Whoa, Mindy, did you turn your gingerbread mansion into a library?
You know I did, Guy Raz.
Wow, this is amazing.
I don't even know where to begin.
Biographies, historical biographies.
Wait, what was that? in my library, Guy Raz?
That's Roberta, the new librarian.
Mindy, why in the wow would you hire a snake as a librarian?
Because my last librarian was too afraid to shush me when I was getting too loud.
So you thought that you should hire a snake instead?
Snakes are the best shushers on the planet.
Well, how are we going to do the game show if we can't talk above a whisper?
Uh, hey, Roberta, why don't you, uh, why don't you take a lunch break?

And we're rolling!

And now for everyone's second favorite game show after drum solo or just some nervous energy it's Two, Once and a Roll.
It's time for another exciting edition of Two What's and a Wow.
Two What's and a Wow.
The scientific game show that separates the wows from the what's.
Now, before we start today's round, let's review where we left you yesterday.
We gave you three scientific facts about sweat and challenged you to guess which one was the one true, wow.
Was it A, hippo sweat is actually purple?
Or was it B?
Every person's sweat smells and tastes different.
Or was it C?
Horses sweat exclusively through their noses.
And to answer yesterday's question, joining us by phone, it's William from Texas.
William, what is the winning wow?
Hi, Guy, Roz, and Mindy.
I'm William from San Antonio, Texas.
And my wow in the world is that everybody sweats William, that is correct.
And there you have it, Wowzers.
If you guessed the answer B, every person's sweat, smells, and tastes different...
You picked the winning wow.
Turns out that no one person's sweat smells or tastes exactly the same.
We all have our own unique sweat.
Your sweat can act like an olfactory name tag which could help people identify you based on the way you smell.
For those of you who guessed A or C, you weren't that far off.
If you guessed A, it turns out hippos do not sweat at all.
However, they do produce a reddish, oily fluid that comes from special glands in their skin.
This oily fluid acts as a sunscreen and protects the hippo from the sun's ultraviolet rays.
And if you guessed C?
Well, horses actually sweat in a few different places, like between their hind legs and on their neck.
And while they don't sweat through their nose, cows actually do.

Welcome back to today's round of Two What's and a Wow.
Our category today is snakes.
Mindy, why don't you refresh our contestants on how the game works?
You know it.
We're going to present you with three scientific facts about snakes.
But, and this is a big but, only one of those facts will be a true wow.
The other two, just a couple of made up what's.
Okay, well, let's get started.
Which of the following facts about snakes is the one true scientific wow?
Is it A. Snakes have 200 to 400 ribs.
Or is it B. Pythons have six inch long fangs, the longest fangs of any species of snake.
Or is it C. Most snakes eat five to seven times a day.
One more time.
Is it A, snakes have 200 to 400 ribs?
Or is it B, pythons have 6-inch long fangs, the longest fangs of any other species of snakes?
Or is it C, most snakes eat 5 to 7 times a day?
When you think you have the right answer, write it down on a sheet of paper and scream your choice directly into your pillow.
And check back tomorrow to see if your wow is the winning wow.
But before we go, we have a little scientific challenge for you.
We call it Operation Snake Smarts.
We challenge you to do some research and find out about the characteristics of a venomous snake.
And the characteristics of a non-venomous snake.
I know that snakes can be kind of frightening sometimes if you don't know all the facts, but it turns out that the majority of snakes really aren't that dangerous for humans.
Once you know the facts, we want you to find a creative way to tell your friends and grown-ups about your scientific research.
Maybe you'll write a poem or a book or draw a picture or make a zine.
Or even make a short film.
Get those creative juices flowing and start thinking about the best way you can share what you've learned with others.
Become a science communicator.
And once you're done, let your grown-ups know that they can upload your photo video, song or whatever you make to Tinkercastcom.
