Hello everybody, my name is Coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
Come on, let's master English.
Hello everybody, welcome back to Daily Easy English Expressions, the Bud Guest.
Today we have a great expression.
We actually studied the expression a few days ago but I want to re-emphasize this word
so that you never forget the word is gone to be gone, G-O-N-E.
All right, now that vowel sound for most Americans is an AW, aw, okay, so to be gone, to be gone.
She's gone out of my life. Not that gone, a different gone.
To be gone in this case refers exactly back to, was it EQB 1063?
Where my guns are gone?
It means I'm tired or to be tired.
In fact, to be more than tired, to be dead, to be dead, tired.
To have zero energy, you are gone.
Zero, zip, nothing, nada.
There's nothing there.
You're just a shell of a body.
Now you can be mentally gone, physically gone, emotionally gone, and even intellectually
gone.
You can be nutrient wise gone, English podcast wise gone, I don't know.
Anyway, especially mentally, physically, emotionally, and intellectually gone.
Check out the dialogue.
Hey Shane, watching TV.
Can I change the channel?
The what?
Are you okay?
Oh, yeah.
I'm gone, dude.
I'm so tired.
I'm gone, dude.
I'm so tired.
That's what happens.
When you're gone, you're just like, you can't think.
You just want to lay down.
Usually you want to sleep.
People are talking to you.
You can't hear them.
You're not feeling any emotions.
You're not thinking any thought except, this is a dangerous thing.
Sometimes we have to work while we're gone.
God forbid you have to drive while you're feeling gone.
Sometimes like for example, I have my two boys and I work a lot.
I work all day long and then at night my wife likes to have a little time on her own.
So I watch the boys and sometimes I'm so gone.
I don't know what they're doing and I need to watch them.
Usually they're jumping on me.
They're walking on me.
So I usually know where they are.
But sometimes the house will get very quiet and that's always dangerous.
If you have two boys in the house, that's dangerous.
But also if the house is quiet and I'm gone, I'm sleeping.
I'm really gone.
And that is not a good thing.
My wife yells at me when I do that.
I have to be careful.
But what can I do?
I'm gone.
I'm so tired.
If you give me five seconds on the couch, boom, I'm out of here.
I'm gone.
I'm sleeping.
I'm dead.
I'm dead.
What about you?
When's the last time?
Are you gone now?
You were gone now.
You would not be listening to this podcast.
When was the last time you were gone?
I'm curious.
All right, that's it guys.
You guys have a fantastic date and together let's master English.
