Hello, everybody. My name is coach Shane and welcome to Easy English Expressions.

Come on! Let's master English.
Hello, everybody. Everybody welcome back to Daily Easy English Expression.
Oh yeah, the podcast. Thank you so much for listening to the podcast for taking the time out of your busy day to learn English, to practice your English, to master English with me.
Thank you so much. I sincerely appreciate it.
I do have to say a special thank you to four new patrons, new sponsors, new investors, and I'll talk about them at the end of the podcast. Today's expression, it's simple, it's a noun, it's something that you are, I mean, you are not, I am.
Oh, we all are. A crook.
A crook. He's a crook.
Are you a crook? Don't be a crook.
A crook, C -R -O -O -K.
All right, pronunciation.
Not a crook. You are a crook.
No, no, crook. Crook, crook, crook.
A crook is somebody who steals something.
Yep, that's what it is.
A crook is somebody who steals something.
Are you a crook? Of course not.
I know. I know you're a perfect person.
You have never stolen anything in your life.
But I have a question.
If we go to your house and we look at your desk, perhaps in your desk drawer, and I'm guessing you might have a few pens, or pencils?
Did you really buy all those pens and pencils, rubber bands, paper clips, post -it notes?
Oh boy that is such an easy thing to You steal.
You go to the bank.
You go to the store.
You know, you sign your receipt, your credit card bill, and without thinking, you take the pen.
And now you have a new pen.
You stole it! You are a crook.
No, being a crook is not a good thing.
But, to be honest, sometimes we are all crooks.
And I'll be honest, when I go to my mom's house, I'm a crook.
If there's something I like, I take it.
So, Mom, if you're listening to this podcast, if you're missing something, now you know.
Your son has it. Let's check out the dialogue.
Huh? Is that my book?
Oh, yeah, I'm just borrowing it.
Is that my pen? Uh, yeah, I needed that too.
You're a crook! That's me.
Umm, I don't know. Nowadays people listen to MP3's, but do you remember the music CDs or the movies?
You know, DVDs? DVDs?
Be honest, do you have some CDs or DVDs that are actually your friends or your brothers or something and you're supposed to give it back but you still have it?
You're a crook. Did you ever take something from your brother, your sister, your mom, your dad, your husband, your wife?
Your brother or whatever?
and you didn't ask but you just took it to use just for a second but then you still you still have it yeah a book a pen you're a crook yeah are you a crook look around look around make sure everything you see that belongs to you actually belongs to you what about one of your friends do you have a friend that's a crook.
Yeah, most of us, we're good people.
We're accidental crooks.
It's not intentional.
Or sometimes it's intentional.
But really, we will return it one day.
Right? There you go.
A crook. It's a great expression.
Daily English, have fun with it.
Be careful though, at the office if you say, you're a crook.
The person might get angry.
Yeah, so be nice. say it with a smile.
or, don't say it at all.
Be careful, it is a - it can be a strong word!
Check out the dialogue 2 more times, and then, I've got a couple thank yous!
Huh? Is that my book?!
Oh, yeah. I'm just borrowing it.
Ha... Is that my pen?!
Uh, yeah! I needed that too.
You're a crook! Huh?

But Patreon is where a lot of people are going.
So www .patreon .com slash coatshane.
I'll give you the address again later.
That's where you can go.
All it takes is one dollar a month.
A dollar a month, if you can...
If you think your English education is worth a dollar for a month, If you think my videos and podcasts are worth a dollar a month, then please sign up.
Help me out. I sincerely appreciate it.
A dollar might not seem like much to you, but if I get, you know, 5 ,000 people donating a dollar a month, that's pretty good.
that will definitely allow me to hire somebody, to help me create videos and podcasts and that's what I wanna do.
So many things to do but I do need your help and so it's like this, yes you're giving me money but you don't have to think like that.
You can think like that if you want.
You're investing in your education and the more people that invest, the better education I can provide and I'm excited and so happy to do it.
It's my honor. So once again it takes a dollar, but some people invest even more.
There is no maximum, I mean, actually, yeah, there is no maximum, but the more you can give, the more I can provide.
And we do have a situation, a thing where if you invest $15, you get a free speaking lesson.
If you invest $30 a month, you can sign up for either perf or DDM lite, so you get a bunch of lessons.
So, you know, I do have these bonuses for you too.
And I got a couple of people I need to thank.
So first of all, I'm gonna try the pronunciation here.
