Hello, everybody. My name is Coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
Come on, let's master English.
Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Daily Easy English Expressions.
I missed you. Yes, I missed you.
This week I had some adjustments in my schedule and and I had to also move my office a little bit.
I got something called a Focusrite, which is for my audio production.
Anyway, I wasn't able to make the podcast and I apologize.
Also, I need to tell you, there is a sale on DDM VIP for new people, for new students, but it's a huge sale, and part that sale ends today.
It finishes today. Okay, so if you are thinking about joining DDM VIP, send us an email by today, oops no, no, no.
ddm at LetsMasterEnglish .com.
My goodness. Yeah, ddm at LetsMasterEnglish .com.
Send an email, tell us you want to join, ask us any questions, and we will help you out.
The sale continues into next week but Today is the end of a massive sale, incredible, crazy sale.
Send us an email. OK, today's expression is to lose touch or to lose contact.
If you lose touch, if you lose contact with someone, that means you would talk to the You would write letters, you would text each other, you would email each other, you would communicate.
But for some reason, for a long period of time, the communication ended.
Maybe you moved to a different city, maybe you changed jobs, maybe you graduated from school.
So when we do that, when we have these big life changes, we lose touch with some of our friends, we lose contact with some of the people we used to be close to.
Check out the dialog.
oh you got email from Eric.
Eric? Who's Eric? Your best friend from high school.
Oh yeah! Wow we lost touch years ago!
Yeah I've lost contact with nearly every one too.
That's true for me, from high school, yeah I've lost contact with everybody, even in Korea.
You know, I've been back in the United States for a couple of years and I've pretty much lost contact with everybody.
I have some students, some of my students from Korea are still my students in DDM, which is really great.
great. I love that.
But yeah, basically I've lost contact with a lot of people but you know that's me.
I'm not really a contact person, you know.
I'm just, I'm all alone and I like it.
Yeah, family is important but when it comes to friends from you know a long time ago, I lost touch with all of them.
lost touch lost contact what about you do you still have all your friends I think it's really cool when somebody says oh yeah he's my friend from high school or he's my friend from elementary school whoa that's so cool that's something that I don't have I don't really miss it but when I hear about it I think it's really cool I guess maybe as you get older is it more important or you're less important.
I wonder, what do you think?
As you get older, maintaining your contact with old friends, is it more important or less important?
You guys let me know.
You guys have a fantastic day too and I will be back again tomorrow and together, let's master English.
