To take apart. To take apart.
Wait a second. The last podcast we learned ah no, no, no, no.
The last podcast, we learned to take part and this podcast number 862 we learned to take apart.
Okay. so take is the same t -a -k -e but not p -a -r -t part apart a p -a -r -t To take apart has two common meanings and the easy definition is to Disassemble to disassemble so for example if I am moving from one house to another house, and if I have a big kitchen table, a long table with four legs, it's easier to move the table if I take it apart.
If I remove the legs, one, two, three, four, four different legs, and then the table, if I take it apart I can move it easily.
And then I disassemble the table and then when I move to the other house I reassemble.
In this case, to take apart the opposite would be to put back together, okay.
But anyway, today just focus on to take apart.
Now, the other definition of to take apart would be to analyze, to analyze someone.
Let's take apart coach Shane.
Let's analyze him. Is he really a happy person?
Which country is he really from?
Is he actually a psycho?
Is he crazy? Is he actually from the North Pole is he an elf is he human is he a Martian?
Yeah, kind of silly, but that's the idea to analyze someone or something Okay, and you'll see examples Especially if you watch TV shows yeah, but anyway, we're gonna focus on the first and most common definition to take a part to disassemble check out the dialogue ah who took apart my bike I did why why did you take apart every little piece oh you asked me to wash it oh that's too bad You know what?
When I was a little kid, one of the things I really enjoyed doing was taking apart my bike.
Yeah, taking off the pedals, taking off the wheels, taking off the brakes, doing things like that.
Now the problem was, I was really good at taking apart my bike, I was really horrible at taking apart my bike, but I was really horrible at taking apart my bike, at putting it back together.
So whenever my dad saw me taking apart my bike or taking apart my radio, he would get really angry at me because he knew that I was not skilled at putting it back together and he would have to do it.
Or we'd have to take it to the bike shop.
Yep, some people are really good at taking things apart and putting them together.
Now I'm older, I'm much better.
I can take something apart and put it back together.
But when I was young, I was not very good.
