Hello, everybody. My name is Coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions.
You and me every day.
Come on. Let's master English.
Hello, everybody. Welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression.
Yeah, the podcast. Boy, I'm tired.
How are you doing today?
Me? I'm doing okay.
It's a long weekend for me, though.
Lots of live classes, lots of videos to shoot.
So, actually, I'm starting to crash.
What? Oh, I'm starting to crash.
It's a great expression, crash.
That's today's expression, everybody.
C -R -A -S -H. Crash. Crash means to get really tired.
To almost be falling asleep.
your energy. You know 10 minutes ago your energy was okay, and suddenly you your energy is just disappearing really fast. 10 minutes ago you were awake, you could concentrate, you could work, and then suddenly boom you're you're almost asleep.
This is really dangerous if you're you know if you're doing something serious if you're working, if you're driving oh my goodness be careful do not crash get the rest you need let's check out a dialogue oh I'm starting to crash how long have you been working I've been working since 6 a .m. 15 hours yeah you need to get some rest bud Yeah, 15 hours if you've been working 15 hours, you need to get some rest. Me today.
What my day started today.
Let's see at I want to say 10am.
Yeah, 10am I had a live class.
So I got up I got up pretty late I got up about nine.
Yeah, around nine 915 and I started working at 10 and I kept working through the afternoon.
I took a walk. I went hiking for about an hour and then I came back and worked and then I exercised for another hour and then I worked until now it's 1218 in the morning, so 14 hours 12 hours of work not all constant work, but yeah, it's a long day.
I'm feeling okay though I'm not about to crash today.
I do feel okay I guess at the end of the day, I just opened a beer.
I'm feeling okay. But how are you doing?
Are you starting to crash?
What about during the week?
Monday, we're always tired.
Tuesday, we feel pretty good.
Wednesday, we're feeling okay.
Thursday, a lot of people start to crash.
Maybe Wednesday, Thursday for sure.
A lot of people start to crash.
And then Friday, we feel good again.
It's true. once again be careful if you're driving you know after not enough sleep and you feel like you're starting to crash please stop the car stop the car pull over get some sleep 10 minutes 20 minutes sleep do it don't don't don't get into a real crash CR ASH you know we talked about a crash a car crash when two cars collide or when a car hits a tree very dangerous very you know you could die in a real crash, in a car crash.
But if your body's crashing, it means it's really tired, and it's exhausted.
And if you're physically starting to crash, get some rest. That's the best thing.
And when you get good rest, you wake up, you're going to feel really good.
Don't crash today guys, it's Sunday.
I guess if it's your day off, go ahead and crash all day.
Feel free to crash, but come Monday come here starting the beginning of the week Be strong.
Have a great week everybody.
I'll give you another podcast even though it's my day off tomorrow I'll give you another podcast tomorrow together.
