That's it.
It's going to be a November to remember.
But for now, let's get on with the show.
Woo! for everyone's second favorite game show after Wheel of Fondue.
It's Two What's and a Wow.
With your hosts, Mindy and Guy.
The scientific game show that separates the wows from the what's.
And the category for today is cheese.
Mindy, why don't you refresh our contestants on how the game works?
You know it.
Wowzers in each of our three rounds.
Today, Guy Raz and I will present you with three scientific statements about cheese.
But, and this is a big but, only one of those statements will be a true wow.
The other two, just a couple of made-up what's.
Now, in each round, if you guess correctly, well, congratulations, you win a point.
But if you guess incorrectly, you must stop, drop, and do a ridonkulous physical challenge.
Okay, everyone ready to start the game?
Great, then let's do it.
Round one.
Which of the following statements is a true scientific wow?
Is it A...
Some cheeses are injected with mold to give them a creamy texture and a blue color.
Or is it B?
There are special machines that poke holes in Swiss cheese.
Or is it C?
Cottage cheese can only be made in cottages.
When you think you have the correct answer, yell, I love cheese dairy much!
Psst, Reg!
Cue the thinking music.
And time is up.
Let's now reveal the winning wow.
And to do just that, it's Gemma from Colorado.
Gemma, tell us, what's the winning wow?
My wow in the world is that some cheeses are injected with mold to make a creamier texture and blue coloring.
Winner, winner, mold for dinner.
Thank you, Gemma.
Contestants, if you guessed the answer A, that some cheeses are injected with mold to give them a creamy texture and blue color well congratulations, you've found the winning wow.
Blue cheese is blue because of mold, but it's not the same mold that grows on your food when you leave it in the fridge for eight months.
Cheesemakers poke tiny holes in wheels of white cheese to create air pockets for a mold called penicillium.
This penicillium grows and grows and eventually turns the cheese blue.
Now, if you did not get that answer correct, you must stop drop and eat a whole wheel of gorgonzola cheese.
Okay, round two.
Which of the following statements is a true scientific wow?
Is it A, cheese is actually a vegetable?
Or is it B, Mozzarella is made with an edible kind of rubber.
Or is it C, the stinky aroma of blue cheese and sweaty feet are caused by similar bacteria?
When you think you have the correct answer, yell, P-U, who cut the cheese?
Hey, Reg, thinking music, please.
And time is up.
Let's now reveal the winning wow.
Joining us by phone, it's William from Virginia.
William, what's the wow?
My wow in the world is the stinky aromas of blue cheese and sweaty feet are caused by the same bacteria.
Winner, winner, stinky feet for dinner.
That's right, William.
Contestants, if you guessed C, that the stinky aroma of blue cheese and sweaty feet are caused by similar bacteria well, congratulations.
You found the winning wow.
When your feet get all sweaty, a bacteria known as Brevibacterium epidermidis can grow and grow and the result is stink city.
This same kind of bacteria is sometimes used in cheese making, including the very stinky cheese Limburger.
It smells bad, but to a lot of people, it tastes delicious.
Now, if you did not get that answer correct, you must stop, drop, and smell your own foot funk.
Okay, round three.
Which of the following statements is a true scientific wow?
Is it A, The White House has a presidential cheese cellar.
Or is it B?
A sculptor once carved a life-sized sculpture of an astronaut made entirely out of cheese.
Or is it C, the moon is, in fact, made of cheese?
When you think you have the correct answer, yell, Havarti Party!
Hey, Reg, can we get some thinking music, please?
And time is up.
And joining us by phone, it's Joy from Oregon.
Joy, what's the winning wow?
My wow is that a sculptor once carved a life-size sculpture of an astronaut entirely out of cheddar cheese.
Winner, winner, astronaut cheese for dinner.
That's right, Joy.
Wowzers, if you guessed B right that a sculptor once carved a life-sized sculpture of an astronaut entirely out of cheese.
Well, congratulations, you found the winning wow.
An artist named Sarah Kaufman once carved a life-sized astronaut out of a giant block of cheddar cheese.
The final statue weighed about 1,900 pounds.
The statue stood in the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in 2009 in honor of the 40th anniversary of the moon landing.
But unfortunately the museum's air conditioning shut off overnight, which caused the sculpture to melt.
Oh, no.
Oh, yes.
And if you did not get that answer correct, you must stop drop and wade through a puddle of melted cheese.
And now it's time to thank our sponsors.
Today's show is brought to you in part by Tyramancy, the ancient art of fortune telling through cheese.
Trade your crystal ball for a cheese board and crackers because the cheese knows all.
Tyramancy, your future's looking good-a.
Okay, thank you, Tyramancy.
Now let's take a quick break and hear some other important messages for grown-ups.

Now back to the show.
Welcome back to Two What's and a Wow.
Two What's and a Wow.
The scientific game show that separates the wows from the what's.
What's that?
Oh, Guy Raz, that sound can mean only one thing.
It's bring your pelican to work day?
Uh, no, but that's a good suggestion, and we should put that on the calendar.
Oh.
That sound means it's time for today's Bonker Balls bonus round.
Now, if you listen to this week's Wow in the World, episode titled Trumpet Fish Tag, you will know the answer to this one.
And the Bonker Balls bonus question is the hunting technique shared by both the trumpet fish and the tag world champion.
The trumpeteer is known as the stocking horse.
But why?
Is it A, A?
Because the trumpet fish looks like a tiny horse galloping through the water?
Or is it B?
Because it's a lot like a technique that humans use while hunting on a horseback.
Or is it C?
Because the trumpet fish was first discovered displaying this behavior in a place called Stocking Horse Bay.
When you think you have the correct answer... Sound off with your nose trumpet.
And to reveal the winning answer, it's Reggie.
Reggie, tell us, what's the winning wow?
That's it.
The answer is B.
The hunting technique used by the trumpet fish is known as the stocking horse because it looks a lot like a hunting technique that humans use while riding on horseback.
In the water.
The stalking horse is a move where the long, skinny trumpet fish hides behind a bigger fish.
And when it's ready to make its move, it jumps out from the shadow and tags its prey.
Booyah!
And for more on the trumpet fish and this exciting game of underwater tag, go back and listen to our Wow in the World episode titled Trumpet Fish Tag.
And congratulations to all of our winning Wowzers.
Today, contestants will be bringing home their very own nachos.
Ready to prize cannon, Reg?
Cheese!
Beans!
Salsa!
Mattis!
Just lick it off your own face!
Nachos for everyone!
Oh, this is a disaster!
It's disgusting and messy!
