But for now, let's get on with the show.
Woo! of The Moon and the Submarine, a one-woman show.
Please make your way to the theater doors.
Huh?
What'd they say?
Make your way to the buttered floors?
Fingerling, he's talking about the sweetener wars.
Oh, okay.
No, no, he said theater doors.
It means the show's about to start.
We're just waiting on... Okay, here we go.
Whoo!
Dennis.
All right.
I've got everyone's theater snacks.
Oh, did you get the organic fair trade non-GMO quinoa puffs I asked for?
Uh, no.
They were sold out.
Aw.
But I got you the next best thing.
Oh, what?
Exploding ants.
Look out.
Ah.
Heavens.
Oh.
Ugh.
Look at them.
They're disgusting and exploding.
Please find your seats.
The show is about to begin.
Oh.
We gotta go.
G-Force, put the cover on the exploding ants or you're gonna spill them.
Don't tell me what to do, little man.
Oh, someone needs a nap.
Ooh, me, me, me, me.
Wow, I can't believe they're finally putting on Mindy's one-woman show.
I can't believe these exploding ants are low-fat.
Hello, sir.
Can I offer you a program?
Sure, thanks.
Let me just see here.
The Moon and the Submarine.
What kind of name is that?
Well, it says here that this one-woman show is all about Titan.
Oh, like Lefty Lucy in Right and Titan.
Well, I'm about to tighten my purse strings.
I'll tell you what, this place is too fancy for me.
Titan is one of Saturn's 82 moons.
And, according to this, one of the most fascinating, promising and smelliest celestial bodies in our solar system.
What?
How do you smell a celestial bodies?
Probably with a celestial nosy.
Oh, right.
And according to this, it's all based on the latest findings and research from NASA.
NASA!
Oh, boy!
Oh, hello there.
Sorry, didn't mean to scare you.
Can I help you find your seats?
You may.
Okay, I'll need to see your tickets.
Here you go.
Okay, you are in row D. Follow these stairs right down here, and you'll be on your right there.
Thank you.
Come on, everyone.
Right behind you, Guy.
Let's see here.
G, F, E, ah, here we go, D. Now we just need to get past all the people.
Not a problem, Guy.
I'm what they call a people person.
Or, no, wait.
A people mover.
Oh, no.
Ahem.
Okay.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
Ahem.
Madam.
I said, excuse me.
Don't roll your eyes at me.
I'm trying to get to my seat.
This is our row.
Sir.
Sir.
Please move your huge feet.
Thank you.
Woo.
There you go, guy.
Uh, thanks a lot, Dennis.
Oh.
Now I can finally rest my tush.
I have to go to the bathroom.
Quiet, Tommy.
You quiet.
Is it working?
Is it on?
Hello, babies and germs.
And welcome to the matinee performance of the moon and the submarine.
Please remember to turn off all of your mobile devices and from eating any exploding ants until the end of the performance.
Ah, rats.
Enjoy the show.
Way out and beyond, in the depths of space orbiting the sixth planet from the sun.
746 miles from Earth lies a moon.
A moon unlike any other.
And the name of that moon is Titan.
Waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle.
Ta-da!
Ooh.
Psst.
Guy.
Psst.
Guy Raz.
What is it, Dennis?
Why is Mindy dressed like a giant orange?
She's not dressed like a giant orange Dennis.
She's dressed like the moon Titan.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Got it.
Shh.
Don't shush me.
I had a question.
Hi there.
My name is Titan.
You might not know me.
It's easy to get me confused with my other brothers and sisters.
After all, I do have 81 of them.
And we all come in different shapes and sizes.
This here is my little brother, Polini.
I said, this is my little brother, Polini.
Reggie, that's your cue.
This is my little brother, Polini.
He's just three miles wide.
And on the other end of the spectrum is me, Titan, I'm the biggest of the bunch.
I'm 3,200 miles wide.
Oh, wow.
And all of my 81 brothers and sisters and me, we orbit our mother planet, Saturn.
Saturn.
Reggie, pull the cord.
No.
Was that supposed to happen?
I mean, Galad, you're all enjoying the show.
We will now take a short intermission break.
Be right back.
Close it, close it, close it, close it, close it, close it.
Well, color me impressed.
Such an exciting start.
What?
It started?
What happened?
It was just getting good when the set started falling apart.
T-Force, no spoilers.
If Guy Raz is in the audience, could he make his way to the backstage, please?
That's Guy Raz to the backstage.
Backstage tour?
You're so lucky.
Uh, something tells me that it's not a backstage tour.
Mr. Roz?
Yes?
If you could follow me, I'll take you backstage.
Okay.
And where do you think you're going, boy?
Didn't you hear?
He's getting a backstage tour.
Lucky duck.
It's not a backstage tour.
Mr. Roz, if you please.
Uh, okay.
See you all later.
Alright!
And right through this door.
There you go.
Okay.
Hello?
Hello?
Mindy?
I am so glad you're here.
Mindy, why did you bring me back here?
I was just starting to enjoy the show.
Yeah, well, uh, here's the thing.
I know you probably can't tell from out there in the audience, but...
This show is kind of falling apart.
Really?
Yeah, I know.
This is totally out of character for me, but I think I might have bitten off a little more than I can chew.
Uh-huh.
And I really need your help.
My help?
Yes.
What do you need my help with?
Okay, so I need you... Yes?
To play the role of NASA's Titan submarine.
Huh?
Well, I thought I could play both the moon and the submarine, but uh, things have gotten a little complicated.
Thanks, Reg.
Okay, Guy Raz, two minutes until I'm back on stage.
What do you say?
What do I say?
Mindy, how am I supposed to play a role in a show that I've never seen before?
Ah, well, that's where you're in luck.
Can't memorize a script in two minutes, Mindy?
And this script, by the way, has soy sauce stains all over it.
Yeah, sorry, I had sushi for lunch.
Ugh.
You'll be fine, Guy Razzi.
Half this stuff is improvised anyway.
Just follow my lead.
Well... Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please!
One minute!
Come on, Guy Raz, anything for the arts?
Anything for sci...
Wait, the arts?
Yes!
You're the best, buddy.
Wait a minute, Mindy.
I didn't agree to.
Oh, and the submarine costume is just over there in the corner.
Submarine costume?
Uh-huh.
Oh, and it might be a little bit of a tight squeeze, but you should be able to make it work.
You didn't say anything about a submarine costume.
Oh, gotta run.
The stage is calling.
No, Mindy, wait!
Uh...
And now, take two.
I mean, part two of the moon and the submarine.
Ahem.
I've always been told that I was a pretty special moon.
And it's not just because I'm so big.
The second largest in the solar system.
No, no.
I am special because unlike most moons, I have a pretty thick atmosphere.
And not only that, but I have weather.
I have deserts.
And I have rivers, lakes, and seas all over my alien surface.
But my rivers and lakes are not made out of water.
No, no, no.
They are made out of liquid methane.
You're talking about liquid farts?
J-farts!
That's right, complete stranger.
Methane, in its gas form, is part of what makes your tooth smell terrible.
Oh!
That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
All over my alien surface are miles and miles of rivers, lakes and oceans made entirely out of liquid butt burps.
These liquid toots, around 80 of them, are located in just one of my alien oceans, an ocean known as Crockenmaw.
A long long time ago, all the way back in the year 2007, a small satellite named Cassini came to visit me.
Cassini flew by to learn all about my surface and my oceans.
You mean the fart oceans?
Shh, quiet.
I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly.
Mindy, is it the fart oceans?
That's right.
Scientists were later able to predict that the liquid methane ocean on my surface is more than 1000 feet, About the same size as all five great lakes put together.
Oh, that's a lot of fart ocean.
I am so proud of my big stinky ocean.
It's what makes me different.
It's what makes me unique.
It's what makes me me.
And because it's so large, my interstellar ocean of funk is the perfect candidate for Reggie drumroll.
Submarine exploration!
Hey, Roz, that's your cue.
Mindy, Mindy, I look ridiculous.
You look ridiculously fine.
Really?
Yes, now get out here.
Okay.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the one, the only, Titan Submarine.
Oh, wow.
Thank you.
Thank you.
This little guy is going to be my new best friend.
And he's coming my way pretty soon.
He's just waiting for the right season.
Karaz, put on the sunglasses.
Oh, right.
You see, I have seasons just like Earth does.
And according to science, the best time to come and visit me is in the summer.
Looking good, Titan submarine.
Surf's up.
You see, on Earth, seasons typically last around three months.
But my seasons, well, my seasons can last for seven years.
So if you want to experience a hot, fun titan summer, the best place to visit me is in the year 2045.
Get rocks.
Script.
Read the script.
Oh, right.
Here.
2045.
But that's such a long time away, Titan.
Why do I have to wait so long?
Why does everything take so long?
Throws hands up in the air in exhaustion.
Well, Titan submarine, everything takes longer in space.
Like what?
Well, do you know how long it takes to get from your home on Earth to me out here orbiting Saturn?
I don't know, Titan.
How long does it take?
It takes seven years.
Wow, really?
The script, Guy Raz.
Read the script.
Oh, yeah, right.
So, in order for me to get to you and your oceans of liquid farts...
Oh, I have to leave Earth by 2038.
That's right, Titan submarine, which means that you have just over 15 years to figure out how to swim.
And I'm not talking about an ocean of water.
I'm talking about an ocean of toots.
Do you have any travel tips?
Oh, I sure do.
Now, Reg.
Come on, shake it all out.
Come on, faster, faster.
What is this, minty confetti?
Yeah, just go with it.
Well, for starters, the oceans, rivers and lakes on my surface are not as warm as those back on Earth.
No?
No, no, no.
The temperature of my liquid lakes hovers around 179 degrees Celsius or negative 290 degrees Fahrenheit.
I get it.
The confetti represents snow.
Very clever.
Shh.
Oh, sorry.
Brr.
That sounds cold.
Oh, it's cold, all right.
Now, Reg.
Brr.
Brr.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the first few rows might get a little wet.
Well, it's a good thing I'm wearing my poncho.
Hee hee.
Is this ice water?
Why, of course it's ice water, little submarine.
Getting an interstellar probe such as yourself to work at such low temperatures is just one of the problems that the scientists at NASA are going to have to figure out before they can send you my way in 2038.
Eros, your line is next.
I can't read my script anymore, Mindy.
It's soaking wet.
Well, then just go with the flow.
Improvise it.
Okay.
Well... All of that seems like an awful lot of work.
Am I even worth it?
Great improvising, Guy Raz.
Of course you're worth it, little Titan submarine.
If there's anything we know about the solar system...
It's that wherever there's liquid, there's also a good chance of life.
And if life does exist on Titan in such a bizarre and seemingly hostile environment, then that could tell us more about the evolution of life than any other mission we have ever launched into space.
Really?
Really.
Titan submarine, You might just be the most important probe that we ever sent out into space.
How was that, Guy Raz?
Well, apart from the ice water getting dumped all over me.
Oh, yeah.
Sorry about that.
Apart from that, it was actually really fun.
Great.
So you don't mind doing another 13 shows?
13 what?
It's a two-week run.
Indeed.
We can talk about it later.
In the meantime, let's go say hello to our adoring fans.
Reggie, it's time for the curtain call.
Ready?
No.
And curtains.
And bow.
And wave.
Thank you.
Thank you all so much.
I know them.
That's Mindy and Guy.
They're my friends.
My best friends.
Reggie, we've been over this.
I'm home.
I'm home.
Avatar.
Avatar.
Avatar.
Why are we yelling about tuna fish?
