And so we want to thank our listeners who went ahead and left us a review.
I want to call out some names today for our very special listeners.
You guys have been amazing with your reviews, and we appreciate you so, so much.

Anyone else?
Oh my gosh, so...
You guys, this is amazing.
It's amazing.
All right.
I'm going to take over.
I'm going to help read some of these amazing listener names.
So we have MIB261, Lady Hamilton, a Chinese name that I'm not sure what it says.
I should really learn how to read Chinese.
Pretty sure I know Prisca.
Yeah, we know Prisca.
I love these names, you guys.
Yeah.
Pretty sure that's a Portuguese name.
Oh, good Portuguese.
Sucasa.
Why?
Oh, this is an interesting one.
There's a whole bunch of like umlauts and cool characters.
Okay.
Wow. dillyjimspeekoo5648, Yefrius, and there's no name there, and erico.k.
And then Nunca Mais Ira Atualizar.
Oh, I hope I said that right.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you, listeners, so much.
And you know what?
If we didn't read your name today, come leave a review and we can read it on the next episode.
Exactly.
We're getting into the habit of reading your names, guys.
We know it takes a little bit of time, but we want to recognize you and call you out.
I think that's one of the coolest things about All Ears English is that we have such a strong community of listeners and we're all in this together for connection, not perfection.
So guys, go over, leave your review, and we'll read your name on the show.
All right.
All right.
This is incredible, guys.
Just to remind you, remember our goal was 350 reviews, right?
Reviews and ratings by Friday, January 26th.
Yes.
That's amazing.
That's in four days.
So we're like, we are almost there.
I mean, this is incredible.
We're almost there.
So guys, if you haven't left a review, it only takes a couple seconds.
Go and leave a review.
First, of course, get the app.
Go to allearsenglish.com forward slash bonuses.
Get that app for your Apple phone.
We will have Android soon guys, now that we see how much you want to connect with us, because we want to connect with more of you.
So get the app.
Please leave a review and a rating.
Yes, I love it.
I love it.
Guys, we want to see those reviews.
And let's talk about our big goal for the week.
The big one, Jessica.
We talked about this on Tuesday.
But to remind our listeners, what is our big share goal for this week, Jessica?
Okay, guys.
So remember what big shares are.
Big shares are when you share our app.
You just get a little cute little banner image.
Just get a little image from us.
Share it with your online community of a thousand people or more.
What communities do you belong to?
Is it like a gaming community, a student community, a travel thing?
You know, on Twitter Facebook, whatever platforms you use?
Our goal is to get a hundred of these big shares.
All right.
When do we want to have that by, Lindsay?
Exactly.
So we are striving to get those by February 1st.
So that is next Thursday.
So that is a good day, starting off February strong.
And when you guys go ahead and do a big share.
You can email me directly at lindsay at allearsenglishcom.
You'll get a big thank you email from me, a personalized email, okay?
I'm going to thank each one of you because this helps us so much, right?
If you guys love the app and you want awesome features coming up this spring and summer, then we need lots of listeners, right?
In order to build those features for you guys.
So you guys actually have more power than we do to get the word out.
I mean, this is really, so, I mean, everybody knows our motto is connection, not perfection, right?
We are really starting 2018 with this focus on the connection.
We want to connect with you guys, with our longtime fans, but also bring more people into the All Ears English community.
Right?
We are dynamic this year, man.
We are vibrant and happening.
So we want to bring more people into this and just help more people connect with each other.
So guys, remember, a thousand members or more in this community.
And make sure, though, make sure that this community is cool, guys.
Right?
We want people that understand the connection, not perfection motto.
Okay.
So yeah, as soon as you can do that, send Lindsay an email.
Exactly.
Only the cool people, right?
I mean, we don't want people who are going to not quite get the connection, not perfection.
It's a certain way of looking at language that that is our belief, right?
We believe that we can never let our concern about perfection get in the way of human connection, because that's actually the reason that we learn language.
It's not to be a grammarian.
It's not to be a linguist.
It's to be a person of connection, in connection, right?
Exactly.
Exactly.
We're not learning English to fill out worksheets, guys.
We are beyond that.
We are in the world.
We want to participate in the world and language is a tool for that.
English is your tool for that bigger dream, that bigger life, all those goals that you have, right?
So that's what we want to do.
So guys go to allearsenglishcom forward, slash bonuses and invite members of your amazing group, this big share, invite these members to try the app.
And I think you could make this more attractive, right?
If you include some of these cool, shiny, very yellow images.
Sure.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Pictures of us and pictures of the app.
So go to allearsenglishcom forward slash, share and right click on the image or images that we have provided and then include that in your post.
Exactly, exactly.
And one more time the link that you're going to send your people to and your big communities of 1000 or more guys is to send them straight to allearsenglishcom.
Forward slash bonuses.
I love that.
And we're so excited.
We're going to count up our big shares.
And we're going to announce them on the show too.
We're going to see what we can do.
Like how many people can we reach?
This is a huge challenge.
You guys.
I am so stoked to be interacting with our All Ears English community this year in so many ways.
And I feel like we have pushed forward and wanted to share so much of ourselves with you.
And this is sort of your chance to connect with us as well.
We want to have it both directions this year, really like increasing this participation.
So, I mean, so far we've seen amazing results from you guys.
Thank you so much.
Exactly.
I love it.
Yesterday, I got a phone call from one of our listeners here in Massachusetts.
And he just had a question about his transcripts.
But it was actually so cool to be on the phone with one of our listeners.
You know, he said that he had been listening to us since 2013.
Oh, my gosh.
And just when he said how much he loved the show, it just totally made my day.
Aw.
It was so cool.
It was just so cool.
It was so cool.
Oh, that's incredible.
We can't wait to meet more of you guys.
I love this.
So, guys, our big share goal, just one more time, 100 big shares by February 1st.
And we will announce these names on the show, as well as all of you lovely, lovely listeners that are leaving amazing reviews for us.
Yeah.
And maybe when you guys send me an email at lindsayatallersenglishcom after you've done your big share, you can tell us how many people are in that group, so we can actually make a tally of how many people have seen the link to Oh wow.
To have had a chance to see a link to the app.
That would be awesome.
That would be cool.
Oh, that's cool.
Man, the internet can track everything.
See, I'm just amazed just all the numbers sometimes.
There's just so much data.
So much data.
Yeah.
What did you do over the weekend, Jessica?
Did you film any cool bonus videos over the weekend?
I did.
I hired a cameraman.
His name is James and he's six years old.
James and I just brought our camera and microphone with us everywhere we went this weekend.
So there's some like errands that you guys are going to come along with us to do.
Like we had to go to Petco to get you know some like huge amounts of dog food from our enormous beast.
And James sort of figured out how to like, you know, get the angles right.
And now he wants to be a filmmaker.
So guys, you're going to learn...
You're gonna learn some cool vocab for like shopping.
And we also went to Target.
We had to get a birthday present.
And we came across some like interesting books, some adult coloring books.
Guys, this is a trend in the States.
So I talk about that in one of the apps.
It's really, really cool.
Why do you think those coloring books have caught on in the U.S.?
Jessica, what is it about those that adults love so much?
You know, it's a whole hipster vibe.
It really is like a hipster trend, too.
Like, all these bars have coloring book nights or, like, paint-by-number nights.
And adults, like, in their 20s and 30s and 40s, I think we just want other activities to do.
And it's combined with this nostalgia, right?
Right.
Like what how did we fill our time when we were younger?
Right.
Like what did I do when I was eight years old?
So it's just another way to sort of like meditate and relax.
Right?
It's supposed to be like meditative to sit and color.
So it's this whole thing, guys.
I talk about it in the bonus video.
And I show you one of the coloring books.
It's really funny.
Yeah.
That is so cool.
That's so cool.
Yeah, I think mindfulness is becoming such a core value for many people in the US, especially adults.
So we're, you know, and not everyone likes to sit down and meditate necessarily, right?
So people are trying to find ways that they can be mindful through other activities.
And I love that idea.
Yeah.
There's a lot of ways in.
I mean, I totally get that.
I feel like I have to force myself to sit and meditate and be quiet.
So I'm like these other people.
I get it.
I need another way in.
And so like coloring or drawing, that's sort of like a more active way.
Yeah.
To be mindful.
Yeah.
Yes, yes, yes.
And guys, we also had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.
And so I did an app video at Chuck E. Cheese.
And it's noisy and it's shiny and it's amazing.
So-
What is Chuck E. Cheese?
I think we've mentioned it on this show before, but just in case our listeners don't know what that is, what the heck is Chuck E Cheese.
Chuck E. Cheese is an amazing wonderland that has not changed since I was six years old.
Um, there's just lots of video games for the kids.
And then there's these huge um animatronic like animals on a stage that will sing and sort of move around.
Um, and I swear they've been there for like 30 years, but I mean, kids still love it.
So, um, I had a friend be my cameraman because James was playing games.
And I taught you some really high level words to describe noise.
Oh, that's cool.
That's cool.
Oh, the stuff you're going to learn in these videos, guys.
Again, these videos are exclusive.
They're only in the iOS app.
Guys, again, if you're an Android user, don't worry.
The app is coming for you.
But for now, these videos are available in the iOS app.
Guys, they're going to come down after just a few days when they go up too.
So that's why you want to keep checking back over to the app to get these awesome lessons.
You know, these are real life lessons.
They're partly inspired by.
Last summer I took a trip around the US and we realized how cool it was to take you guys out into the world with us.
Yeah, exactly.
Didn't we?
Yeah.
That real language.
I think it's such – I've had a couple conversations over the weekend about –
How target culture is so important in learning a target language.
And I think this is what brings that through.
You see us in our like natural environment.
You experience what it's like just to like –
Go run some errands with my son and I on a Saturday morning.
Like, where do we go?
What do we have to buy here?
You know, what are the words that we have to use?
You don't get that stuff in textbooks.
And I promise you, a textbook doesn't bring you to Chuck E. Cheese.
We're just bringing you along in our lives right now.
And it's amazing.
I love it.
That is so cool.
That's so cool.
I went out after work or towards the end of the day on Friday and filmed a little tiny video, just a minute and a half, about.
You know, we taught our listeners one way to say that we want to take a little break guys.
So you can go over to the app and you can find that that is still live.
And actually, by now it might be gone.
By the time this episode is up, that video should be gone.
But the next ones are coming soon, guys.
So keep checking back to the app every day for new ones.
Awesome.
So much fun.
So cool.
So cool.
So cool.
All right, guys.
So remember this week our big share girl a hundred big shares to communities online of more than a thousand users.
Share the link to our app.
The link is all there's english.com forward slash bonuses shared in your Facebook groups. your Snapchat, whatever it is, share it, guys.
And then email me, lindsayatallearsenglish.com.
Let me know that you've shared.
We'll say a big thank you to you on the show.
Awesome.
I love this goal.
This This is enormous.
This really encapsulates our vision for 2018 for our community, right?
Just having these enormous projects participating with our community.
We're using the preposition with.
We are on this journey with you guys.
Yeah.
That's huge.
Yeah.
That's what I feel like has happened.
You know, so far with this app, our listeners have helped us make it.
You know, you guys helped us choose keywords to list in the app store.
You helped us choose an icon way back in July.
We had a...
We had a poll.
We had a running poll to choose the best icon.
We were doing Skype meetings to decide the best features.
And you guys have made this with us.
Now let's reach for this next big goal.
It is a big goal, right?
We like to set huge goals for 100 shares.
But I think we can do it as a community.
Totally.
Totally.
Totally.
Guys, thank you so much for leaving reviews so far.
Keep doing it.
Keep showing us how much you are in this community.
So get the app and review if you haven't already.
Awesome. allearsenglish.com forward slash bonuses, guys.
All right, Jessica, we'll be back on very soon.
Okay.
Sounds good.
Have a good day, Lindsay.
Take care.
