Hey, A to Z English Podcast listeners, it's Jack here.
And we just want to announce that we are now on WeChat.
Our WeChat ID is A to Z English Podcast.
That is A to Z English Podcast. One word, all lowercase.
And if you join the group, you'll be able to talk with me,
you'll be able to talk with social.
And we can answer your questions, we can read your comments
on the podcast. So we'd love for you to join us
and be active in our WeChat group.
Our WeChat ID is A to Z English Podcast.
Thanks. See you on the app.
Welcome to the A to Z English Podcast. My name is Jack and I am here with my co-host
social and today we have a very special episode.
And today's episode is titled The A to Z English Corner.
And social, we have exciting news for our listeners out there.
We are starting an English corner in China.
And we'll be teaching every day, yeah, five days a week.
Yeah, we're really excited about this.
I want our listeners to know that we're still going to be, of course,
at least three episodes a week of A to Z.
And the reasoning for making the English corner is of course,
we want you to interact more with our students.
And we want to be able to keep making content for you guys because it takes a lot of
effort and it takes money and time.
And it's expensive ultimately for Jack and I to run the A to Z podcast.
So yeah, this is an opportunity to benefit everyone.
And I'm really looking forward to it.
Of course, we'll always remain loyal to the A to Z English podcast
and we'll keep making content for you guys.
100% free of charge.
Right, we're never going to, you never have to pay for the podcast.
Yeah, never abandon you for the podcast.
Yeah, and for the English corner, the first 10 classes are free.
So you can, you know, you get to really take it for a test ride
and see if you like it, you know, like you can go to 10 classes for free.
If it's, if you enjoy it, then you will become, you will move on to VIP status for,
we settled on 80 RMB a month, okay, which is about $10 a month, US,
$10 USD per month.
But for $10, you're getting 20 classes, you know, Monday through Friday,
every, every week, Monday through Friday, 9 PM to 10 PM.
So 9 o'clock in the evening in China.
And I don't know what, you know, I'm not good at math, but $10 for 20 classes,
what does that come down to?
50 cents a class?
Yeah, something like that.
Okay, okay.
Yeah.
I mean, in the, in the, in the real world, you know, one hour with a,
a native English speaker is probably about, um, five times that much, you know,
about 50 bucks an hour, something like that.
Right.
That'd be 10 times as much as 50 cents.
Well, right, per class.
Okay, I'm bad at it.
Sorry, yeah, no, we're strong mathematicians.
So that's why we're mathing poorly here.
That's why we're language teachers and not.
Right.
So, um, yeah.
I know, I'm very excited about this.
I'm looking forward to being able to connect with our students because, uh,
Jack told me that, um, we're going to be hosting this so that we get to interact
with each individual student.
Um, and I don't know, I really look forward to that.
I think that's my favorite part of doing a disease is being able to, uh,
have that link with the students directly and seeing you guys grow,
seeing you progress and seeing you enjoy the content that we make.
Um, and I'm really excited to be able to do that full time.
I mean, we've gotten so much love from China, you know, like the, the podcast.
I mean, for, for sure, our, our largest, um, percentage of audiences from China.
And a lot of that comes from, uh, Billy Billy, I think, you know, some of our videos are,
our podcast is, is a, they, the episodes have been uploaded onto Billy Billy and so people
have just found us that way.
Um, but you can also join our, we, uh, uh, WeChat group.
Um, so our WeChat, uh, user name, uh, ID is A to Z English podcast.
So A to Z English podcast. So if you, uh, you can look in the description,
you can join, you can click on it and join, uh, you know, come into my, our, uh, WeChat group and I'll let you in.
And, um, that's where I'll post the, the discussion questions for the, uh,
the, uh, the video conferencing class.
And so we're using, uh, V-O-O-V, the app.
Um, it's kind of like Zoom or Skype, kind of similar to those, but it's, uh, um,
I believe a Chinese company, V-O-O-V.
And so you can, uh, join the VooV class, um, straight from, uh, clicking the, the link in, where the discussion questions are.
So in, in the WeChat.
So, yeah, I think it's, it sounds complicated right now.
I mean, as I talk about it, it sounds very complicated.
But it's, I think once we, students kind of get used to it, it'll be very, you know, simple, you know.
Yeah, and I, and I'm just really excited.
And I, I want to thank our students that have been with us from the beginning and that have allowed us to keep, uh,
creating content and keep growing as content creators.
And I know we've taken quite a few turns and divots in the last few months,
trying to make sure that we stay afloat, uh, podcast.
Right. And I really appreciate by sticking with us, um, through all of that, um, because it's been a lot,
but our fan base, you guys are unchakable.
You've, you've supported us through all of this.
And I want you guys to know that podcasts will only be free to you.
Um, I want you guys to know that we'll still be in the WhatsApp groups.
We'll still be in the WeChat groups.
You can still email us directly at a-z-englishpodcast.gmail.com.
You can still always leave us a comment.
We'd love to see your comments at a-z-englishpodcast.com.
Um, and, uh, we're so happy that you guys are part of an attorney with us.
Um, and we'll only have, uh, that in mind.
We'll be forward.
Yeah, I can't wait to see everybody in the English corner.
That'll be- it'll be fantastic.
So we're going to have so much fun.
I just- I'm really excited.
See you guys next time.
Bye-bye.
Okay, bye-bye.
