Number 1,129. We have a great expression today, but you need to know one word that you probably don't know.
I'm guessing the word is molasses, M-O-L-A-S-S-E-S.
Molasses. Now that's not a plural word, that is the word molasses.
And basically molasses is like a very heavy, thick water that is very sweet.
It's a very sweet, thick liquid molasses.
And we've got a great expression that we use, which has the word molasses.
And I'll teach you in a second.

Alright, so today's expression number 1,129 is as slow as molasses.

Well, almost. Oh, what's not perfect about it?
The drivers, they're slow as molasses.
It's true, many of you know, now I live in the country.
I live in the state of Vermont, V-E-R-M-O-N-T, very beautiful state, very nice state, and very country.
And where I live, it's in the middle of the country.
And I love it. It's quiet, it's peaceful, it's beautiful.
But one thing that is really common here, the drivers are really slow, they're very, very slow.
They are how slow are they?
They are as slow as molasses.
It takes forever. The speed limit is like 100 kilometers an hour, everybody's driving 75.
My son, Mikey, I love him, he's great.
But my son, Mikey is slow as molasses.
Hey Mikey, clean your room, it takes two hours.
Hey Mikey, put your shoes on, we need to go, it takes two hours.
Hey Mikey, here's your lunch, it takes two hours, everything takes two hours.
He is as slow as molasses.
It's a great expression and I'm going to assume you have molasses in your country.
So check your dictionary, M-O-L-A-S-S-E-S.
