One, two.
One, two.
You've got the blues.
You've got the blues.
I got a new lens.
This is a Tamron 20mm 2.8, and I have been looking for a tiny but wider lens.
I love the lens that I have right now a 24-70mm but sometimes it's just way too big to take around casually, so let's try it out.
So, oh, I have a couple of things that I need to get done today.
I was actually planning to film for a future video and, in efforts to document my life better, I thought that it would be a great idea to vlog.
I have never vlogged before, by the way, disclaimer.
I've always wanted to try to vlog, but I think that I've always had this little like imposter syndrome, like who would even watch that?
But I think it's good to try new things and you'll never know until you try.
Stay positive.
This is literally turning into a pep talk for me.
What I'm trying to say is welcome to my first vlog.
I'm going to go meet up with aria now.
She is one of my very best friends and i somehow convinced her to film a video with me.
And okay, i'm running a little late.
Today i have not only my skate bag, which i packed in the trunk, but i also have my brevity bag, which i'm using for pretty much the first time.
So far, i really like it, but anyways, so now we are going to, so we're gonna go meet her.
This is our third attempt trying to film this certain scene and hopefully it all works out.
Something that has caught my attention over the last few years is this notion of romanticizing your life, going through life as the main character and documenting it.
Even if you're doing something really mundane or if you're not really doing something super exciting, I don't think that really matters at the end of the day.
I think it's like the little things in between that we should be trying to remember as well.
There's this quote that says, all of life is processes.
Goals are just moments, but all of life is process.
And I think it's the same with capturing big memories versus like, even the mundane moments of your day.
I don't know, I think it can be fun.
I think it could be something worthy to look back on.
So that is what I'm planning to do.
I'm gonna vlog every week for, The next year, because I think a year is a good enough goal to do it.
All right.
Well, we tried.
We really tried.
We really did.
On our third attempt.
And skating rinks still closed.
Actually, apparently they have been closed.
And apparently we didn't know.
Apparently we didn't know.
We are 0 for 3.
See ya.
Well, that didn't work.
You know what?
Sometimes things won't turn out the way that you think that they will.
But I'm sure that things have a way of coming back together at the end.
Somehow.
All this to say is that I think you just need to be the main character of your own life.
It's your narrative.
It's your lens that you see the world through.
And I think it would be interesting to have that as a challenge for the next year.
Anyways, hopefully next week will turn out better and go more according to plan, but thanks for watching.
And as for the lens, I think I'm gonna keep it.
Despite me having a love-hate relationship with the autofocus, it's not that bad.
I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not that bad.
