What is a nail biter?
Ah, a nail biter. N -A -I -L -B -I -T -E -R.
N -A -I -L -B -I -T -E -R. Now we use this expression almost always to describe a game, a sports game.
Sometimes a movie, sometimes a book, sometimes a movie, sometimes when you're waiting for the outcome, the result of something.
So maybe you are waiting for the results of an exam at school.
This is the idea, a nail biter.
So think about it. Think about the situation maybe not you but think about other people they're watching a game or they're waiting for their results from a test Are we pregnant or not honey?
I don't know let's wait for the pregnancy test. So we are waiting and waiting and waiting were very very very very nervous and some people when they are nervous What do they do?
They bite their nails their fingernails.
Yeah, some people bite their fingernails when they're nervous and that's the idea.
If something was or is a nail biter, it's a very exciting game that you're not sure if you're win or lose or you're waiting for the results of a very important test. It could be a medical test, it could be a test at school and you're not sure if you passed or failed a nail biter.
It's an excellent expression, check out the dialogue.
