Hello.
It's me, Carly Q, from Who, When, Wow Mystery Edition.
And I want to share some special mysteries with you that came from you.
You all have been fantastic with your Apple podcast and Spotify comments and it's literally blowing my mind.
Yeah, even Nibbles is impressed.
Hazelnut1073 wonders if maybe Lewis is actually Lewis Latimer, the famous inventor.
They both have the same middle name, so I don't know.
WWE fan 1364 has a theory that Odie is actually Carly from the future.
I mean, she does control a time machine, right?
They also pointed out that the announcer from Butthead sounds a lot like Mindy from Wow in the World.
7856 wonders if Lewis and Carly are actually related.
Uh, no comment on that one.
And just about everybody wants more new.
Who When Wows, including mini-episodes like KenzieGirl04 suggested?
Well, I have a bit of good news for you.
I've learned a lot on my time traveling adventures over the years.
Like what to pack when you're traveling to Victorian England, or the must try foods when you're visiting the Viking Age.
Spoiler alert.
The food is pretty good, but they don't have pie yet, which is a bummer.
I can't wait to share my time travel tips and tricks with you all.
You can listen to my new bite-sized episodes right here in the Who When Wow podcast feed starting next week.
Looks like lunch break is over.
Now let's get on with the show.

Wayfair.
Every style, every home.
Night, night.
Go.
I need to hear it.
You gots are weird.
I like it.
Hey there, listeners.
Bad news.
Phineas Jr., the office ficus plant, is leaving us.
HQ thinks his skills would be better put to use in our office on the other side of town, the Central Hypercritical Evaluation and Education Clinic, otherwise known as CHEAT.
This place ain't gonna be the same without him, but the show must go on.
This week, we're heading somewhere cold, but you'll never guess who we run into there.
Okay, I'll give you a hint.
They are also time travelers and podcasters, and their names rhyme with windy and by gauze, and their podcast is called Wow in the World.
Okay, that's probably too many hints.
I think you probably know who I'm talking about now.
Crossover alert!
I'm Carly Q, and this is Who, When, Wow Mystery Edition.
Our past is vast and wild.
Many things have brought us to this day.
As history has been compiled, Some important details have slipped away In our spectacular shared existence.
We consider it our business To recognize a few folks you may not know.
Never be the same.
There were mixed emotions when I entered the office that morning.
A lot of us were sad.
But Lewis, he seemed a little on edge.
I got stuck in traffic.
And where's that pie you said you were going to bring in for Phineas' going away party?
I ate it.
What?
I am an emotional eater.
And this morning, I had a lot of emotions.
So what are we going to do now?
Don't you worry your pretty little head about it.
I always keep an emergency pie behind glass under my desk.
Of course you do.
I will go grab it now.
Don't be late.
We're starting the party right after lunch.
Got it.
As I made my way down to my office, I tried to remember how long ago I had stored my emergency pie.
It's still good. literally a new time sealed event shot out of the delivery tube and hit me square in the nose literally let's see what you're about event the yeti eric shipton himalayas 1951 yeti like the water bottle okay let's see After consulting with H-Dad, I learned that the Yeti was a mythical ape-like creature that lived in the snowy Himalayan mountains.
Perhaps a mystery was the perfect thing to distract me from the fact that my best plant friend was being transferred to another office.
So with that, I went back to looking for my emergency pie and waited for lunch.
Lunchtime rolled around and I was helping Odie sort through the time elevators lost and found, looking for some warm clothes.
My thoughts bounced back and forth between Yeti, Phineas Jr., and pie.
I'm sure you'll miss Phineas, but I know you will make new friends, too.
Remember, when one door closes, another opens.
Yeah, yeah, I think I get what you're saying.
Oh, pass me that toga.
Oh, no, that won't work.
Carly!
Where's the pie?
The break room's all set up for the going away party.
Louis, you can't just come charging down here demanding pie.
Don't worry.
The pie is safely behind the glass, ready to go.
But first, I have to make a super quick teeny tiny little trip to the Himalayas.
What?
Why do you think we're going through all this lost and found?
We gotta find something warm.
The elevator has a lost and found?
Yeah, check it out. suit of armor, a puffy pirate shirt, bucket hat.
And why are you going to the Himalayas?
Huh, feels like I added an extra law.
You did.
To find the Yeti.
You know, the big, hairy snow ape that lives in the mountains.
Right.
What about this?
Is that a coat from the Revolutionary War?
Even better.
It's two coats from the Revolutionary War.
What do you say, Louis?
Quick trip out to Central Asia before Phineas' big going-away party?
You do remember that the elevator changes our clothes.
I tried to tell her.
You are avoiding my question.
Okay, fine.
But only to make sure you get back on time.
Yes, of course.
Here, catch.
Why are we wearing this?
Why not?
Okay, you two, remember the rules.
Don't change the past and be back by the end of lunchtime.
We know.
Also, don't eat the yellow snow.
If there is a Yeti, he won't be potty trained.
Now those are words of wisdom.
The world of Sonic the Hedgehog has been thrust into a not-so-dark, not-so-stormy, hard-boiled detective story that probably nobody saw coming.
Follow Sonic and the intrepid Chaotix Detective Agency as they take on their biggest case yet.
This high-flying, action-packed adventure will take them across the world, fighting for every clue they can find.
It's one heck of a tale.
Which is good, because this story might be the only thing that can save their lives.
Well, if that's all, I can just dispose of you.
Wait, what?
All will be revealed in Sonic the Hedgehog Presents The Chaotix Case Files.
Listen now, wherever you get your podcasts.
The Chaotix are on the case.
Hey, grownups.
It's Mindy.
And Guy Raz.
And we have an important message to share with you.
For nine years Tinkercast shows have been free for every family teacher, curious kid and grownup who listens.
And we've kept it going through partnerships sponsors, distributors and honestly, a whole lot of scrappy ingenuity.
But the truth is the media industry has changed a lot and it's becoming a lot harder to financially sustain a show without additional help.
And that's because every episode you hear is handcrafted by an entire team of real humans.
So for the first time ever, we are asking our listeners, you, to support the show.
If your family values what we create.
If you've laughed or learned something new, or if the show has inspired curiosity in your home, we're asking you to consider making a contribution.
Your support goes directly to paying our team and keeps Tinkercast shows free for everyone who needs it.
So grownups, if you have the means to help support our show, just visit Tinkercastcom slash support to see the thank you packages that we've put together for your support.
Once again, you can visit Tinkercast.com slash support and we'll put all this information in the podcast show notes.
Thanks for helping to power the wow at Tinkercast.
And now let's get on with the show.
I can't see a thing!
Yeah, this snowstorm is pretty bad.
How are we going to find anything in this weather?
I don't know.
Maybe someone will find us?
In the middle of the Himalayan mountains?
Too many laws!
Hello there.
Yeti?
No, my name is Reginald Bailey.
I've been sent to collect you.
You've been sent to collect us?
Indeed.
You are the two research assistants from Kathmandu, are you not?
Of course.
Who else would we be?
Excellent.
Mr. Shipton is waiting for you in camp.
It's right this way.
Follow me.
Lewis, tents!
Looks like we're actually quite close after all.
Mr. Shipton is right through here in the mess tent.
Excuse me, sir.
Yes, Reggie.
What is it?
Those two researchers from Kathmandu have arrived.
Ah, excellent.
Names?
Carly Q. Lewis.
Pleasure to meet you both.
I suppose you're here about the photo.
The photo?
Of the Yeti footprint.
Yeti footprint?
Precisely.
Whoa!
What is that?
That, Mr. Lewis, is a sizable footprint in the snow, no less than 20,000 feet above sea level.
Or should you say snow level, huh?
Okay, tough crowd.
Who in their right mind would go out in the snow barefoot?
Ah, not you.
Or what?
You don't think it could be.
For centuries, the natives have spoken of a ten-foot-tall beast covered in fur, with the dimensions and gait of a giant man.
And you think this creature left its footprint in the snow?
That is the million-pound question and the reason you and your colleague have been brought out here to investigate this yeti footprint.
Booyah, baby.
But before we can set out, there is some business that needs to be attended to.
Business?
Your outfits.
I fear for your extremities and their future as an affixed part of your body.
Uh, what?
He said we're going to lose our toes and fingers if we go out in the snow like this again.
But...
The elevator.
Needs a tune-up.
I'll be.
Fear not.
Reggie will get you sorted out with some proper gear.
Reggie?
Yes, sir?
Take these two over to the equipment tent and get them outfitted for the expedition.
Very good.
Right away, sir.
Oh, isn't this exciting?
Lewis, a real-life Yeti hunt?
What's exciting is the idea of getting into some warmer clothing.
Ooh!
Oof, Carly.
Oof, I do love an equipment tent.
Toasty.
All right, let's see.
We have hiking pants here.
We have thermal jackets here.
And here, the boots and headwear are stored in... You two wait right here.
I'll be right back.
Ooh, look at me.
This jacket is so fluffy.
Carly?
Huh?
Huh?
Those must be the real researchers.
Our cover is blown!
Lewis, don't get your scrunchies in a bundle.
It could be anyone out there.
At 20,000 feet?
Yeah, people love going for hikes these days.
Those days.
Any days, really.
What was that?
Uh, the wind?
That was definitely not the wind!
The Yeti!
This I gotta see!
No, me first!
Please stop pushing!
I gotta get out of the tent!
Ow!
Hello?
Oh, hi.
Carly Q. Nice to meet you.
Uh, hi there, Carly.
I'm Mindy.
And I'm Guy Raz.
Ooh, nice revolutionary war costumes.
Seems like an unusual choice for the Himalayas in 1951.
Says the man in the space suit.
Uh-huh, fair enough.
Wait, are you two traveling through time too?
We are.
Huh?
Carly Q, we're really not meant to talk about that.
They're wearing spacesuits, Lewis.
I think we can trust them.
This is so exciting.
For as big as the time-space continuum is, you hardly ever see people traveling across it.
What is that thing?
Why is it growling?
We're over there in the snow!
Is that the Yeti?
Did we find it?
Big?
Hairy?
Covered in white fur?
Sure looks like a Yeti to me!
That thing must be ten feet tall!
And it's getting on all fours and heading straight for us!
I have the wow machine parked right around the corner!
You have a wow machine?
That's incredible!
A wow machine?
What is a wow machine?
You're gonna love it!
Mindy, quick!
Open the hatch!
Opening!
Opening!
Opening!
Mindy, quick!
There!
Got it!
Hurry!
Everyone inside!
Ah!
Very quiet.
What?
I can't hear you.
You've got to talk louder.
Mandy, shh.
Mandy, what was that thing?
Ross, I told you.
It was a Yeti.
What was that?
Oh, that's just my H-Dad.
Sorry, I thought I put this thing on silent.
No information found on local wildlife, animal allergy, running...
Local wildlife?
Maybe it can tell us what just chased us out of that camp?
Well, we already know what that was, Lewis.
It was a yeti.
Just ask H-Dad.
Ugh, fine.
H-Dad, what creature almost ate me and my new friends?
Analyzing.
Hourglass emoji.
Hourglass emoji.
Hourglass emoji.
Another hourglass emoji.
Uh, how long does this usually take?
You know, it varies from episode to episode.
Episode?
Hourglass emoji.
Analysis complete.
The creature located 400 feet north of the current location is identified.
As I can't handle this tension,
A Himalayan black...
Himalayan black bear?
Oh, mumble crust.
I could have sworn it was a yeti.
Additional study relating to yetis found in 2017 from the University of Buffalo.
Okay, Roz, that's the same study we heard about on the news.
Yeah.
In 2017, scientists analyzed nine samples of yeti hair, yeti teeth and yeti bones and concluded that eight of the nine samples contained bear DNA, bear emoji, helix.
But what about the last sample?
Yeah, maybe it was the Yeti DNA.
H-Dad, was the final DNA sample from a Yeti?
The final sample contained... Canine DNA.
Dog emoji.
Helix emoji.
Laughing, crying emoji.
So, no Yeti?
Afraid not.
Alarm sound.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Still not on silent.
Lunch break is over.
Return to the time elevator immediately.
Alarm clock emoji.
Well, sounds like it's time for us to go.
Oh, really?
But we just met you.
Yeah, we have this very important rule that says we have to be back at HQ by the end of lunch.
Wait, you guys are on your lunch break?
Can we at least give you a ride back?
I mean, this old gal's still got some gas in the tank.
Ignore that.
Super nice of you, but we actually have this time elevator thing that we use.
Ooh, an elevator.
Who do they have playing?
Uh, what?
He's obsessed with elevator music.
Oh, I don't know about the elevator music, but we do have an elevator operator, Odie.
You would love her.
She's been around forever, like maybe legit forever.
We should ask her to sing for us.
Lewis, do you think Odie sings?
I don't know, Carly Q. All I know is that we're almost out of time.
We need to go.
Fine.
Sorry, friends.
We gotta go, but it was a nice meeting you.
Uh, how do I... Oh, hang on.
I'll help you here.
There's a special trick to it.
Uh, stand back.
Oh, no.
There you go.
Um, thanks?
Safe travels!
Bye, Mindy!
Bye, Guy Ross!
Bye, Carly!
Well, they seem nice.
We should check out their podcast.
Sounds good, but we have to get out of here before we have another bear encounter.
Or worse, a write-up from management!
Oh, no, not a write-up!
It's all fun and games until you get a demerit!
Welcome back, you two.
Thanks, Odie.
So, did you get to the bottom of that Yeti mystery?
Yeah, turns out it was just a bear.
A bear?
A Himalayan bear?
That doesn't sound good.
It wasn't.
But that's not the big news.
What's the big news?
We made two brand new friends, and they're podcasters.
Aspiring.
What did I say?
When one door closes, another one opens.
You may be losing Phineas, but look, you've made new friends already.
Speaking of which, I need to make my way up to the break room to make sure that everything is in order.
Copy that, and I shall retrieve the emergency pie.
See you there in five.
And even though we are sad to see it go, I know we all wish Phineas the best.
And now to say a few words, Carleen.
So I ended up learning a little more than just the identity of the Yeti this week.
I learned a few things about friendship too.
I learned that if you leave your heart open, friendship can find you anywhere.
Even three quarters of a century ago in the Himalayan mountain range.
I'm still gonna miss Phineas Jr.
But I'm also looking forward to more adventures with Mindy and Guy Raz on future episodes of Who When, Wow?
Mystery Edition.
Until then, I'm Carly Q. And remember, you never heard this.
To Phineas Jr., the best of all of us.
But I am going to listen to Wow in the World.
Sounds good.
H-DAD initiating end credits mode.
