Hello, everybody. My name is Coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
You and me, every day.
Come on, let's master English!
Hello everybody, welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression the Podcast. Oh where, oh where has my podcast been?
Oh where, oh where was it?
The podcast was sick no it wasn't sick, it was overwhelmed.
you would not believe how busy I was.
I know it's such a terrible excuse, but I'm not joking, amazingly busy.
Yeah, since my trip to Chicago and then back and now I'm preparing to go again, I'm nervous man, it took a lot of time, a lot of energy, a lot of stress, and then I got so much email, unbelievable.
So much work, but hey, I'm back and I promise for the next couple weeks.
I'll keep this up I may need to take another break.
I hope not but I promise once I move and get settled We have a a special podcast that will be coming and I'm really excited about that But I'll tell you about that in sometime in February Okay.
Today's expression.
Oh, long time, long time.
Today's expression is a good one.
It is lean on me, lean on me.
There's a song lean on me when you're not strong, I'll be you're there, whoops.
I'll be your friend, someone to care.
I don't know what the song is, but anyway, look it up.
Lean on L -E -A -N -O -N -M -E, lean on me.
It's a great expression and it means rely on me.
If you are having a problem, if you are feeling weak, if you are worried, if you are sad, if you're angry, if you're disappointed, come to me, come to me.
I'll I'll give you energy, I'll hold you, I'll be there for you, I'll hold your hand, I'll listen to you, I'll be there for you.
When you're not strong, lean on me.
It's a great expression.
The song's really pretty, too.
Check out the dialogue.
Aw, I'm so nervous, I'm moving to another city.
Well, lean on me, I'm there for you.
Oh, I really appreciate it.
Hey, that's what friends are for.
That's me. That's my situation.
I'll be moving to another city across so many states, and yeah, I'm nervous.
I'm scared. I'll be all alone.
Mom and Dad are here.
I'll be leaving them.
I got nobody. I got nobody.
Who can I lean on? Can I lean on you?
will you help me? Well I wish, seriously, and where I'm moving, there's nobody, nobody that I know.
The closest relative is actually not that bad, about four, five hours away.
My closest friend from high school is about seven hours away.
That's pretty good.
Right now it's like over 30 hours away, So I'll be getting closer to my home.
And that's really nice.
But yeah, I have nobody to lean on.
So that's why I'm using a moving company.
I'll be leaning on those boys.
Those boys are gonna be carrying my desks and my books.
And yeah. I'll be okay, though.
Emotionally, I will not need to lean on anyone.
So think about this.
When you're sad or depressed or angry about something, who can you lean on?
Who can you go to for comfort?
Who can you go to that will always be thinking of you?
Who is that person you can lean on?
When it comes to English, for my students, my DDM and my perf students, absolutely they can lean on me.
They can come to me with their questions, their concerns, their worries.
I'll do my best to help them.
If I can't we've got Miguel, Clive, Matt, they can help too.
So the whole DDM team, we're here for you, DDM and perf, you can lean on us.
For the podcasts and for my other videos on YouTube, hey, you can always come and lean on the community.
We're here for you.
If I can answer your question, I will, but somebody else is always around looking out and is ready to help.
