Alright, great listening lessons and a speaking lesson.

So get that stuff. Today's expression is great, floored, F -L -O -O -R -E -D.
We do not say floored, we say floored.
Floored, that's a long O vowel with an R.
And we use it like this, to be floored, it means to be shocked, to be amazed.
Now it can be a positive situation, it could be a negative situation too.
If you see something wonderful, oh my God, I'm so floored!
If you see something terrible, oh my God, I was floored!
Yeah, that's the way to say it.
I was floored, this will floor you.
Yeah, it's a great expression, especially once again F -L -O -O -R -E -D.
He was floored, I was floored.
It's great. Once again, we can use it in the future, it will floor you.
Flooring? No, it was a flooring experience.
That's kind of weird.
So my recommendation, stick to the E -D.
I was floored, use it as a past participle, kind of functioning as an adjective in this case.
So we have a great dialogue, check it out.
Did you see coach Shane's new glasses?
I know, they're so nice!
He looks the same as John Lennon!
Exactly! I was floored when I saw him!
Yeah, actually I do have new glasses, they're not that new, I bought them a few months ago, but they're kind of new.
For YouTube watchers, they're definitely new, because I haven't been making videos in a long time.
Too busy, too many problems.
But yeah, I do have new glasses.
I do not look like John Lennon.
That's for sure. I don't know who I look like.
I look like coach Shane with big glasses, that's all it is.
But yeah, you see somebody and their appearance changes.
I was floored! It happens a lot, maybe people, maybe a woman puts on make -up and she looks completely different.
I was floored! Maybe somebody gets some plastic surgery, right?
And they have a really big butt or big boobs or big lips and you can say, I was floored!
It's totally unbelievable!
Now that can be scary, maybe some people like it too.
So it's a great expression, to be floored, to be shocked.
And why do we say floored?
Think about it. You are so shocked.
You are so amazing.
You kind of fall. You fall backwards.
Maybe you even faint.
And you completely out and you're laying on the floor.
You're lying on the floor.
That's the idea. I was floored.
It's a great expression.
I want you guys to try and use it.
And yeah, check out the dialogue two more times.
