Hello my name's Candin, I'm eight years old, I have tea creatures and my water question is, what if gnarwalls could fly and have flying jousting tournaments?
Can, and I love narwhal.
I want to thank you and your sister Pompeya and I also want to get one more question for you all.
This one's from a listener named charlotte and it involves mermaids, but I think it's best if we leave this question to the end.

We'll start your story right after a quick break.

Ed, Jim, as you're back.
Oh, you know. I hear you.
Leave the small talk behind because Disney and Pixar invite you on an out of this world adventure.
Who Olympics edition?
Oh, Pablo, they don't know what the hoop limits are!
Frankly, I don't know either.
Okay, hi, I'm Maemah Jim, A, your co -host. And we really wanted to have some sporting events in what a world.
Where people could properly social distance.
So we decided to do the hoop Olympics under the sea.
So everyone can wear masks and scuba gear.
And take turns competing one at a time.
I know sports look a little different these days.
And so do the hoolimpics, I don't know any of these people.
Mamajama and Papalu.
We're sitting in a booth together, far under the seat.
Each of them was wearing a pressure -eyes suit with a big globe over their heads so they could see all the action of the hoolimpics.
Papalu are interrupting Mr. Aric.
To remind him that we don't need a third announcer today.
Thank you very much. Oh, I'm sorry.
Is this one of those stories where I don't narrate?
Is the average shush?
This is a big opportunity for Pablo.
Now, we've got dozens of events taking place over the next several weeks, but today we're gonna focus on the three.
Flying just side and seat in of course ninja star throwing.
Now Pablo, would you mind telling the folks at home some of the events that they won't be seeing today?
Sure, yeah. a sure thing oh that's a sacred icelimbing and then there's uh ice hockey and the water ice hockey yeah all the puckers ice you gotta score before it floats to the can we don't talk about this right now i'm sorry i was just trying to give you a chance to show off all your knowledge well i haven't read about the rest of the event yet well i promise you folks i will when we when we of them.
You had the whole submarine ride to study, but instead, you took a nap.
All I'd to stay focused.
Well man, a jama and pouples.
What's up, folks? Work out whatever's happening in the booth.
I'm gonna tell you about something the announcers can't see.
And that's Mariah Carrin who's having a video call on her shell phone with her father, King whitein and her best friend, Cindy Crotad.
I think the Limpix are a great idea," said Mariah, seeing Cindy Criad ad nod along.
Oh, sure it's great to give people something to watch, but who's to stop one of these competitors from sneaking into a different event?
By wearing a costume or a mask?
Objected Kingwarden I don't know, that sounds really fun to me !" Said Cindy Criad ad, and people should get to compete in any event they can qualify for Dad.
Hah! Why bother? An octopus is always going to win in just our throwing, and a plankton's always going to win hide -and -seek.
And a gnar while is always going to - No, I disagree!
I think that's a silly tradition, and maybe the hula -impixel mean a little bit of change for the better.
I agree with Cindy.
Said Mariah, but she sounded kind of far away, and Cindy and King Whyton couldn't see her on the shell phone anymore.
daughter?! Where have you gone to?
The verse of Ence about to start!
I'm just working on my dinner, but I've got it on the eel division, so don't worry, I won't miss a thing.
King whiten and Cindy Krodad shrugged, and turned to watch their own eel divisions in their own homes.
A big electric eel rested on each of their walls, in a roughly ovular shape.
And when it lit up its electricity just so they could catch the broadcast from Papaloo Hey, mama, jama.
So let them joy our first whole limp -ic event.
I did seek. Oh, yeah, you know, so many unnecessary creatures are really good at camouflage.
And some of them are just plain microscopic, but no one hides from the judge's short gator forever.
No, that shacks gotta nose on him.
He can sniff you out anywhere in the galaxy.
Shark Gater slapped his tail fins over his eyes, and had his starting the countdown dead died ate Did I say it yet folks at all with important to remember that shark Gater is an extremely old O 'lly's prehistoric, but he may have the greatest nose under the sea, but he still does things on his own time.
9. O 'lly's counting back up.
O 'lly's funniest creatures, with the best camouflage under the sea, went in hid under rocks and shells within reefs.
Mr. Rarragh -Od, deal with the commentary here.
O 'lly's a zombie. in a cr deal or something.
I don't know, they're really tiny.
Yes, it's a tiny crab scuttling away too.
These in octopus changing colors to blend into the rocks.
And a giant lobster appears to be burying herself.
Well, it seems like too big of a lobster to compete in this event.
Oh, you've got to be a world -class hiding in order to qualify.
Sure, sure, but just look at the cloud of seed dust that's rising where the lobster hid.
This is St Dust, is that really what you calling?
I don't know. It's like a cloud, a sand in the air.
It looks like dust at me.
Two and a half. One.
Ready or not. Here I come.
And a surprise booth.
Shark Gator skipped both two and one and a half.
Trying to catch a hu -limping competitors off.
God, no doubt! But will it work?
Uh -oh. Shark Gater's sniffing towards the cloud of undersea dust. We really should work on a better term for that.
I find your lack of hiding place disturbing.
And with that, the lobster lady pops up.
She's coming in dead last. By way, that's not a lobster lady at all!
My goodness, Malajella you're right!
her red crustaceous tail has slipped off.
Teraville, what appears to be something a kid to a mum may instead have made, have a competitive hide and seek.
Not to my knowledge, no. These who Olympic events are truly something for their history books.
There she goes, swimming off, before the rest of her lobster disguise can fall.
Did you see that daughter a mirthook competing in hide in seek?
Home? Untraditional?
Mariah caring shook her head.
Well, she came in dead last, so I suppose she didn't prove anything.
Shh, the next event's gonna start.
Mariah, where'd you head off to?
Oh, I'm just using the restroom.
I can hear. The whole event don't worry.
Now, here is enough that that dates back to the Middle Ages.
Oh, but those now walled Josts were so unsafe.
Well that's why these narwas were heavily fortified armor and they corked their horns to boot.
Now Pappaloo, can these now walls actually fly, or is it that they just shooting away?
Way, way up in the sky and falling down?
Well they jost. Though it says here according to Canon's what -if question that these Darwall can't in fact fly.
They just can't fly for very long, so we'll half of the Jows takes place while they fall back down toward the sea.
Okay folks, get out ya binoculars.
Unless you're watching from home.
They're all watching from home, Emma, that's like the whole point of the hoo -libics.
Oh you. And off they go are two Jowsters.
Norman, Narwall are reigning champion.
And a presumably fresh -faced newcomer, although we can't see their face, cause they're wearing black night armour from head to toe!
And our walls are zoomin towards the surface at lightning speed.
Whoever's able to fly up the highest into the sky Has a big advantage in an aerial NAR wall, jost. Oh huge.
Uh oh! A black -know all night seems to be losing some of the low half of their armour.
Revealing a fishy fin, sort of like that of a queer person.
Ugh, you don't think it could be the man made from hide and seek.
I don't know. Traditionally, Merfolk have only competed in the karaoke portion of the competition, but these are the hoo -limpics.
Who knows what could happen?
And they're flying up into the sky.
Hi or at high are they go?
Oh but not so high for our moonlight!
Morpho can't fly as high as narwhals, that's for sure.
And as Norman narwhal to sins upon our Dark Knight… Mysterious knight is defending themselves, with a lance that looks a lot like a narwhalp too.
It must've been part of the disguise.
Oh, and there goes the lance...
And there goes the purpose.
Oh I can't imagine the judges are going to give them a very good rank.
I still think it's amazing that person must be one of the greatest mere folk swimmers and the whole ocean to even qualify for this event.
Folks at home what do you think?
Are you impressed by a mere person who can practically fly out of the water?
What do you think they've got no business josting with know -alls?
They've got no business josting with gnar -walls.
Exclaimed King -whiting and the old endays we would ride gnar -walls into battle.
Now we're losing to them in the hool -lympics, then embarrassment to all of them Earth oak.
Don't you agree, Mariah?
Aah! Yeah, they probably didn't have much of a chance.
Sigh. Side, Mariah caring.
I tell you what, you two have been a couple of old, funny deadys.
One of your own people, just did something that no more focus ever done.
And all you can do is complain.
Cindy Crott, had scolded the two more people.
Who did in fact look ashamed for a moment?
Alan Mint, I think the disguises are pretty cool.
Oh no, the disguises are the worst part for me.
Who does this merfolk think they are?
Some kind of mer ninja?
Well dad, I used to wanna be a mer ninja.
Ha ha ha! You are mer royalty.
And we mer people, aren't meant to be sneaking about like ninjas.
Oh, shh, king white and gambling.
You talk that way to your own daughter?
What way? I know what's best for my own daughter.
Daughter, where'd she go off to again?
Oh no, we're dad. I'm just dusting.
But don't worry. I can still see the next event.
Dusting. What has gotten into you?
What's gotten into me?
What's gotten into you?
I'm just excited for the next event.
I'd indeed our final competition for the day is about to commence.
Ninja's starfish throwing and here comes five time gold medal thrower Squidder Red last. Squidder Ella.
Can I please get it on our graph?
Oh, she's turned in towards the booth, I think she heard you.
Finally, some fringe benefits to this give.
And she threw a staffish on your face.
I've just had my brush with greatness.
I'll never wash this glass globe over my head again.
Can you see anything at all?
No. I certainly cannot.
Okay, well you work on that.
Various cephalopods from all over the ocean are taking turns picking up their stafish and toss at them.
And just starfish throwing his judge on three criteria, number of stafish thrown accuracy and a regionality– that's why it's always a squitter and octopus who wins.
Now people of Bank of Lightning this year though the starfish are weighted differently.
Oh they must have been eaten a lot of coral this year.
They're so fluffy and squishy lookin'.
Let's see if it affects Squutterella's performance.
Hot does it look like it.
She's thrown 80 C -stars.
Drag a picture of her own face.
Write around the bull's eye.
Did you just column C -stars?
Well, they technically aren't fish -a.
I was just... Mixin' things up.
Now I like it! Sea stars!
It's so glamorous. What kind of tentacle creature is this?
Well, the answer to that question is usually Ka -funko, but the, oh who is that?
Um, mysterious masked, cephalopod is picking up their starfish.
It's sea stars. Strangely they only picked up two sea stars.
An even stranger, it looks like they just have two arms With three tentacles attached by string to each arm Oh my goodness, that is no squid -uppus And there they go ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh Amazing, with only two arms They bet it's just throw 20 starfish Oh I see Stas spiraling out from the bulls I in a perfect swirly pattern.
I gotta say I don't think I've ever been so impressed.
I would knock to push just through a hundred stuffish right in the high cool around the bullseye.
I can throw starfish with pinpoint accuracy, I am the winner.
That's Janghok, Tay the Al octopus.
Sure to win the gold.
If not, the Nobel Prize for poetry.
Aw boy, our mysterious competitor appears frustrated.
Oh, they're ripping off their squid -a -puss costume.
Revealing a mermaid underneath.
You'd all think could it be?
That's a same mermaid.
And made? She's still wearing a ninja mask beneath her disguise, so there's no way to know who she might be.
And while a dozen other tentacled creatures competed and Ninja see Star throwing.
At the end of the day, it was Octavia, Squitterella, an armistereous mermaid.
For the last time, Mr. Arwick?
What did they do by job??
Huh? Mr. Arwick, you'd be so rude.
I'm so sorry. I was just trying to get us to the end.
Oh, he didn't say we that the end of the story.
It just happened to be saying those two words together.
Please don't ruin this for pepaloo.
I totally take it back.
Today you can see. I love a mama mama mama mama mama mama mama.
That the story is over when it happens to come to a conclusion.
Well, set, Mr. Eirick.
And as we predicted, Octavia fucked up us wins the gold.
Squid a relic walks away with silver, and defying all expectations.
Our first vertebrate competitor in this category wins the bronze.
Her family must be so proud.
I am so not proud of whoever that mermaid is.
What must her parents be thinking?
What if they're supportive?
Said Cindy Crawdad, clacking her pincers at King Wharton through the shell phone.
then I'm sure her parents are quite amazed.
No, I'm sure they're not.
Third place. And Mariah caring.
Plunked down in front of the shelf -on screen in a half.
Oh, Mariah, I think you've got something on your face.
Oh, it's just my mask.
Mariah? King lighten and Cindy crudad.
were staring at their shelfones wide eyed.
Maria was still wearing her ninja mask!
It was you. Said King Whitein and disbelief.
I've told you I always wanted to be a ninja.
Well, now you know I'm a failure.
I'm afraid that I have been a failure.
I should have supported you and seen why this was important.
gangs white and having a reconciliation scene over a shelfucan A very difficult manoeuve wait how are you two seeing this in part of introductory story or is this one bubble Okay okay Three hul stampig events Without your father or best friends us debating a thing What!
I actually suspected from in the very big ending that...
you know, I'm in a mermaid was appearing at the hu limb pics, every time Mariah suddenly stepped away from the screens.
When they cried at, dunking on King Wharton I mean really, he was pretty oblivious this whole story.
Are you saying I could be an ninja?
I'm saying you clearly already are a ninja and while Mariah caring didn't win any gold medals that day.
She -shh -shh -shh -shh -shh -she -shh...
oh, I hear it. Go ahead, Pablo, you -you got it.
And while Moriah caring didn't win any gold medals that day, she proved all the people under the sea, that mere people.
But all sea creatures really.
But they don't have to feel limited by traditions, or expectations.
I was gonna say it's just really hard to fly along where I garber.
I wasn't the point of this story.
Hoppalo. Maybe it's time to say ya, those two words.
of those two words.
No, remember the words, the two words that you didn't want Mr. Eric to say earlier.
Alright, right, right, Keep Wandering.
Oh boy .La la la la la la la.
The wandering, the wandering.
No, keep ending, that's it.
Alright Charlotte and Ken, and I hope you enjoyed your story, and let's play Charlotte's question for you real quick.
Be Charlotte and I like Mermaids and Unicorn then.
What if a Mermaid wasn't Ninja but no one else thought she could be a ninja?
Thank you, bye! Well, Mariah turned out to be an excellent ninja.
Pokes it home. The easiest way to help keep this show going is by just leaving a rating and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen.
I'd like to thank Karen O 'Keefe, my co -creator, Craig Martinzen for our theme song And all you kids at home who know that persistence is a lot more impressive than perfection.
Next time you work really hard at something I hope you can think back on it and feel good about yourself.
Ununtil we meet again, keep wondering.
