Taylor Swift, the queen of marketing magic, has a big plan for her new album.
Not only has she teamed up again with Target to sell exclusive editions of Life of a Showgirl, but the chain has also announced it'll host a midnight sale at 500 stores on October 3rd for an all-out blitz of a release.
Target says the stores won't close that evening.
Instead, they'll stay open past normal hours but wait until midnight to bring out the merchandise.
According to Variety, It's unheard of for a big box store to announce a late night event for one album, but this is Taylor, and if anyone's going to break the mold, it's apparently her.
Those not wanting to hang out in their pajamas can pre-order the special CDs on Target's website, which also has a list of the stores participating in the midnight sale.
