Hello everybody. My name is Coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
Come on. Let's master English.
Hello everybody. Welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression the Podcast.
So today we have a great adjective and we use this adjective to describe people who have a very difficult time making a decision.
The don't be wishy washy.
Make a decision. Tell me wishy washy.
W -I -S -H -Y. Wishy washy.
Now this word has nothing to do with wish or wash.
It's a word that sounds like you go this way or that way.
Wish, wash, wish, wash.
This way or that way.
Should I take a right turn or a left turn?
Should I say yes or no?
Should we do this project?
Should we not do this project?
Should, should, should, should, should, should, when you can't make a decision or worse when your boss or your husband, your wife, your teacher, when they can't make a decision, we can describe that person as wishy washy but be careful.
Why be careful? I'll tell you after you check out the dialogue.
Are you going to make more videos after 1000?
Oh, there are so many expressions to learn.
So are you going to make more videos?
All my videos include great expressions, huh?
So? So let's learn together.
You're too wishy washy.
Answer the question.
The question was, hey, coach Shane, are you going to make more e -cubed videos after e -cube number 1000?
And of course, the answer was yes.
Yes. We just put up another video on Monday.
Yes, we will continue to make videos.
Don't worry. I'll continue to make videos for probably a couple more years.
I mean, yeah, we're doing, we're trying to do one a week.
But yeah, sorry to be so wishy washy.
I'm sorry, I didn't give you a good, strong answer.
I'm sorry. I was hesitant.
I sounded weak. I was unable to tell you yes or no.
I was indecisive. I'm sorry.
Now I warned you, I said, be careful.
This expression is it's not a bad word.
However, if I told you, let's say you are my boss.
And I said, boss, you're being wishy washy.
Ooh, that's probably not a good idea.
So this is an expression you could use to your friend or your co worker, or maybe to somebody below you.
But be careful using it to someone above you.
They might get a little bit angry if you said this word.
Okay, did you say I was wishy washy?
You're fired. Yeah, that was a very strong decision.
And it's not good for you, right?
