Oh, I love it. This is perfect weather for me.
Outside it's sunny.
Yesterday was the solar eclipse.
for two hours we were live live on Periscope, live on Facebook, live on YouTube, and live on LME today .com, we were live to celebrate to watch the solar eclipse that happened in the United States, but of course where I live it was completely cloudy.
Yeah, it did get dark.
It did get dark, but we didn't see the moon actually covering the sun.
So that was a little bit disappointing, but we had a great time.
And I want to thank again.
Thank you to all of you who joined me yesterday and hung out together.
Some of you for the whole time, two hours.
It was fun. We listened to lots of songs and answered a couple of questions.
Okay, today's expression is very good.
Are you a regular person?
You know, just, you know, a regular guy, a regular girl, nothing too special, just normal.
Is that you? That's me.
I'm an English teacher, an English coach.
I like the country, but I'm just a regular guy.
I am an average Joe, just a regular guy, an ordinary guy, just me.
For guys, a regular guy, we call them average Joe we can also say a regular Joe or an ordinary Joe but an average Joe spelling a V E R a g e average average and average Joe j -o -e with a big J that's what we call regular guys and what about the ladies well we have an expression for the ladies too.
A plane Jane, a plane Jane, P L A I N plain regular ordinary Jane, J A N E, and of course that is a big J.
So he's a regular guy, oh, she's a regular woman oh he's an average Joe oh she's a plane Jane check out the dialogue how did Ryan become so powerful oh it's a mystery he's always been just an average Joe I know does he have lots of money no he's just as poor as you and me 3.
An average Joe It's a good expression and you and I most likely we're all just regular average Joe's.
But what kind of people are not average Joe's?
Yeah well I guess our image would be powerful people and rich people like for example, Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg or Hillary Clinton Or Donald Trump Barack Obama and obviously these guys are all Americans But are those people?
average Joe's and plain Jane's and Most of you including me would say no.
No those people are different.
Those people are elite Elite and do elite people understand the life of an average Joe?
Do elite people understand what it's like being a plain Jane?
I don't think so. I don't think I don't think they do.
They might remember maybe some of them started you know like an average Joe or a plain Jane, but once you're elite for a long time I think you forget.
You start to forget you lose that connection with the average Joe and the plain Jane.
And that's why we hate, that many of us hate the politicians and the elite, at the same time we love them right?
Yeah, that's pretty strange.
I guess the average Joe and the plain Jane, now we're good people, we're hard working people but sometimes we don't know when to love and when to hate alright I'm just an average Joe are you are you an average Joe are you a plain Jane well anyway whatever you are I don't care you can be elite for all I care you can be really a horrible person no I don't want horrible people listening just just really really elite and then the average Joe's in the plain Jane's please if If you are elite, please send Cote Shane lots of money so he can join you.
