Welcome to the Allie on the Run show.
I'm your host, Allie Feller.
And on most episodes, I talk with people who are doing exciting things on the run and beyond.
From professional athletes and celebrity runners to the everyday amateur and back of the pack runner.
We are here to celebrate everyone and anyone who enjoys a life on the run.
Whether you find yourself running towards something big or away from something that's been holding you back, my job here is to hold your hand and help you pick up the pace.
All that being said, today it's just us for the first Ask Allie episode since March of this year.
I was all, I'm going to do these episodes every month.
And then I got that whole cancer diagnosis thing again.
And I felt like I was talking about myself a lot here in both solo episodes and with my support squad friends.
So I put a pause on Ask Allie because there is in fact a such thing as too much Allie.
And frankly, I think I've hit that point this year.
But it's Thanksgiving week and I can be honest with you because we're best running friends.
I do Ask Allie episodes when I either haven't gotten my act together to get a guest for the week or I just feel like I need a little break.
I don't love the phrase low-hanging fruit, but Ask Allie is a low-hanging fruit kind of episode.
My favorite fruit is cantaloupe.
Don't come for me.
Don't come for cantaloupe.
It's great.
So this is where I answer listener questions that are typically submitted on Instagram.
I am Allie on the Run 1 over there.
So let's see what we got this time around.
Welcome to Ask Allie on the Allie on the Run show.
We're going to start with the cancer category because I want to get that one out of the way, because that's never a fun category.
But there were a handful of questions here.
So here we go.
How is Annie when you're sick?
Is she loving or just a normal day?
Okay, she's always loving.
That I don't think is mutually exclusive to anything.
I try really hard for it to just be a normal day.
The days that I have chemo, Annie's with her dad, and then I pick her up from school the next day.
So I have, like I don't know how many hours around 24 hours to recover from chemo, which is never enough.
I usually feel really I get chemo on Tuesdays, and so Wednesday Thursday Friday, those are pretty rough days.
The 10 days after chemo, I am not at my best.
But Annie wouldn't know that.
I am very good at fake it till you make it and I did.
I am very good at also now planning accordingly.
Maybe that means having my parents over on the weekend just for an extra set of hands.
It might mean planning play dates so that Annie has friends to play with and I can chill with moms.
You know there have been times where, when I've been feeling pretty rough right after chemo, we've done bigger things.
Obviously, I've shared about this summer when I was really sick and we were on vacation in Ocean City, New Jersey.
That was rough, but that was its own thing.
Annie's birthday fell short the week of chemo this year and we had plans to go to Great Wolf Lodge with her best friend and her best friend's mom, who's my very good friend.
Um, yeah, I wouldn't recommend going to Great Wolf Lodge right after you've had chemo.
Uh, I was already feeling not great.
And then, you know, Great Wolf Lodge, that'll, that place will do you in.
Uh, but again, I had a friend and Annie had a friend and it was fine.
So yeah, I think, uh, to Annie, it's, It's business as usual.
She does know.
So I shared today, I am on the cover of People Health, which is pretty cool.
And it's funny how much has already changed since I did that interview a couple months ago.
In there, I talked about how I haven't used the word cancer with Annie.
I have now.
We had a talk a couple weeks ago, months ago.
I forget exactly when it was, but we actually did sit down and I talked to her.
And part of that is because her friends know.
Everyone uses different language with their own children, which is a wonderful thing.
And two of her friends from school who I'm good friends with, their moms.
They said the word cancer to Annie like do you know that your mom has cancer?
And Annie was like, what?
And so we talked about it.
We talked about it right away.
And so to that point, I just hadn't used those words with her.
It was more on the day to day of like Either I'm going to the doctor or when I had surgery.
That was easy to explain.
Bigger picture with a seven year old looks really different.
And I knew at some point we would have that conversation and um, it wasn't something I planned for, but the time was right.
And it went really well.
I explained to her breast cancer and that that's something I have and that I don't feel sick, but that I have to go to the doctor so that they can make sure that I stay really healthy.
And, uh, Yeah, she asked a couple questions, and we moved on with our day.
So that's kind of where we're at with the conversation side of things that no one asked about.
But, you know, ask Allie.
Here we go.
How are you doing?
What keeps you going?
I'm in awe.
That last part's very nice.
I probably didn't need to include the compliment in rereading the question here, but hey, why not?
How am I doing?
Right now, in this moment, I'm okay.
Health-wise, again, as I'm recording this, I'm in my sweet spot the week before chemo.
I get chemo every three weeks.
The first week is not so great.
Half of the second week is meh.
And then half of the second week, I tend to turn a corner.
And then in the final week before chemo, it's like, hell yeah, I feel great.
Life is normal.
And then it's like, oh, I got to go to chemo again.
So yeah, health-wise right now, I feel well, which is nice.
Mentally, I feel like I'm pretty good.
I think I've just been so busy these past few months from Chicago and New York.
Annie's birthday was in there.
Halloween was in there.
It's just been a busy time of year.
And so that's been kind of nice because I haven't spent a ton of time.
It was really bleak for a while.
I got this diagnosis in May and For many months that followed I spent a lot of time thinking about dying.
I spent a lot of time worried that I wasn't going to live to see any of Annie's future.
Like it was dark.
It's hard to get a stage four cancer diagnosis and to have your doctor give you a potential timeline.
Yeah, I don't ever want people to think I live in total delusion.
I am well aware of how this could play out.
And so when I say things like I'm staying positive or I'm being optimistic, or I'm delusionally optimistic, that tends to be that's more palatable to share than hey.
Last night I updated my will, which we should all do.
Everyone should have one.
But.
Yeah, it.
Maybe I'm still in.
I think there is a part of me that's still in denial about this diagnosis, just that it doesn't feel real.
It doesn't feel like it's my life.
It feels like I'm going through the motions and I'm okay with that for now.
I know that this is going to be a really long road because I do plan to live for a long time.
And part of that does mean accepting this diagnosis.
I'm certainly not in the acceptance phase.
I think it's hard to get there.
I've And probably still in denial.
I'm not in the anger phase.
I spent a little bit of time in that one.
What are the other phases?
Should I Google it?
Phases of grief, right?
It's the grief stages of grief.
This is a good use of our time.
Okay, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
Denial, still there.
I'm not in the anger phase.
Not a good use of my time.
Bargaining...
I don't know that I've spent time in bargaining.
Depression?
Oh gosh, yeah, I live there.
A lot of time in that one.
And acceptance?
Yeah, I'll get there.
So mentally right now I'm doing okay.
Thank you for asking.
Do you think you'll try a different color or style wig?
Seems like it would be fun.
Yeah, the wig for me is a tricky thing.
I wore it in New York.
I wore it in Chicago.
Those are the only times that I've worn the wig.
I still have hair on my head.
Not much, but enough that I'm not bald.
I have bald spots.
If I wear my hair parted and in a little ponytail.
Yeah, it looks like my hair is thin, but I don't think people would necessarily do a double take.
And so...
I don't usually feel like I need to wear a wig, not that anyone needs to wear a wig.
Yeah, I don't love it.
I need to maybe practice with it more.
So I lost a ton of hair while I was still cold capping.
I stopped cold capping and I've not had another shed in a while.
My hair was shedding like crazy for weeks at a time and then it stopped.
If I had to guess, I would guess that another shed is coming now that I've stopped cold capping.
But who knows?
So OK, the question was, do I think I'll try a different color or style wig?
No, that wig cost a fortune to give you a sense of what it costs.
And I knew it would be expensive.
I had done my research.
It was an investment I was willing to make because I wanted to feel my best, or feel better than I felt.
The wig was $7,000.
I went to the salon at 10 Newberry in Boston.
No partnership.
It was not gifted.
I paid for it like anyone would.
I'm sharing by name because they were wonderful.
They treated the appointment with care.
They do a great job.
It's a beautiful wig.
It's real hair.
I again am so grateful for the support from the GoFundMe that Jackie created, which just that's another thing that I haven't spent time making sense of um, just how incredibly generous so many people were.
And um, that goes to help ease any financial burden for a lot of things, but it also let me get that wig right.
I wouldn't have justified spending that much money on a wig without that.
And so thank you again for contributing.
Um, And yeah, that gives you a sense of cancer is really expensive.
One of these days, I do want to go through what I've spent out of pocket between co-pays, medications, care, surgery.
The other day, I got an $8,000 bill from the hospital.
And that's after insurance.
So it's just like I see how cancer bankrupts people.
And that's not happening to me.
I am fortunate, have a good job.
I love this job.
I work so many of you were so generous, like i'm not.
This is not a complaint, but it is well.
It is a complaint.
You know what it is a complaint?
Healthcare in this country is a joke.
It is a broken system.
It is terrible, and so no, i don't think i'll try a different color or style wig.
This episode is going really well.
Three questions in nailing it.
How is your PE journey going?
Yes, my pulmonary emboli.
Good question.
I have my next set of scans on December 9th.
That day I will get a PET scan.
I will also get a chest CT to see how those blood clots are doing.
I found out in September had five blood clots in my lungs and I'm on blood thinners now, which I'll be on for life.
And I actually need to get my Eliquis refilled, uh, I feel okay.
I don't feel like the reason we discovered them is I was having shortness of breath.
I've not been having that, which is good.
Sometimes, especially at night when I'm laying in bed, I do feel It's not chest pain, but it's like awareness of like ooh, it's almost like a tickle there.
Yeah, I'm like hyper aware of everything with my body now.
So I will find out on December 9th how those clots are doing.
I'm really Not that I'm looking forward to scans, because scans are yeah, tends to be kind of a sneaky, emotional day.
But I am hopeful that it will show that they've either dissolved or started dissolving and that the blood thinners are working, because that is kind of a freaky thing to live with.
How are your parents doing?
Yeah, I put this in the cancer section.
My parents are wonderful.
If they're doing anything other than well, I wouldn't know.
I come from a family where we don't talk about things that are hard or, um, mostly that's not true.
I do.
I talk about everything.
Um, my parents love to protect me from anything challenging.
And so, um, if my parents are having a hard time, I will not be the one to know.
So check in on my parents.
Uh, they're amazing.
I love them.
I see them often.
I
Lori and David, Gibby and Pop-Up are doing well, I think.
What can we do for you?
Is there anything we can do from afar?
That's very kind to ask.
Number one answer, keep listening to the show.
Keep supporting the sponsors of the show.
That is huge.
I don't get a financial cut, that I don't work on commission with my partners, but for most of them I have codes right.
LagoonSleep.com and use code Allie.
Well, right now they're having a Black Friday sale, so you don't even need a code.
But when you shop from the partners that I work with, they see how many uses the code Allie gets.
If you want to run the Eugene Marathon, use code OnTheRun.
You'll save on your registration and the Eugene Marathon.
People will be like hell.
Yeah, a lot of people are using Ellie's code.
Let's keep working with her.
And so those are two of the biggest and best ways is keep supporting my work.
You know, on the home front I don't want to be like I've got things under control, but I mean I do.
I manage my home.
I show up for Annie.
I show up for Ellie.
I try my best to show up for my loved ones.
But yeah, I forever I don't work at a job where they're like here's your paycheck every two weeks and it's always the same amount.
I work for it and I love working for it and I love what I do.
And so the best way that you can support is supporting my work.
You can follow me on Instagram, AllieOnTheRun1.
The newsletter is AllieOnTheRun.substack.com.
So stick around.
I also know that the cancer stuff Makes the show a lot less fun.
I want it to be a fun place.
I don't want it to be too much cancer content.
I think there's a place for it.
And I know that the episodes where I talk about it resonate and a lot of people do enjoy or appreciate them.
But mostly I want it to be as business as usual as it can be.
Last question in the cancer section, which has taken me a while to get through.
Sorry.
Do you have mental strategies for staying so positive or is it purely natural?
Love your energy.
I'm going to include the compliments in these questions.
I appreciate them.
I like them.
Okay.
As for mental strategies, no, I don't.
And I don't want people to think I am so positive all the time.
I do think that is my natural demeanor.
It hasn't always been.
I have gone through long periods in my life where I've been depressed, where I've been incredibly low, where I've been very pessimistic.
I think that the positivity, the optimism those are, believe it or not, those are a product of a really hard couple years.
And I've gotten good at compartmentalizing.
Sometimes, if I start feeling whether it's sad or angry or any kind of way there are times where I'll say okay, let's work this out.
And maybe that means sitting with it.
Maybe it means listening to a sad song and crying.
Maybe it means calling cousin Jackie and absolutely losing my shit because she lets me do that in a judgment-free way.
Other times I'm like, you know what?
I don't want to go down this road right now, and I'll Put that in a little box and come back to it another time.
So I don't... Well, first of all, I'm also... I'm not going to give mental health advice.
I'm in no place to do that.
I have a therapist.
She's amazing.
Shout out Martha.
She's very helpful.
I'm actually overdue for a session with her.
Got to get that on the books.
There's room for all of the feelings.
I don't think...
It's healthy to be, oh my God, so positive and cheery all the time.
I have a lot of very real stuff in my life that requires me to be completely unemotional, which is very hard for me to do.
There's stuff that does require me to kind of be in my like protective mom mode.
You know, we all have our stuff.
And so I don't know.
I don't want people to think that I am so positive all the time.
Also...
I know I always say this, especially in these episodes, but is what I share completely honest, whether it's Instagram podcasts in real life?
Yes, you're getting a pretty unfiltered version of me.
And I'm not someone who and this is no judgment do you, but I don't film myself crying on the bathroom floor.
I might share something about having a hard day when it feels right.
But, like you never know anyone's full picture, even someone perhaps like me, who does share a lot.
I do put a lot out there I.
Sometimes I look at how many Instagram stories I've posted and I'm like girl, put your phone down, walk away.
It's too much.
But it's not all positive all the time.
I also don't think I ever force the positivity.
Uh, I I think it's my default I.
I'm glad when I'm in that headspace, but if I'm not, I don't really think that I force it.
So feel all your feelings.
Let's move on to our next little category here.
Okay, this next section, the motherhood section.
Really quick, just a couple questions here.
Well, we'll do like motherhood slash, I don't know, life.
It's Friday night and the day was hectic, relatable.
What do you and Annie order for takeout?
We do pizza on Friday nights.
We very often do Friday pizza and movie night.
That's the go-to.
We pick up a pizza on the way home from school.
We eat on the couch on our little tray tables and we watch a movie.
Though lately, oh my gosh, it's so painful.
She's obsessed with the show The Thundermans on Netflix and it's so bad.
She loves it.
Loves it.
We watch the Thundermans all the time.
It's so cheesy.
The acting is not great.
Hopefully the actors don't listen or the writers.
You're all doing great.
But it's not my favorite phase of television right now.
So we call it movie night or a show.
Will you ever talk about how to navigate dating or social media with an ex or dating with cancer?
Okay.
Okay. covered a lot of different things there.
No, I'm not interested in that.
No, that is a part of my life that I'm just not interested in sharing for a lot of reasons.
I'm sure you've noticed, I don't talk about my divorce beyond that.
It's something that is a big part of my life.
I talk about how I feel, as a sort of my own feelings, but I don't talk about Annie's dad.
I don't talk about you know the details of our marriage and the dissolution of our marriage.
That, for me, is not um, not for public consumption it's.
I don't think it's right to get into that, especially when there are children involved and other parties involved.
So that is my choice, that's what I, that's what makes me feel my best and feel like I'm moving through the world with integrity.
That is something that is important to me.
And so I get it.
Like, don't get me wrong.
I follow plenty of people who, all of a sudden, their significant others disappear from their social media posts.
And I'm like, what happened?
I get it.
I get the curiosity.
We have these parasocial relationships.
We want to know what happened.
We want the details.
We want the hot takes.
We want the opinions.
I get it.
And look, if there ever comes to a point where I do like a burn it all down episode, tune in.
But I don't think that's going to happen.
And that is mostly for Annie's benefit.
That also it's just that's not I'm not interested in that.
And sometimes I do wish not that I wish I talked more about it, but.
When I was going through my divorce, which was a very long and painful process, what was helpful for me was connecting with other people who had been through it or were going through it.
Just like with anything, that's true with cancer as well.
I found that to be really helpful for a lot of reasons.
From the legal standpoint, it was helpful.
From the, oh my gosh, how'd you deal with this?
From the parenting side, like it's just helpful to talk to people who get it.
And so there are times where I wish I could be that person for others.
And privately, I am that person for people in my life.
And I hope that helps.
But yeah, that's not something I need to share about. in any further detail.
I will also say that asking someone why they got divorced is a crazy question.
It's always complicated.
I think that's just a hard question to answer.
It's something that I've talked to a lot of people about, because people ask of like, why did so?
And so get divorced.
It's probably not just one thing.
As for the other parts of that question, dating, Dating with cancer.
The dating with cancer piece is separate, and that is super hard.
Yeah, that's a separate thing.
But dating in general.
I think I'm just not in a place where I'm interested in sharing that part of my life right now.
It feels fun to have some things that are private.
When I have something that I want to share with you, I will.
For now I don't want to.
Okay, that's that section.
Cool cool, cool.
All right.
The next section is the running section, and I wish it were longer.
The reality, just to give you a top level overview.
Um, I'm not running much these days.
I ran a little bit when I was in New York for the marathon and I haven't run since then.
Um, the last round of chemo was pretty tough.
I'm now at the point where I'm like okay, if I want to run, now's the time, I'm feeling well and I've got a, But I am sorely lacking motivation.
I in part because it's so cold.
It's so cold.
I'm so weak.
Also, because I'm running so infrequently and I've been running so infrequently for months now.
I'm just not in running shape and running feels hard.
And when something feels hard, I every day.
When I have the choice of do I want to go for a run or a walk, I choose a walk every day and I walk a lot.
I love I I mostly love walking.
I'm a little bored at times, but I have been choosing the easier way.
And then I'm like come on Allison, you're never.
You're never going to get back in shape if you don't try.
It's not just magically going to happen.
But yeah I'm, I am struggling in that department, not to the point that it's necessarily bothering me or weighing on me.
But yeah, running just feels hard.
And so I don't do it.
How's that for a motivating running podcast?
Happy to have you here.
Dream race to announce and to run, uh, to announce, I mean, New York city marathon for sure.
Uh, I've been lucky to have gotten to do that for a couple of years and I don't have a dream race to run.
I think that if I were going to run a marathon and I do think I'd like to run a marathon again someday when it feels right
And it feels like the training is something I can fit into my life.
Um, I think I'd want to run London.
I had a lot of fun when I was in London this year and I could see that, like my thing with running a marathon is I need to be very excited about the race, to keep me going throughout the training and to be jazzed about 262 miles.
And I could see myself being excited about 26.2 miles in London.
So, I mean, that's not happening anytime soon, but to give you an answer, that's where my head goes.
Does your town have a turkey trot and do you participate?
My town does have a cute little turkey trot.
I will not be participating this year because this year Thanksgiving is two days after chemo.
So I don't think I will be up for turkey trotting, but I love a turkey trot.
Everyone.
Go out there and crush it and enjoy getting absolutely destroyed by your local cross-country team and a bunch of high schoolers.
Have fun.
Do you have any sort of training routine or are you just winging it with whatever is possible each day?
Yeah, I guess I already covered that, but definitely no routine.
I try to do my 20 minutes of Peloton strength a handful of days a week.
I don't do it every day.
I don't usually do it on the weekends.
I try to do 10 minutes of arms, which is either arms and light weights the little three pound weights or if I'm feeling really brave, I'll do pushups.
10-pound weights for 10 minutes, and then I'll try to do 10 minutes of core.
So maybe it's a barre class, Pilates, or just a straight-up core class.
And usually I do that in my pajamas in the morning before Annie wakes up.
So that's the routine.
And then, yeah, I try to get outside.
I try to go for a walk every day.
Uh, it's harder on weekends when I'm with Annie.
Uh, I just am not interested in getting childcare so that I can go for a walk.
If my parents are around, they might hang with Annie for a little bit.
So I can go for an hour and there's nothing wrong with doing that.
I just, my time with her already feels so limited.
And so I, yeah.
And I could wake up really early on weekends.
I have a treadmill.
I could, like I could, I could go downstairs and walk on the treadmill while she's sleeping, and.
But you know what sounds better?
Laying in bed.
So again, I am not your place for motivation right now.
So if you're looking for that, I'm super sorry.
I'm just not, I'm not there.
I'm not doing a lot.
I'm going for a lot of walks.
I love my walks.
I'm moving.
I'm trying to stay as healthy as I can.
I'm just, I'm not feeling Allie on the run these days.
This episode of the Allie on the Run show is brought to you by Lagoon.

Okay, yay.
Let's do the work section.
Dream guest besides T Swift.
It's funny.
There were so many questions in here from people being like other than Taylor Swift.
Who's your dream guest?
Or have you set up an interview with Taylor Swift yet?
Does she know you?
Have you tried to get Taylor on the show to talk about her treadmill workouts?
Surely, yes.
I have never once tried to get Taylor Swift on the show.
I have made no effort. effort whatsoever to try and get Taylor Swift on the alley on the run show.
I think maybe at some point I will.
I'll try.
Yeah, I'll put out some asks.
But knowing how little press she does and knowing what press she does do, I don't think a running podcast is going to rank super high on the list.
I have to imagine she gets hundreds, thousands of requests every single day.
So while yes, I am delusionally optimistic in many ways in life, I don't actually have the belief that I will ever interview Taylor Swift.
Would I love to?
Of course I would.
That would be great.
But I do try to keep my dreams somewhat within reach, but they're ever evolving.
So who knows?
You know, I also believe that Seven years ago I wouldn't have believed that I would interview Katie Couric or a Chelsea Clinton.
And then at some point I did.
So who knows?
Who knows?
Right now, there's not one guest that I'm like, oh my gosh, I have to get this person.
I do always have a list of guests that would be awesome.
You know, Michelle Obama's on that list.
Robin Roberts is on that list.
It's interesting.
I feel like a lot of the...
The biggest names on that list are Beyond Running, and I don't want this to be a show that's going that much beyond running.
I don't want it to be a frequent thing.
I want to stay in the industry that I'm in.
I love it here.
It is also just fun to go beyond that from time to time for a very special reason.
So yeah, I'll get back to you on that.
What is your favorite part of your job and your least favorite?
Oh, least favorite, easy.
Financials, QuickBooks, taxes.
Oh, God.
You know what I hate?
You know what my least favorite thing is?
Payroll taxes.
And just taxes.
I hate paying taxes.
I want to keep all my money.
I want to support programs that support other people.
That's not what I'm saying.
I'm not like screw everyone else.
Yeah.
I want to help the people, but also I, yeah, I mean, I don't enjoy admin in general.
I don't like sending emails.
It's not fun, but you know, we all have to do it.
So my favorite part of my job, I love recording.
I mean, I love the interviews live shows.
Live shows are probably my number one favorite thing because I
Live shows, I love the energy.
I love us all being in a room together.
I love the reminder that there are in fact real people who make up this community, not just me and my computer screen.
So yeah, live shows are the best.
I really genuinely enjoy my job.
I just don't love the admin side of it.
I never wanted to own a business.
I never wanted to work for myself.
I am someone who is actually very well suited for a traditional office job.
I do well at a desk.
I do well around people.
I do well taking a lunch break and then coming back after.
I do well commuting and then having a little drawer full of high heels to change into.
And I
My career took me in a lot of unexpected ways and I'm happy to be here.
So, yay.
Favorite type of person to interview?
A funny person, a kind person, someone who's a great storyteller.
But I think what you mean with this question is like everyday runner, professional runner marathoner, track athlete, celebrity.
And I would say, I mean...
I love interviewing marathoners.
That's where I'm most comfortable.
Marathoners, I love a 1500 runner.
If I could interview Nikki Hiltz every day of my career, I would be a very happy person.
So, yeah.
But also, I love the, you know, I...
I just had Jordan Litz on the show and that's going to go down as one of my favorite interviews.
I had a blast talking to him.
He was so easy to talk to.
He was a great storyteller.
He was charismatic.
He was fun.
He sang.
So yeah, I don't think I could narrow it down to just a favorite type.
But I mean, the best guest is someone who is well-spoken, who is a good storyteller.
You know, think about all the late night shows, right?
Or talk shows or anything like that, where the guest comes in and the guest has what?
Six minutes with the host and they come in prepared with a couple of different stories or anecdotes.
This show is nice because we get a longer time with which to do that.
But I love people who can come in and tell a story well.
Um, and that's you know.
There are people who have great stories to tell but might not have had a lot of experience telling that story or might not be comfortable sharing it.
And so, um, and I'm happy to do those interviews as well and to do what I can to help with that.
Uh, but it is really fun when someone can come in and tell a great story that just has me grinning or captivated or whatever the reaction is.
I love a storyteller.
Ooh, Carnegie hall or jazz at Lincoln center.
That's not a fair question.
Uh, both iconic New York city venues, both Absolutely amazing to have done live shows at them.
Carnegie was so special in so many ways.
The live musicians, the I mean, it was Carnegie Hall like that felt really special.
Jazz at Lincoln Center was just so stunning.
So I would say Carnegie Hall for the iconicness, not a word.
But Carnegie Hall for the institution right to be able to say I played Carnegie Hall the day after Hillary Clinton and jazz at Lincoln Center was probably the most stunning venue I've ever been in.
That atrium was gorgeous.
Those floor to ceiling windows like it was it was beautiful.
And I think everyone in that room felt it.
It was a really special experience, really special place to be, but I would happily return to either.
What kind of legal prep do you have to do before guests like Katie Couric?
Is there a contract?
No no, no legal prep.
These are just conversations.
They are intended to be editorial.
So no, I do not do contracts with my guests.
Some shows do certainly the bigger shows, I'm sure have them sign, you know, some sort of whether it's a, a contract or a release, whatever that looks like.
I do not do that with my guests.
I probably should.
Um, I probably should, but no, for Katie, there was no legal prep required.
What would you tell Allie who was feeling lost about her career back in 2017?
Good memory.
Thanks for sticking around.
Yeah.
2017, I had launched the Allie on the run show, uh, but it wasn't a job.
I think I had maybe brought on one sponsor at that point.
So I was making like a couple hundred dollars a month.
I didn't know what I wanted to do with it.
I was hustling as a freelance writer, making like a hundred dollars here, $200 there.
And it just felt like it didn't feel sustainable.
And so I would tell, and so anyway, I had a mental breakdown about it.
Yay.
It was fun.
I recorded it.
It's an episode.
Uh, I would tell her, keep going.
It's all going to work out.
Yeah.
It's all going to work out.
You're going to have some really cool moments.
So keep at it.
Uh, I would also tell her, you know, I would give her a lot of advice.
Uh, I would say get incorporated as an LLC, as an S corp sooner.
Um, Don't be a sole proprietor.
You will, for a girl who hates paying taxes, you'll really pay them that way.
So yeah, I mean, I would give her plenty of logistical advice, but mostly I would say keep going.
Like you're on the right track.
You're going to have some really cool experiences with this.
Would you ever write a book?
You're amazing with words.
No, not interested.
I get this question a decent amount, I think, because I write such long Instagram captions that I'm already partially there with a book, by way of word count.
No, I am not interested in writing a book.
I don't think I have much more to say that I haven't already shared on Instagram or in this podcast.
I can't imagine anyone going to a bookstore other than like all of you in this amazing community, like a random person who's never heard of the alley on the run show isn't going to be like, let me pick up this book that this random chick wrote.
I just don't think that's going to happen, and I don't want to care about things like book sales and pre-orders.
I'm not cut out for that.
I yeah, I think the the stuff that I haven't shared is the stuff that I'm not planning to share, and so No, I am not planning to write a book.
Have you ever had a bathroom emergency during a live show?
I love that I'm like, ask me what's ever on your mind.
And this is where people's brain goes.
I've not.
I've done some live shows where I was very, very sick.
But I fortunately have been okay once I'm on stage.
How was meeting Sydney McLaughlin-Leveroni?
It was great.
So I had met Sydney briefly. at an event that I did for New Balance.
I hosted a panel and that was a couple weeks before the live show.
So I got to meet her briefly there, but I mean, that was a very, it was very professional.
It was very buttoned up.
It wasn't like a live show.
It was Sydney, you're the face of the New Balance Tag Heuer collaboration.
Talk about it.
What do these brands mean to you?
Like it was more of that format, but I did get to meet her, which was great.
And then at the live show, we got to spend a lot of time together.
We spent time together backstage before we went on.
We spent time together afterward.
Sydney's lovely.
Sydney and I know we've already covered this that it was great in the show to get to showcase a bit more of her personality.
She is more reserved and she's shy.
And I wanted to respect that and play to her strengths without, forcing her out of her comfort zone.
My job is not to make people be bubbly.
Am I bubbly?
Sure.
And if people match that energy, cool.
But I don't ever want people to feel like they have to be something that they're not.
And so I hope that the live show showed that Sydney can juggle and she has a dry humor and she's sarcastic and she's fun and she's a very serious athlete.
You don't become... the best in the world by just being fun and bubbly.
And so I have a ton of respect for her and what she's done in her career.
And so, yeah, meeting her was awesome.
I've always wanted to.
I've always wanted to interview her.
And so that show and that experience is a highlight of 2025 for sure.
What is a professional goal or plan for 2026 that you're excited about?
You know...
I'm still in 2025.
There's still a lot I have to do to wrap up this year.
And I have started putting pen to paper yesterday.
In fact, I started making a list of things I want to do in 2026, but it's less big dreams and exciting ideas and more like again.
It's kind of more the admin.
Like I, my website has not been updated in a year and a half.
My, um, I want to do a rebrand, do a new logo, um, but I don't want to take photos right now.
I'm just not feeling my best, and so trying to figure out the timing of when I can do those things.
So yeah, I hate to not have an answer to that, but I don't have any big professional goals or plans for 2026.
Hopefully I always do the state of the alley on the run show episode to kick off a new year and hopefully by the time I do that I will have more things that I'm excited to share.
Do you prefer racing or announcing?
Depends.
I like being on the broadcast.
So can that be an answer?
Is it too late to start a podcast with so many people doing them now?
I mean, it's never too late.
I think it would be crazy for someone to say it's too late, but I would say what are your goals with it?
I do think that it is an incredibly saturated market and it's very hard to if you don't already have a platform.
I do think it is hard to break in and start a podcast right now.
That's not to say that you shouldn't, but what are your goals?
Are you looking to make this your full-time job?
Do you just want to have a hobby and you'll be happy if you know you get a handful of downloads a week like what are?
What do you want to do?
I would also say what's your angle?
You got to make sure that you have something unique to offer.
Because there are so many podcasts what, what hole can you fill?
Where do you see gaps?
What do you want to do?
And really do some research to make sure that there aren't already people doing exactly what you want to do?
You know, there are lots and lots of running podcasts and a lot of them are very unique and different, whether it's just by nature of who the host is, or whether they're interview style or it's conversational, with co-hosts catching up every week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What do you want to do?
What sets you apart?
And what are your goals?
I think once you figure those out, go from there.
When you meet people in the wild, what's the weirdest thing someone has said or done to you?
Okay, I don't know if this is the weirdest thing someone has said or done, but this is a funny thing that happened in New York.
And I don't think I shared this in the recap, but man, Connor will not let me live this down.
So it was Saturday evening in New York City.
So the live show was that afternoon.
And New Balance had so generously given everyone in attendance a pink Team Ali sweatshirt, which was so cool.
Like seeing those in the wild that weekend was so cool.
So Connor and I were going out to dinner.
So we were leaving the hotel, which is, you know, the host hotel.
It's where a lot of people stay.
So he and I are in the elevator and I am standing looking in the mirror.
We were the only people in the elevator.
And I'm standing like an inch from the mirror, just like standing way too close looking at my reflection.
And I forget what I said, but I was like being very critical of myself, whether it was like oh my God, the bag's under my eyes, or like I look rough right now whatever,
I was kind of laying into myself in a good natured fun, silly way, but standing very close to the mirror.
And then I think I said to him, I was like, I need to spend less time looking at myself.
And so I turn around and this woman and presumably her husband, they walk onto the elevator and she is wearing a team alley sweatshirt.
And I look at Connor and I were like, so excited.
And so I said, hi, I'm like, hi.
And she's like, hi.
And I think I said something like, I like your sweatshirt.
And she goes, thanks.
I got it at an event that I went to today.
And I was like yeah, i was like that's awesome, i hope you like it.
And she was just like yeah, thanks.
And like that was it.
And then i go, i'm ally.
And she was just like oh, nice to meet you.
And when i tell you, i went from standing an inch away from my own reflection to being so immediately humbled.
Connor couldn't stop laughing.
I was like i don't know what to do.
I don't know what to do um, And then we parted ways off the elevator and something happened after.
And of course now my memory is so foggy, but I think she sent me a message on Instagram, was like oh my gosh, like I didn't make the connection.
That was you like Allie on the run.
It was a good show.
Please tell Connor I'll remember you in the future.
Like it was just, it was such a great humbling experience in a moment that I needed it.
You know, I was, I was too close to my own face.
I needed someone to be like, I don't know who you are.
I don't care.
And that wasn't what she said, but it was just very funny that she was wearing the sweatshirt.
And I said, I'm Allie.
And she was like, okay.
And then we went on with our day.
So not the weirdest thing someone said, but that story is top of mind because Connor just brought it up again this week.
So this is what I mean.
It's good to have friends who keep you humble.
And Connor does that.
Dream Bravo Leb interview.
Love the Carl interview.
OK, I'm not a big Bravo girly.
I'm a summer house girly.
I watch summer house.
But beyond that, like I've never watched Real Housewives haven't done Southern Charm, haven't done Below Deck.
Someone asked in this question in this Q&A if I'm still watching Vanderpump Rules.
I am not.
Jackie convinced me to watch it.
I started it after my first round of chemo.
I watched like three episodes but I was so sick that I now unfortunately associate Vanderpump rules with how I felt during those days.
And it just brings me back to being very, very sick and bedridden after chemo.
So I abandoned Vanderpump.
Maybe I'll come back at some point.
But I mean, I would love to say like Paige DeSorbo, but Paige famously does not run.
So I don't know.
You know, I think it was clear after the interview with Carl that Kyle Cook will be running a marathon next year.
So I'll see what I can do.
Kyle also has the New Hampshire connection.
So I think he'd make a great guest on the Alley on the Run show.
Final question in this section do you rerecord your intros each episode or do you have one pre-saved?
I rerecord them every single time.
Never once have I copy pasted the intro.
I do it fresh every single time one day.
So you know how I do trivia at live shows and they're always about the guest.
I think that's important, that they're about the guest, but one time I do want one of the.
I shouldn't give this away now.
I won't do it, so I'll tell you about it instead of doing it is.
I've often thought that a great trivia would be who can stand up right now and recite the intro of the alley on the run show, but i'm so nervous that not one person would be able to do it and everyone will be like yeah, we skip the 30, the first 30 seconds every time, which i don't blame you.
It's like chapter two of the babysitters club, you don't need it, but i have thought about doing that as a trivia question.
So i don't know.
At least one of you is gonna go study right now.
I know you are casey megan.
Which one of you is gonna do it?
I love you all.
Let's go into the final category, which is just random.
It's the grab bag category.
Recent splurge on your self-purchase.
Okay, don't do that.
I have been wanting a new bed for like two years because I've replaced my bedding like sheets, comforter and that.
But like and I love my mattress, so I'm not gonna replace my mattress anytime soon, but the bed frame It's broken.
It's an Ikea bed frame.
And if I'm being honest, it was the bed that my now ex-husband and I shared.
Like, I want better bed karma.
And so I want to get a new bed.
I have picked one out.
It's been sitting in my cart for six months now.
And I just refuse to hit purchase.
So no, I don't splurge on myself.
I don't do that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And, and, and I am hoping to take a vacation.
I have not taken a vacation, a proper vacation since before Annie was born.
I feel like, and I'm torn on this because there's a part of me that's like, I deserve a vacation.
It's been a rough couple of years.
This will be the first Christmas that I will not have Annie in her whole life.
And it's hard to even say that.
Um, But yeah, I'm dreading it and I want to get the hell away from here.
And so I want to go on vacation.
Feels like a good time to just get out of here.
And if you go back earlier in this episode, I talked about having a GoFundMe.
And that was a huge reason that when Jackie and my loved ones and I were talking is I was like I can't have a GoFundMe because then I feel like my whole life is under scrutiny.
I feel like I will never buy a bed or take a vacation and I want to do that.
And hopefully this makes sense.
I know I'm not doing a very good job explaining, but like what kind of person am I to have a GoFundMe where people can help support my family and then I take myself on a vacation?
And again.
My friends have talked me off that ledge many, many times and explained to me like People want to help and that no one expects you to not ever leave your house.
So anyway, it's just something that I think about a lot.
So I want to go on a vacation.
I need to be like shoved into doing that or else I never will.
And then I'll just stay home and then I'll be really sad.
And yeah.
Are you a Manny?
Just going to leave those incomplete thoughts and move right on.
Are you a mani-pedi gal?
I do not get manicures.
I think I've gotten one manicure in my entire life and I like to get pedicures.
I go, I don't know, a handful of times a year.
I love sitting in the massage chair.
I don't really care about my toenails being painted.
I don't see them all that much because I'm always wearing fuzzy socks.
I love fuzzy socks.
I
But I do like the act of sitting in a massage chair, either talking to Annie or with a friend.
The painting and the polish, I don't care.
But I do like the experience of getting a pedicure.
And again, I should do that more.
That's wellness.
I should justify that.
If 15-year-old Allie saw you now, what would she be most proud of?
Oh, all of it.
I think she'd be, well, I think she'd be like, why did you leave Dance Spirit?
That's all we ever wanted.
I think she'd be psyched that I did move to New York City and work for Dance Spirit magazine.
I think she would be psyched that I have the job I have now.
I think especially to teenagers having a podcast and being on Instagram and being on TV.
I've learned from the kids at Annie's school that they think that's a pretty cool job.
I'm not quite a YouTuber, but similar.
So, yeah, I think 15 year old Allie and, you know, I always knew I wanted to be a mom.
And so I think, 15 year old Allie, as much as she was not thinking about having children anytime soon, she would be happy to know that I had a daughter.
And I think she would love that.
That daughter is a little dancer dancing at the same studio that she went to.
So a lot of sweet moments there.
What is something you've done that you're proud of, but nobody knows about it?
Probably a lot of the stuff that I said earlier that I'm not going to talk about.
Divorce is really hard.
And I mean, I think cancer is hard.
Divorce has been harder.
It's different, but it's been really hard.
And I am proud of, I didn't always get it right in this process.
There are things that I wish I had done differently. and I am proud of how I showed up.
I'm proud of how I have showed up for Annie throughout all of it.
So I think that's my top-level answer.
Which reality TV show would you survive the longest on, and which one would you be first out?
Well, I think everyone knows I would be first out on Top Chef.
Connor says that I have to retire my joke about how I would –
Go on Top Chef and make a microwave quesadilla.
He says, I've told that joke too many times.
So never again.
Again, keeping me humble.
My jokes aren't funny anymore.
I don't know if that one was ever funny.
It's just accurate.
So yeah, any of the cooking shows.
Great British Bake Off.
I mean, I like baking if I have a recipe to follow.
I like baking when it's like, here's a box of Ghirardelli brownie mix.
Add... a quarter cup of water, a third, a cup of oil and an egg.
Like that's my kind of baking and I crush it every time.
But if they were like, is it cake?
I'd be terrible at, is it cake?
They would be like, no, it's not cake, but it's also not the real thing.
It's a pile of nothing.
Which reality show would I survive the longest on?
Definitely not survivor.
Definitely not fear factor.
That would be a nightmare.
Um, I would not be very good at Dancing with the Stars.
If they come up with a Dancing with the Stars and it's like dancing with the podcast hosts and it's tap dancing, put me in, coach.
But I would not be good at Dancing with the Stars.
I don't have the ballroom.
My hips don't go where I want them to go all the time.
I would not be good on... any of the Bravo shows because I'm not good at fighting.
I don't like confrontation.
I run away from it.
Um, so I wouldn't be good at those also like, man, those people party.
And I would be like, is it bedtime?
I'm recording this episode in my bathroom right now.
So I guess I would be good on summer house with, um, the bedbugs with page and Amanda and Sierra.
I would, I'd be fine there.
Um, I don't know.
Um, The Bachelorette.
That could be fun.
Favorite comfort foods currently.
Oh, OK.
Not a comfort food, but my favorite.
It's time for my favorite seasonal treat, which is the lint truffles.
You know, the little round ones.
They're like the peppermint ones.
Not, they're not the white chocolate ones, but they're milk chocolate, and they have what tastes like little bits of thin mint cookie in them.
Oh, my God.
I could eat like easily a dozen of those a day.
I should probably keep track, um.
So yeah, that that's like my go-to and i'm.
I mean, i always eat a lot of salmon, but i'm eating an extra lot of salmon lately, so that's healthy, that's good for me.
Have you started watching christmas movies yet?
Not yet, but we have started listening to christmas music.
Just both annie's and my favorite christmas song, which is underneath the tree, by kelly clarkson Names on your list for Annie that you never used.
Loved the fact about Ellie on the Katie Couric episode.
Yeah, Ellie.
Loved the name Annie.
Loved the name Lucy.
That was a longtime frontrunner.
And I went through a phase where I really liked the name Remy.
R-E-M-Y.
I liked that for a girl.
I thought that was a cute name.
I still think it's a cute name.
You know, shout out to Ratatouille.
I think I knew that that wouldn't be a name that got used, but I did.
Like that name.
Honest opinion of The Life of a Showgirl.
I like it.
I'm not obsessed with it.
There are songs that I love.
I love Life of a Showgirl.
I love Opalite.
I love Fate of Ophelia.
I'm very into Father Figure right now.
That's been my go-to.
So I'm still listening to those.
But I have stopped listening to the entire album all the way through.
There are skips on the album for me.
Like Honey...
Wood, Wishlist, they're not my favorites.
I don't dislike them.
They're just skips.
And so I like the album.
I appreciate it.
It's not my favorite.
It's not the one I resonate with the most.
But yeah, it's nice to listen to.
And I will say I will associate that album with a very sweet time in my life, which was Chicago Marathon weekend.
I still, when I hear The Life of a Showgirl, I think about walking out on that stage for the Chicago live show and how loved and good that felt.
And so yeah, I have.
I have happy life of a showgirl memories.
Thinking about any tattoos YOLO um, I can't get tattoos while I'm going through chemo, so that's an easy answer.
Uh, risk of infection.
It's also why I can't do microblading, though my doctors did say that if at some point where I'm like pretty stable, if I get to a no evidence of disease or things are stable and I really want to get my eyebrows microbladed, we can plan for a break, like a short break in chemo, like you know, pushing it just a couple weeks.
I think we're pretty far off from that, though.
Are you looking forward to the upcoming holidays?
It's tricky.
So we're hosting Thanksgiving.
Annie and Ellie and I are hosting.
We're I have mixed feelings on.
Thanksgiving's two days after chemo.
I'm probably not going to be feeling great.
And so it's nice that we won't have to travel anywhere.
It does feel like a moderately heavy lift to host.
But I've delegated.
For example, I asked my parents to bring a turkey, cooked.
So I am the host with the most, providing so much.
OK.
Favorite Thanksgiving food?
Oh, I mean, it's all brown and beige, but I love the stuffing.
I love the rolls and I love dipping both in a lot of gravy.
Long road trip gas station snack.
You have $10.
What are you buying for the trip?
Okay, I would get a little.
You know one of the little things that has like salami and cheese and crackers, like a little mini gas station charcuterie board, and then mini Oreos.
Mini Oreos are my plane snack.
I don't get them any other time, like I would never go to the grocery store and buy mini Oreos, but if I'm on a plane or if I'm traveling, mini Oreos are my jam.
How does Ellie handle furry guests?
Did she get along with your guest dogs?
Yeah, so Jenny and Jason Simpson and their two dogs, Truman and Barkley, stayed at our house these past few days and I was like yeah, it'll be great.
Like Ellie's a good girl and she likes boy dogs.
Ellie was the worst version of herself.
Ellie liked Truman.
She was so mean to Barkley would just bark at him, chase him around the house.
Like it was not great.
Ellie, Ellie was not on her best behavior and I was embarrassed.
So yeah, hit or miss, hit or miss with Ellie.
Um, Yeah.
Do you plan to ski this winter?
Any changes from last year's ski team?
Hell yeah.
I'm on ski team again.
And this year my team is different.
Tom will be there.
Ski team Tom will be there, but we're actually on different teams this time.
I'm on, they put together an all women's team.
And so I'm on a team with my friends, Liz and Darcy and Libby.
Like it's awesome.
It's I'm so excited to be on.
In all women's ski team.
And yeah, Yeah, ski team makes winter so much more fun.
It's on Monday nights, which works out well for my schedule.
It works out well for chemo because chemo is on Tuesdays and so won't affect skiing.
And so, yeah, pumped.
We start, I believe we start the first week in January after the holidays.
You always ask your guests, so what's one thing making you happy today?
I went for a really nice walk this morning, so that was good.
And Annie had a doctor's appointment this morning.
And so I went to school to pick her up and take her to her doctor's appointment.
And she knew we had talked about it, but she was so excited when I got there.
Like she was just so excited to see me and gave me a big hug.
And so, you know, the little things.
Favorite Christmas tradition?
Christmas Eve at my parents' house.
My mom loves hosting.
She especially loves hosting Christmas Eve.
And we always have, yeah, Annie and her cousins and my brother and his wife.
And Christmas Eve is just we hang out and we eat all day and it's fun and we play games.
And this will be the first Christmas Eve without that.
And so I don't want to talk about it.
It's a fine question.
I'm just, yeah, feeling...
Feeling some kind of way about the holidays this year.
It's a little different.
Favorite Taylor Swift song on her new album.
Like I said, I'm into Father Figure right now, but my favorite song is Life of a Showgirl.
Tips for not hating winter.
Fellow New Englander here, and I feel like the dark and cold is blah.
It's so blah.
I hate being cold.
I'm cold all the time.
Joining the ski team last year was a game changer for me.
I think you just have to lean in and try to get the right gear.
No shame in wearing a bathrobe if you work from home.
No shame in having hand warmers up your sleeves while you're working or going for walks or going for runs.
Bundle up.
You're always happier once you've gotten outside, right?
Even if you come in and you're like, oh my gosh, I'm so cold.
Great.
Then you get to take a hot shower and that hot shower feels extra rewarding.
So I think For me last year, it was just the mental shift of I'm going to embrace this winter.
And I'm trying to approach that with the same outlook this year.
I think just lean in and say, I'm going to love this and love it.
Dang it.
What do you find most helpful in a therapist?
There's a lot of things and it can be really hard to find, but worth it to put in that effort.
What I need in a therapist is I need someone who's going to be very honest with me.
For a long time I had this really lovely therapist and I loved her and I treated every therapy session as an hour to just vent.
And I would just like go off and she would validate my feelings and she would tell me that you know my anger or my sadness or whatever.
I was feeling that it was justified.
And um, and she would offer helpful feedback, but she never really put me in my place and um.
Now I'm at a point in life where yeah, I need someone to call me out if I'm being irrational or hysterical.
I need them to listen, of course.
Any good therapist will do that.
But I also need specific help.
One thing with my current therapist that's been really helpful is working through different ways of communicating with different people and how to be more effective in my communication.
It's um.
Another big thing i've worked on is managing expectations.
I tend to have insanely high expectations for myself, and that has not changed, but i also have high expectations for people in my life and people in certain roles in my life, and so it's been learning to um you know what is realistic.
What expectations are fair?
So yeah, I think it's having someone who I trust and who I feel like genuinely hears me and sees my full picture and what I'm sharing but can also work with me really specifically to work through things that are happening, versus just venting.
Like just venting can feel good sometimes, but I feel better when I have action items and when I feel like I've actually worked through something, versus just kind of bitching about it.
Favorite sushi uh let's, if I were to do my favorite, my go-to sushi order, if I'm just going to get a couple rolls, I'll do a spicy tuna roll and a salmon avocado roll.
I don't like cucumber in my sushi.
I like cucumber, but I don't like cucumber in my sushi.
So if I can have, not cucumber,
I will opt for no cucumber.
Favorite Taylor Swift song right now?
A lot of Taylor questions.
You know, what I'm listening to right now is when I'm working.
I'll just pull up YouTube and I'll pick like a Taylor Swift mashup.
So I mean, there are so many on YouTube.
And there's a lot of really good ones.
And once you play one, it'll just queue up a whole playlist of others.
So I'm very into a remix.
I like a mashup of a bunch of songs.
Who do you want to win Dancing with the Stars?
Controversial opinion, but I'm glad Whitney's gone.
Good dancer?
Fine.
But I really strongly disliked her on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and I did not want to see her win the mirror ball trophy.
I'm going to root for Robert.
I think he's a he seems like a sweetie.
And so, yeah, I'll go.
I'll go team Robert.
And I think he's got a pretty good, good shot of winning the whole thing.
All right.
Last question.
Let's bring this home.
Go to easy because I can't cook.
Same.
Go to easy party app.
I need ideas.
OK, hear me out.
Well, I always do.
I always do a charcuterie board.
I never show up without a charcuterie board.
That's like one of my go-tos because it's so easy.
You don't have to cook.
You just assemble and you don't even have to do anything fancy.
People are happy to eat meats, cheeses, and bread and crackers.
My go-to.
If I am hosting or if I'm going somewhere, I will show up with a family-sized bag of Wavy Lay's potato chips and and a big bowl of onion dip.
Here's the thing about the onion dip.
I'll share my recipe with you.
One packet of the Lipton onion mix.
Yeah, not doing it myself.
And my trick is that I make it with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
So it's basically healthy.
So I will get the, I usually do like the Fie 2% plain Greek yogurt mix.
And I mix it up with the onion dip from the Lipton box, and it's wonderful.
Highly recommend.
Always a crowd pleaser.
Enjoy.
Did I say anything of value?
I feel like this is one of those where I don't love a lot of the things that I shared, like about divorce stuff about the GoFundMe.
I want you to know how grateful I am.
I want, like, I don't know.
This is why I stopped doing these episodes.
I questioned myself too much.
I'd rather just interview people.
So lesson learned Allie, go line up some guests.
Thank you for being here.
That's a wrap.
Thank you so much for being here for this episode of the Allie on the run show.
Might be another minute before I do another ask Allie, but if you enjoyed it, yay.
If you hated it, well, if you hated it, wow, you made it to the end.
So that's impressive.
Uh, Yeah, I guess it's nice to throw these in from time to time.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for your support.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Sending so much love to everyone in the Allie on the Run show community this week and always.
It goes without saying, but I will say it anyway.
I am so deeply grateful for and thankful for all of you.
You make what I do so rewarding, so much fun.
You're the best corner of the internet and in real life.
You make the guests here feel so welcome and loved and supported.
And I just love that we've created this place where I think we get to be our best selves.
We get to be supportive.
We get to be excited.
We get to be our authentic selves.
And I want it to be that forever, not just for me and not just for the guests, but for all of you as well.
So.
Thanks for being a part of it.
Love you.
Appreciate you.
Thank you to Lagoon for supporting this episode.

It will be over soon.
