Jot down J-O-T. Down, D-O-W-N, your, Y-O-U-R, number, N-U-M-B-E-R.
Let me jot down your number. It means give me your phone number, but jot down does not mean give.
Give me. It means let me write down something. your phone number give me your phone number so i can write down the numbers That's what it means to jot down means to write something.
Did you jot down my name? Yes. Did you jot down my number?
Yes. Did you jot down today's expression?
Yes. It means you wrote it. On a piece of paper or something.
On a napkin or something. Okay, that's what it means.
So let me jot down your number. Please give me your phone number.
I want to write your phone number in my phone book.
That's the idea. Her phone number, 555-1212.
Very simple number. The guy says, got it.

Nowadays, you know... we have these security codes or these passwords every time you want to log in someplace.
And sometimes for me, because I'm an old guy, I'm not that old, but I'm kind of old.

Could you jot it down for me? It's a great expression.
