Hi Bedtime History fans.
Breck here. I'm thrilled to share something new I've been working on, an exciting addition to the Bedtime History family.
It's called Bedtime Safari.
In each episode, we'll journey to a different corner of the world.
We'll learn about the ecosystems, animals, cultures, and the fascinating history that makes each place unique.
In the first episode, we'll start in the Serengeti of Africa, where we'll explore the vast grasslands and meet its amazing wildlife.
Then it's off to the misty cloud forests of Costa Rica and beyond.
From the snowy peaks of Switzerland to the depths of the Amazon rainforest. We'll even travel through time to discover ancient places of the past. Don't worry about Bedtime History.
We'll keep releasing weekly, but if you enjoy Bedtime History, I think you're going to love Bedtime Safari.

I hope you enjoy it.
Welcome to Bedtime Safari.
Imagine you're soaring high above the clouds, the wind rushing past your ears, and the mountains rising all around you.
You're paragliding over the Lauterbrunnen Valley, one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland.
Below the green valley stretches out like a painting, with steep cliffs, tiny villages, and sparkling waterfalls falling from the sky.
You feel like a bird, floating through the air with the snow -dusted Alps in the distance.
The air smells fresh and clean and the sun shines bright on the peaks.
As you glide gently downward, you spot a ribbon of whitewater tumbling down the cliffs.
That's Staubach Falls, one of the highest free -falling waterfalls in all of Europe.
It pours down over 900 feet, drifting like mist in the air before reaching the ground.
The name Staubbach means dust stream and it fits.
The falling water looks like it's turning into dust and light.
In the early morning, rainbows often form in the mist, dancing in the sunlight.
Your parachute begins to lower you slowly into the valley.
Green meadows stretch out below, dotted with wooden houses, grazing cows, and wild flowers.
You hear the soft clanging of cowbells, a peaceful sound that echoes across the hills.
The Lauterbrunnen Valley is tucked between tall cliffs and snowy mountains.
The name Lauterbrunnen means many fountains, and it's true.
There are 72 waterfalls in the valley, each one different, each one beautiful.
You land softly in the grass near a small village.
The air is cool and crisp, and everything smells like pine trees and flowers.
From here, you take a gentle walk along a clear river.
The water flows fast and cold, coming straight from melting glaciers high in the mountains.
Along the banks, you see butterflies fluttering from flower to flower, and if you're lucky, you might spot a shy marmot peeking from a hole.
Marmots look a bit like big furry squirrels and live in burrows near the cliffs.
You decide to visit one of the nearby villages tucked high in the mountains, so you take a gondola, a glass -walled cable car that floats up over the valley.
As you rise, you look down and see the green meadows far below, with waterfall slicing down the cliffs like silver threads.
Above you the snowy tops of the Eiger, Munch and Jungfrau Mountains shine in the sunlight.
These mountains are part of the Bernese Alps and are famous all over the world for their dramatic beauty.
Inside the gondola everything is quiet except for the hum of the cable.
You watch birds soaring below you and see hikers making their way along tiny trails that snake through the meadows.
In spring and summer, these hills are covered with edelweiss, gentians, and alpine roses.
Tiny wildflowers that grow in places few other plants can survive.
At the top, you step out into the mountain village of Murren, a car -free town where people travel by foot, bike, or ski.
The air is thinner here but even fresher, and the views are wide and endless.
You walk along a quiet trail, hearing only the soft buzz of bees and the distant rush of a waterfall.
In the distance, you spot a chamois, a mountain goat with small, curved horns.
It moves carefully across the steep rocks, perfectly balanced and quiet as a shadow.
You stop for a warm lunch of rosti, a crispy Swiss potato dish while sitting on a wooden balcony overlooking the valley.
The mountains tower above you and the waterfalls shimmer far below.
Every bite tastes better in the fresh air.
After lunch you hear a soft rumble, and it's not thunder.
It's a glacier cracking in the distance, sending a small slide of snow and ice tumbling down a hidden slope.
Now it's time for something exciting!
You hike a short trail and arrive at a mountain coaster, a track that winds through the trees and down the hills.
You climb into a little car, buckle up, and start rolling downhill.
The wind rushes past your face and you laugh as the coaster zips around curves, through wildflower fields, and under wooden bridges.
It's fast, but not scary.
Just the right mix of thrill and beauty.
At the bottom of the ride, you take a break, and sit in the grass.
A few goats wander by, nibbling at the flowers, and a red kite, a kind of bird of prey, circles high above.
You lean back and look at the sky, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, and listening to the soothing sound of a nearby stream.
The day is still young, so you decide to visit Tremelbach Falls, a series of waterfalls hidden inside the cliffs.
You walk along a trail and take a small elevator into the mountain.
Inside it's cool and dark.
The waterfalls roar through tunnels and caves, crashing over rocks with a sound that makes the ground vibrate.
Trimmelbach carries melt water from the big mountains above, and every second, thousands of gallons of water rush through the rocks.
It's loud, powerful, and amazing to see water carving its way through solid stone.
After the thundering falls, you walk back into the sunlight.
The golden glow of late afternoon covers the valley.
You stroll along a quiet path beside a meadow, where bees buzz and the smell of hay fills the air.
You pass a wooden barn and wave to a farmer stacking hay with a pitchfork.
The people here live close to the land, following the seasons and caring for the animals and fields the same way their families have for generations.
As you head back toward the village, the sky begins to change.
The sun drops behind the cliffs and the tops of the mountains catch the last light.
Everything turns soft and golden.
You sit on a bench and listen to the waterfalls one last time.
Some fall with a steady stream.
Others splash in short bursts.
Each one has its own voice and together they fill the valley with music.
The Lauterbrunnen Valley is not like any other place.
It's a world where nature is strong, but peaceful, where mountains touch the sky, and water is always moving.
Every trail leads to something beautiful, whether it's a cliff, a meadow, a flower, or a shy animal hiding in the grass.
You came flying in the sky like a bird, slid down a mountain like the wind, and walked through forests full of hidden sounds.
Now, as the stars begin to blink in the sky, you feel full of wonder and calm.
We hope you enjoyed exploring the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
Be sure to tune in next week for a new adventure!
