Today's expression is to stock up. on something to stock up on something S-T-O-C-K, stock up, U-P.
To stock up. on something. So we have a phrasal verb, stock up.
And almost always we have on attached to it and then a noun.
To stock up on Coca-Cola. To stock up on cigarettes.
To stock up on cookies. Actually, yesterday, I went to the store...
And I stocked up on cat food. What does this mean to stock up on something? on something means to buy a lot of something. to buy a huge amount of something.
So normally, when I buy cat food, I just get one small bag.
However, the place where I get cat food is located there.
Very far from my house. About 8 kilometers.
And I don't have a car. So my dad took me.
Thank you very much, dad. And because he's very busy, I cannot ask my dad. to take me every time I need cat food, so I bought a lot of cat food.

Somebody who hates to go shopping. It's best... to stock up on things when you go.
