Today's expression sounds delicious, but it's not.

Hmm, beef. Beef, B -E -E -F.
Beef means meat from a cow, right?
Yeah, beef. I like beef, I like steaks, I like hamburgers, I like roasts, I like stew.
Oh, I love beef. So you want a beef?
Does that mean you do want some meat?
No no no no no. Beef, B -E -E -F, as meat, as cow meat, Meat is an uncountable noun.
So we cannot say a beef.
We can't. When we talk about meat, we do not say a beef.
We can say a piece of beef, but not a beef.
So I got a beef with you, do you want a beef, do you have a beef?
What does this mean?
It doesn't mean meat, it means anger.
You wanna fight, I got a beef.
I'm really angry I'm really angry I'm really angry I got a beef I have a complaint you want to beef you want to fight you want a problem do you want to fight with me I got a beef with you I have a problem with you you did something wrong to me we need to talk we need to fight now sometimes it can mean fight like fight but usually you're just angry maybe you want to have an argument or and there was a misunderstanding and you need to make sure the person doesn't make that mistake again.

Uh -huh, uh -huh. Anyway, it's your property and other people should not just touch your property.
They should ask, right?
So if somebody uses something that belongs to you and it makes you angry, then you legitimately have a beef with that person.
You got a beef. There's a problem, that person did something wrong, and you need to tell that person.
Maybe you need to yell at that person, you're angry!
I want you guys to think of examples of when you have had a beef with somebody.
