Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression.
Today's podcast is brought to you by these fantastic, lovely, generous people.
Thank you so much to Manegu Narita, Anton Novos kindnessov, Rainer Eitelgeorge and the Pronunciations for those three names was very difficult.
But this one is easy John Denton.
Thank you so much for becoming my Patron I'll tell you how to do that later on you guys are making My work possible.
Okay. Today's expression.
Oh, it's a great word. It's a word you need to know it is typo TYPO a typo a typo means a mistake a typing mistake, a spelling mistake.
So what's interesting, many Americans, when we write the word, your, your.
Sometimes we write Y -O -U -R, and sometimes we write Y -O -U apostrophe, R -E.
Now of course, these words are completely different, grammatically different, the spelling is different, the meaning is different, but we many, many, many times misspell the words.
How is that possible?
Are Americans stupid?
No, the pronunciation is the same.
That's what happens.
The pronunciation is the same, so in our mind we're just listening to the word, and our fingers type automatically and without checking, we many times make mistakes.
Thanks! That is a typo.
Be careful. Typos are not good.
Let's check out a dialogue.
Uh, thanks you? You made a typo.
Oh, thanks. Do you see any others?
Um...no. Looks good.
Sent! Thank you for your help.
That's right when sending a business letter be careful do not make typos.
typos will kill you, yeah it doesn't look good, it does not look good.
written English is very important to keep it as proper as possible and the silliest mistakes are the typos, the spelling mistakes.
Can you imagine sending in a resume or a CV to a company with spelling mistakes?
Oh my goodness no, no, no, no, no. Be careful of typos, don't make typos.
Me as an English coach do I make typos?

Yes, I do make a description But nobody looks at the description.
I don't think anybody looks at the description.
