Today's expression is to dump on someone.
Okay, now be careful we've studied the word dump many many times, many different definitions, but to dump on someone is an interesting expression.
It means to tell somebody all of your problems, all of your worries, all of your fears, all your regrets everything to dump all of your emotional thoughts onto another person so I don't know me I'm sorry I don't like it when people dump on me when they say oh Shane it's so nice to see you oh hey how are you doing what's Oh, what's new?
Well, my girlfriend left me.
I cannot tell you how lonely I feel.
It's like I don't want to live anymore and I don't want to go to work and...
Oh, come on, stop, stop, stop, stop.
That's too bad. Yep, but it happens.
Maybe it was your fault.
Maybe it was her fault.
It happens. Forget about it.
Move on. Yeah, I know it's not very nice to say that but that's just me.
I Don't like it when people dump on me.
I mean if something bad happened, you can tell me and I'll give you You know some empathy some sympathy, but I'm sorry.
I'm not a I'm not a psychiatrist. I don't know how to deal with your problems and I have enough of my own problems I Don't want to dump on you.
Yeah, I don't want you guys to dump on me no, no, if you got problems, you need to talk to somebody absolutely and Yes, of course.
There are some people I will listen to and I will spend time with I don't mind it But not everybody and I'm sure you are the same way some people, yes.
You have the time to listen to them.
To try to help them.
They can dump on you.
But not everybody! Let's check out the dialogue.

I'm busy. What? But you're my boyfriend!
Yeah, right. I'm your boyfriend, not your psychiatrist. oh boy yeah if I had a girlfriend and I said that to her, I think I would not have a girlfriend anymore.
I would be single. Yeah, I'm sorry, guys, ladies, if you have a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a husband or a wife, that means you will allow your other person to dump on you.
That's part of the responsibility.
In my opinion, yeah, I don't know, maybe you have a different definition.
But, if you're in a relationship, yeah, then you have to be ready to be dumped on.
I know even though you're married, it's sometimes not easy to be dumped on.
But hey, you got married, you made the decision, you better accept it.
Uh, yeah. You know, in the future, if I dump on you guys, just stop the podcast. That's okay, you can just...
The next day, I'll be fine.
Everybody needs to dump their feelings on somebody sometimes, right?
Well, not me, but almost everybody.
