So, this is a phrasal verb, to come down with, Yes, three words.
To come down with something.
I think I'm coming down with, cold it means I think I'm getting a cold we're talking about the the sickness to be to have a cold not to be cold hmm it's cold no not that cold you know Oh God I don't feel good I think I'm coming down with the cold this is a good expression are you coming down with something are you getting sick are you starting to feel sick are you feeling okay so you know for a lot of us most of us live in the northern hemisphere so it's summer for us but we do have a lot of listeners who live in the southern hemisphere in Brazil Chile in Australia maybe even parts of southern
Africa so how are you guys it's the winter down there are you guys feeling healthy is any is anybody coming down with anything these days are you feeling sick I hope you're doing okay yeah to come down with something is no fun.
Let's check out the dialogue.
You don't look too good.
I feel terrible. Are you coming down with the cold?
I think so. I'd better buy lots of vitamin C.
Yeah, that guy sounds pretty sick.
I think so. I'd better.

I don't know. Is that true?
If you take lots of vitamin C will that help prevent a person from catching a cold I hope so So to come down with something almost always means a cold or the flu.
It could be something else but 95 % of the time if you hear somebody say I'm coming down with something.
it means they're probably catching a cold.
So stay away from that person.
Wash your hands. Tell the person to get out of there, go take some cold medicine, don't spread the germs. No I'm just joking.
Be nice to the person, but don't be careful everybody, don't catch a cold.
I don't want any of you coming down with anything okay?
