Starting today, EcoWave Power will officially turn on its wave-powered floats at the Port of Los Angeles, the first ever onshore wave energy project in the US.
As part of this pilot program, seven bright blue buoys will bob with the waves and push a system that converts motion into clean power, with the potential to expand and power up to 60000 homes someday.
These floats are special because they work even when the sun isn't shining or the wind isn't blowing, filling in where other energy sources lag.

Even though she says she knows better, she had mistakenly left the car unlocked after grabbing some items late the night before.
The uninvited passenger had opened up the center console and gobbled up all of the gummies, MMs and what was left of a milkshake.
Most remarkable of all, the creature didn't leave behind a single crumb leading her to call him the most considerate bear.
