Good morning and welcome to Kid News.
I'm Tori.
Today is Wednesday, October 15th, 2025.
And we begin with a family affair for the Milwaukee Bucks.
For the first time in NBA history, three brothers will play on the same team at the same time.
Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo are already rostered, and now they'll be joined by their younger brother, 24-year-old Alex.
Giannis is the middle child and the most famous, but has been the subject of trade rumors ever since the Bucks fell in the first round of the playoffs last season.
Sports analysts say having two of his siblings on the court with him may be what convinced him to stay put.
The Bucks' first game is October 22nd.
Say it isn't so.
A major North American airline just announced that it will soon start charging to recline your seat.
Canadian carrier WestJet, which USA Today reports serves 19 US states, the Washington DC area, Mexico and Puerto Rico, is getting rid of adjustable rows in standard economy for its refurbished Boeing 737-8 MAX and 737-800 planes.
In all, 43 aircraft will lose the recline option to help preserve personal space.
Still want to lean back?
You'll have to open your wallet a little wider to pay for extended comfort seats or the premium cabin.
The Florida Aquatic Park at the center of a killer whale controversy has closed its doors.
Lolita the orca lived at the Miami Seaquarium for 53 of her 57 years before she passed in 2023.
The facility was also the setting for Flipper, the 1960s TV show about a beloved bottlenose dolphin.
Many locals who turned out on the park's last day Sunday, waxed nostalgic to the New York Times about school field trips and childhood visits, while animal rights activists who oppose keeping animals in captivity celebrated the shutdown.
It's believed that the aquarium stars, like penguins Daisy, Blueberry and Tinker, will be sent to other parks, but that hasn't been confirmed.
A developer is revamping the location to be an aquarium and conservation center without animals.
Hey kids, do you know the headache you're giving your teachers with 6-7?
According to the Wall Street Journal, some educators are now going out of their way to avoid equations with the two numbers, or ask you to turn to page 67, or to break you into groups of 6 or 7.
Any mention of those digits?
Cara Bearden, who teaches 6th and 8th graders at Austin Peace Academy in Austin Texas, says results in 6'7 shouts and that telltale seesaw air juggling.
She likens the phrase to throwing catnip at cats.
But for all the teachers avoiding the numbers, others are going overboard, even saying it themselves in a bid to kill it with uncoolness.
It might be working.
Seventh grader Whit Bearden is growing weary of the constant interruptions.
I just silently go to my happy place, he told the journal.
Where is his happy place?
School before 6'7".
In today's Kid News Halloween Notes, have you any idea of what the It costume of the season is?
Of course you do.
It'll be one of the characters from Netflix hit series K-pop Demon Hunters.
According to Google searches Rumi, Zoey and Mira are the runaway favorites to Half Moon Bay California, and a gargantuan gourd that took this year's crown for portliest pumpkin.
EV engineer and gardening enthusiast, Brandon Dawson, clinched the title Monday with a jack-o'-lantern weighing 2346 pounds.
According to NBC Bay Area, Brandon says the precision skills acquired at his job helped him get the watering and sunlight just right.
And in Parma, Ohio, a massive runaway holiday decoration had police in pursuit.
Body cam footage shows the responding officer describing how someone's giant inflatable pumpkin tried to make a break for it, forcing him to chase it through a neighborhood.
On Facebook, the department confirmed the gourd was returned to its owner.
Joking that Cinderella's carriage did in fact turn back into a pumpkin sometime before midnight.
Still to come, it's never happened before, we'll tell you about a Billboard Hot 100 first.

WestJet will soon start charging its airline passengers to do what?
Reclined their seat.

In today's Kid News Kicker, if you're tired of hearing about Taylor Swift, plug your ears.
Her new album, Life of a Showgirl, now claims the top 12 spots on the latest Billboard Hot 100.
The Fate of Ophelia is number one, and she owns every slot right on down to Honey at number 12.
It's the first album that's ever placed all its songs on the list, uninterrupted from top to bottom.
Her Midnights and Tortured Poets releases also monopolized the top of the charts, but both of those had many more singles, some of which debuted lower on the list and not in consecutive order.
Before we go, we want to shout out our terrific Kid News teachers, Ms.
Nelson and her Vikings at Vanguard Charter in Wyoming, Michigan, Ms.
Pickett and her students at Mildred Osborne Charter in New Orleans Louisiana, and to California for Mrs Stevens and her Eagles at Barrington in Newman.
Mrs Gaspar and her pandas at Benchley Weinberger in San Diego and Mrs Utes and her knights at North Park in Valencia.
Thanks for listening.
