It's a live one hour free event.
Grab your spot, play games with the hosts, and bring home the gold.
Hello, Aubrey, how are you today?
I'm great, Jessica. Welcome.
It's so exciting to have you here.
I'm excited to be here because it is a very special reason why I'm talking to you today and all of you listening, because we want to invite you to the All-Ears English Olympics.
Yes, this is the first for us and we are so excited.
We want to get to know you guys and play some really fun games with you.
So we're having a free live event that you are all invited to.
We cannot wait. It's, oh my gosh, okay.
So we are going to tell you what this is, how to sign up, and we're going to teach you a little bit of English as well along the way.
So let's get to it, Aubrey, what is going to happen in the All-Ears English Olympics?
Yes, we are going to play some very fun games, Olympic events, All-Ears English style, and you will be able to represent your country.
So you're going to bring home the gold for your country just like in the Olympics or the silver or the bronze, also worthy medals.
That's so great. This is going to be so fun.
So you will be competing with anyone else from your country who is able to join, who is a listener of All-Ears English, or a member of our courses.
These games will test your English, your pop culture, and All-Ears English knowledge, some knowledge about us, the host.
It's super fun. I've been making these really fun slides and prepping just can I have been preparing.
We're going to be there, the All-Ears English host, and it is going to be a good time, you guys.
It's going to be so fun. Okay, I have a question.
There are a number of different words for, like, schedule, right?
A list of things that we're going to do.
But they're very specific, like for a course, right?
It's a curriculum, right?
It's not a schedule. So what would you call this plan for the events for the Olympics?
Like, is it itinerary? I don't think itinerary, because that's just for travel, right?
Right, exactly. That's a really good question.
And we do hear these words mixed up a little bit.
So we're excited to clarify this for you guys.
We do use the word itinerary, more for a schedule of what you're going to do while you're traveling.
For something like this, we would say program.
You hear that a lot with the Olympics.
The program for today's events.
Or maybe the agenda for today's events.
And this is when you have something that is planned, scheduled.
And there's a list of events.
I use program most often.
What about you, Jessica?
I like both of them for this.
Agenda works because it's also like an online meeting, right?
So I'm meeting agenda makes sense.
Okay, so we are going to hold the Olympics on Zoom.
Space is limited, guys.
So I'm going to give you the sign up link right now.

What? Why did we decide to do this, Aubrey?
Yeah, not only because we want to get to know you guys more, but we have some things to celebrate here at all.
There's English. First of all, the Olympics.
We're all watching the Olympics.
It's amazing to come together.
We're all interested in the same thing around the world at once.
But also, all ears English is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
It started a decade ago.
And we want to do something big and exciting to celebrate these 10 years.
Exactly, exactly. And I love the phrase reason to celebrate.
My mom raised me with this idea that you can always find a reason to celebrate.
And I've really carried that through to my whole life.
And I hope you guys do too.
I mean, any day, you can find a reason to celebrate.
Maybe it's your half birthday.
Maybe it's like, I don't know.
It's a Tuesday, like whatever the reason is.
So we have a lot of reasons to celebrate with you guys.
Okay. So when is this exciting event going to happen?
Yes, it's going to be August 9th.
So coming up very soon at 10am New York time, 10am Eastern.
So Jessica and I are waking up early for this.
We want everyone to attend who is able.
And it's one hour long. It's a free event.
