So something is in its infancy.
In its infancy. Infancy.
I -N -F -A -N -C -Y. Infancy, that means the period of time when you were a baby.
So I was born in Texas in the United States and I live there for three months and then I moved well my mom obviously moved to Wisconsin and I grew up in Wisconsin so I spent part of my infancy in Texas and then the rest of my infancy with mom and dad in Wisconsin so did you grow up in the same town in the same state in the country?
Did you spend your infancy in the same place?
Where? Think about it.
Where did you spend your infancy?
If it's the same town maybe you can think about the neighborhood or the city.
Yeah. But this expression we don't usually think about babies.
We think about businesses or science projects.
Something like that.
So I have a plan to be the Internet's most famous English teacher But my plan is in its infancy.
It's just a baby plan.
It's not really doing anything It's still growing.
The plan is still growing.

Yes, especially when talking about companies, my company is still in its infancy.
It's still a baby, it's still growing, it still has a lot to learn.
They haven't even broke even.
Oh, we studied that expression yesterday to break even.
Maybe in six months.
So, right Right now, as all of you know I'm teaching online so it's a business and believe me, my online business is still in its infancy, but who knows, I'm hoping, let's see this is 2015 already, my goodness.
So maybe by 2017, maybe 2018, two three years later, hopefully then my company will be solid, good, strong, and doing well, I hope.
How is your English?
Well, if you ask me, if you are listening to this podcast, your English is no longer in its infancy.
It's growing quickly.
It's doing very well.
It's successful. But are you studying something else, maybe a different language?
Something like that.
Me, I'm studying a new software, video editing software, and it's still in its infancy.
I'm still really basic.
There's so much to learn.
It's not easy. It is not easy, that's for sure.
To be in its infancy, to be just a baby.
Still growing. This is a great expression for a plan, for a company, for an idea.
