Hey, Michelle, how you doing today?
Hey, Lindsay, I'm doing well.
I'm doing well.
How are you?
I am doing good.
And we are here on this spontaneous bonus episode to remind our listeners about two important actions that we want them to take by the end of today's episode.
And so, Michelle, today we're going to teach our listeners a very cool phrase.
And we're going to ask you guys to do two things.
We want you to right now go ahead and hit subscribe on your podcast app, whether that's iTunes Stitcher Overcast Podbean, whatever it is.
Hit subscribe because we want to make sure that you stay in the loop.
Michelle, what does it mean to stay in the loop?
Stay in the loop means to stay updated, to know what's happening and to be up to date.
Exactly.
Exactly.
And I've also heard people say, keep me in the loop.
I mean, what is that?
How is that different when I say keep me in the loop?
It's like you are asking someone else to update you.
Exactly.
If you're saying to be, sorry, in the loop then, it's more stay in the loop.
It's more in your control.
Keep me in the loop is more like someone else.
You're kind of relying on someone else.
Do you agree with that?
I agree with that.
You're asking someone else to update you.
But if you guys want to take action and make sure that you stay in the loop, you can go ahead and hit subscribe on your podcast player to make sure that you stay in the loop.
What is another way to say this, Michelle?
Any other ways that we say that?
Yeah, so you could say to be in the know.
Yeah.
I mean, do you think that that is common, though?
I mean, do we use that?
I don't think so.
I don't think so much in spoken English.
What do you think?
I don't think so.
I think it's just kind of more an expression that you guys might want to know.
But you might hear it in different places.
You might want to be aware of it.
But I think the best one is to stay in the loop.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That one I hear all the time.
All the time.
Exactly.
So again, what are the two actions that we want to remind our listeners to do today, Michelle?
What are those?
Okay.
So again, guys, we want you to hit subscribe on your app, right?
Yes.
So iTunes, Stitcher, Overcast, right?
Yeah, exactly.
And then the second one is guys, we want you to make sure you get on our email list, because when you do that you'll be even closer to us and we can be in contact a couple times a week.
So go to allearsenglish.com forward slash 100.
You'll get the 100 most common phrases in English and you'll get on that email list and you'll hear from Michelle actually.
Michelle, you've been writing the emails lately, right?
That's me.
That's so cool.
So you'll be able to hear from Michelle at least once a week, and even more guys, because we have some exciting things coming up this summer.
Okay, we're not going to say anything else about it.
But you you really want to be Yeah, some very cool stuff.
You know we're going to come up with some very cool ways for you guys to work towards connection with your English.
So trust me, you want to be in the loop.
The summer is going to be amazing and incredible and very intense, but awesome.
All right.
And Michelle, what will happen if people don't subscribe?
You might be out of the loop.
You got it.
Exactly.
So, guys, we're going to end this now, but this is a reminder.
Take two actions right now.
Go ahead and hit subscribe on your podcast player and then go over to allearsenglish.com forward slash 100.
Enter your email and you'll get on that list.
Plus, you'll get the 100 most common phrases in English.
Michelle, thanks for hanging out today.
It's been fun.
Thanks, Lindsay.
Have a good one.
All right.
Take care.
