Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Daily Easy English Expressions the Podcast.
Alright, it's Monday for me.
I know for many of you it's Tuesday.
I hope you had a nice weekend this past weekend in the US was a holiday a three -day weekend we celebrated Labor Day this past Monday and most of the world is on May 1st that's international workers day in America we also have Labor Day which is the first Monday of September it is also the official final weekend of summer so Lots of people were outside enjoying the weather, picnicking, having barbecues, eating too much and that's a problem.
Because the children, if they're eating too much or if they eat too much candy, if they play too much, what happens?
They become today's expression.
It's actually a word.
They become nauseous.
Nauseous. Nauseous.
This word also is pronounced nauseous.
Nauseous and nauseous.
Both pronunciation are common.
Nauseous. Nauseous.
The spelling is n -a -u -s -e -o -u -s.
One more time. N -a -u -na -s -e -o -u -s -shies.
Nauseous. This is a very useful word and I'll explain exactly what it means after you check out the dialog.
Are you okay? I'm feeling a bit nauseous...
Have you thrown up?
No, but I think I might.
If you feel nauseous, it means your stomach isn't feeling good.
and you might want to vomit or Throw up that's the idea So the contents in your stomach if you want to get rid of those Then you might be feeling nauseous now many times people feel Nauseous, but they don't throw up.
They don't vomit that feeling just continues and it's really miserable Uniserable ladies, I think you know what I mean, especially if you have been pregnant Then I'm sure you've experienced feeling nauseous or nauseous Yeah, and of course once again especially kids Children in the summertime when they eat too much candy They eat too much barbecue food and they're outside running around running around on the hot Sun Yeah, you can feel nauseous.
Oh boy I hope that you did not have nauseous weekend and unfortunately in the future there will be a chance when you do feel nauseous, stay healthy, stay as healthy as possible and remember even your nauseous feeling eventually will go away especially if you study English.
