce!
The problem is... I've never bounced over anything that high before.
Maybe a big wind will pick me up just in time. and blow me over the sand castle.
Oh, who am I kidding?
That won't happen.
I need my lucky penny or I just won't make it.
Peter, you don't need luck to bounce over your supersized sand castle.
You just need to keep trying.
You really think so?
Sure I do.
If you keep trying, you can get good at almost anything.
You can do it, Peter.
Listening friends.
Is there something you didn't think you could do, but you tried and tried and tried again until you could finally do it?
Wow, that's great, listening friends.
See, Peter, you don't need a lucky penny.
There's something else you can do.
Like what?
When things go right and life is fine, It feels like the sun will always shine.
But when things go wrong, Don't be blue.
There might be something you can do.
Make your own luck.
Try and you'll see just how lucky you can be.
Why wait for luck to come your way?
You can make things better today.
I'll do it, Pinkalicious.
I'll try again and again and see how high I can jump, even without my lucky penny.
Pinkatastic!
Try bouncing over something soft first, like these pillows.
Presto!
A pillow pile!
Come on, Boots.
Let's bounce!
Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce!
Oh boy, it didn't work well.
At least it was a soft landing.
Let's try something smaller, like your alarm clock.
Okay, here goes bounce bounce bounce, bounce.
That was an easy one.
Yes, now how about something a little bigger, like your toy drum?
Oh yeah Bounce bounce, bounce.
Bongo Bounce.
I did it!
Bouncerific Peterific is the bounce master.
Then I think you're ready for the really big bounce!
All we have to do is make a pile as big as your super-sized sand castle and keep trying until you make it over.
I know.
We can pile up all my toys and blocks and books.
Put this here.
Oh yeah, got it.
Listening friends, what else do you think I should add to our pile?
My teddy bear Fred?
A cardboard box?
Great ideas!
And my kazoo will go right on the tippy top.
Pinkle perfect!
Now let's try that really big bounce, Bouncerific Peterific.
Bouncing higher and higher.
And here I go!
Ah!
Peter, are you OK?
I'm OK.
But I don't know, Pinkalicious.
I just don't feel like I can do this.
Guess I'm not very good at making my own luck.
Sounds like you need a little Lottie Dumpty Day.
Lottie whatty what?
Lottie Dumpty Day.
It will make you feel better.
And when you feel better, you do better.
Lottie Dumpty Day.
You got it.
Sing it with us, everybody.
When you're scared and things go wrong, it's Like to sing a happy song.
Just a little tune la-di-dum-di-day will make you feel better right away.
La-di-dum, la-di-day, la-di-dum-di-do-da-day, la-di-dum, la-di-day, la-di-dum-di-do-da-day.
La de dum de doodle dum de doo da day!
How do you feel, Peter?
I'm feeling a little... La de dum de doo da day!
Maybe I really can do this without my Lucky Penny.
Let's rebuild the pile and try again.
Okay.
Oh, don't forget that one.
Grab that.
Oh, yeah.
And now, introducing Bouncerific Peterific and his big bounce.
I've got this.
Here I go.
I was so close.
It's okay.
This is why we keep trying.
And you definitely bounced higher that time.
I did?
Then I better try it some more.
The pile is high and my feet feel bouncy.
Did I do it?
I did it!
Pink, Pink, hooray!
Congratulations!
Thanks, Pinkalicious!
I never would have kept at it and felt brave enough to try if you didn't help me!
