But it could also mean to escape some sort of group activity or even for example, the company party.
Yeah, sometimes the boss wants to have a party.
Everybody has to go and you know, Shane he shows up he's there but 10 minutes later where is coat Shane Oh he flew the coop he left but the nuance is he escaped check out the dialogue Where's Shane?

I think that's why.
I remember many times in Korea my boss would have every month he would have a you know a get -together we'd have chicken and beer and then then he would talk to people one to one and basically he would complain you need to do your job you need to focus on this you need to do this and I would always go to the but before the chicken was even served, I would fly the coop, I would leave, I would take off, I didn't want to hear it.
It was a waste of my time.

That's not good. We want our chickens to stay in the coop.
We want our people to stay together.
