Hello everybody, my name is Coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions!
Come on, let's master English!
Hello everybody, welcome back to daily easy English Expressions!
The Podcast! Okay, so today's expression is really good but it's kind of difficult to use.
The expression is everybody whatsoever.
Yeah, it's just one word whatsoever.
So, for example, I don't like you whatsoever.
Does that sound good or bad?
And it's pretty bad.
I don't like you whatsoever.
W -H -A -T -S -O -E -V -E -R.
That's one word. Spelling again.
W -H -A -T -S -O -E -V -E -R, whatsoever.
Instead of whatsoever, we can also say at all.
Two words, at all. I don't like you whatsoever.
I don't like you at all Now what does this mean whatsoever or at all?
It means in any amount So I don't like you Whatsoever.
I don't like you at all.
I don't like you zero.
I hate you Mm -hmm. It's pretty tough I I have no money whatsoever.
I have no money whatsoever.
I have no money at all.
I don't have any money, zero money.
Not even one cent. Now when you hear the word whatsoever, you're probably going to hear no or not.
And sometimes you'll hear the word any a n y meaning without Okay yeah, it's a really good word at all is also a really excellent expression and It's not always mean stuff.
I don't have I don't like you whatsoever.
That's kind of mean.
I don't have any money Whatsoever.
That's true. I don't have any time whatsoever That's true.
If you have any problems whatsoever, you can ask.
Now that's a tricky one.
If you have any problems whatsoever, to any degree, a little tiny problem or a huge problem, it doesn't matter.
Ah yeah, so when we use no and not with whatsoever, it's not so difficult, but when we use any with whatsoever then it starts to get more confusing.
So how do you learn this stuff?
How do you learn how to use these English expressions?
How to understand these English expressions?
The easiest way and the best way is to learn through real life.
In real life conversations, in in real life situations?
And where can you do that?
