Luckily, Story Pirates is partnering this season with The Week Junior, an incredible magazine that kids can't wait to read.
Every issue of The Week Junior has a section called Photos of the Week that is full of photos that are great to tell an imaginative story about.

And don't forget the Story Pirates Amazing Adventure Tour continues October 5th and 6th with shows in Connecticut and New Hampshire.
You can find tickets at storypirates .com slash live.
Now, back to the show.
Aren't adventurers supposed to have a specific purpose?
What are you doing on this quest?
Just meeting strangers?
Yep, my purpose is to have no purpose.
Though I sort of find purpose as I go.
My basket! It's missing!
I have tried many means of defense but none have yet proven successful.
I just wish someone would succeed in getting that darn sword.
I am under attack by this ruffian!
I want to be big and strong and fight evil.
I have hope that if you show up at her door she might listen.
Want to help me yell at them?
With your sword? In a threatening manner?
Side Questing is a fantasy podcast about avoiding the main plot.
It follows Ryan, an adventurer who's willing to help just about anyone out.
As long as they're not being asked to deal with that scary wizard everyone keeps talking about.

Hey Story Pirates Podcast listeners, Leigh here.
Today we have for you a very special bonus episode called Dungeon Kid.
We made it with an incredible kid named Cal who just so happens to be a dungeon master.
Wait, what? What's a dungeon master?
Who is this dungeon kid?
Does this have anything to do with D &D?
What's D &D? Okay, okay.
I know that's a lot of questions and luckily for all of us they're all answered by the dungeon kid himself.
Take a listen to this short interview I did with Cal and then we'll get started.
Cal, I'm so excited about Dungeon Kid.
Yeah. It's been really fun so far.
Before we start and hear this adventure can you tell us what is D &D?
D &D is a game where one person is the dungeon master who creates this really big and fun world and the other people are the players who adventure in the world and explore it.
It's like making up a group story together.
Yeah. And what does D &D stand for?
It stands for dungeons and dragons.
And do you have to have a dungeon and a dragon in your game?
You don't. Are the characters the kinds of people you would meet in real life?
They're mostly like magic characters.
Some of them are just warriors.
It sounds like there's a lot of adventure and a lot of magic and even some battling in these D &D games.
Can they be funny? Yeah.
All the time. How do you make a game like this funny?
As the dungeon master you could put them in funny scenarios.
In this game that we're going to hear today, you're the dungeon master with a bunch of grownups as the players, right?
Yeah. And the characters that are in this story, who made them up?
The players get to make up their own characters but I created everything else.
I created all the bad guys, the good guys, and the monsters that they meet on their quest.
Amazing. Where does it take place?
It takes place in another world, like a magical world.
Who made up that magical world?
I did. Do you have a favorite part of the world that you created?
There's a forest called Forest of Special Large Danger and a forest of absolutely no danger.
And are they as advertised?
Do they indeed have that level of danger in each forest?
Surprisingly, yes. That sounds amazing.
I cannot wait, and neither can the listener.
So without further ado, I think we should just dive into the game.
So take it away, dungeon kid.
The dungeon kid. The world I created is called Realm Land, an ancient island that existed since the dawn of time.
It is very magical and is filled with magical creatures.
Adventurers come from all over the world to try and find the many magical items on the island.
The most magical of them all is the gem of infinite power.
Or dip, for short. Bad guys want the gem for evil, and good guys want it for good guy stuff.
But no one has ever found it.
We start this adventure at sea.
There is a small ship made by three heroes who are seeking out the gift.
First we have Moxvi the Druid.
Ah, what a fine day to be an adventurer out on the open waves.
He's a little furry forest wizard that can transform into any animal in the world.
It's time for my daily animal transformation exercises.
Here I go. I'm a weasel!
Now I'm a black -crowned Central American squirrel monkey!
And now I'm a hairy, screaming armadillo.
Which, yes, is a real animal.
When it feels threatened, it screams.
Is that true? A Maybelline.
I didn't see you there.
Next is an eight foot tall Goliath bard.
Goliaths are half human, half giant, and bards are heroes that use music for magic.
Thank you, yes. While I may be only half giant, I am full star.
Muscles and breathtaking talent?
Yes, please. Even when I'm not a screaming armadillo, your presence is powerful.
And the last member of the party is a barbarian named Grr.
Is everything all right up here?
I heard screaming and got concerned.
Oh, Grr. I'm okay. But it's good of you to check.
Not many barbarians would.
I know barbarians are known for their rage, but most haven't been through anger management like me.
And now that you three brave adventurers are assembled, it's time for your journey to truly begin.
How exciting! Just at that moment, Grr, you see an island.
It's Realm Land. Look out at the horizon!
It's Realm Land, where we are sure to find the gem of infinite power.
Or Gip, for short. Oh, how dramatic to be or not to be.
That is a line from a famous play.
Friends, we're pulling up to Realm Land.
It's time to get serious.
Come on, fellas. Let's go get that Gip so we can fulfill our mission, which is to do good guy stuff.
Here we are at the dock.
Let's jump off the ship.
Do you think the boat will be okay here without us?
Suddenly, a giant kraken rises from the sea and snatches the boat.
Oh, I've been looking for a pirate ship bed for my son.
I'll take this. It pulls your boat under the sea.
Thank you. And she's gone.
Well, at least it's going to a kid.
Normally, I'd get very mad about that stuff, but I've been through anger management recently.
And we are so proud of you.
Where should we go now?
There's a small sign that says Blob Town.
As you approach it, you see a colorful site.
The buildings are made of different flavors of jelly.
Strawberry jelly, lime jelly, grape jelly.
They all wobble in the breeze.
The villagers are blobs of various sizes and shapes.
One blob comes up to you and screams at the top of its lungs.
Ahem. Another blob waves you down.
This one has a blob mustache.
Hello travelers. Don't find slimy.
She's scared of everything.
Sorry, I just remembered being scared three seconds ago.
I did it again. Sorry.
Oh no, I'm stuck in a loop.
I think I'm okay. Welcome to Blob Town.
My name's Sludgy. And I'm the smartest blob for miles around.
Wonderful to meet you, Sludgy.
Suddenly, a shoe flops all by itself.
It has eyes and a mouth.
He looks up to you and says, Oh my gosh, that shoe just talked.
And now I'm remembering it talked.
That little blob really is afraid of everything.
Well, in this case, he might be justified.
Things have gotten strange around here.
Random objects have been coming to life.
What other things have come alive?
Just then, a chip bag walks by.
He's singing a song.
I'm just a chip bag.
Chip, chip, chip it all on.
Excuse me, little talking chip bag.
But do you know why inanimate objects are suddenly coming to life?
I'm not sure. All I remember is a man wearing goggles and a party hat.
Bye. Crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch.
You guys sure picked a busy day to visit Blob town.
Oh, look who's coming now.
Looks like another blob is coming over.
And this one has a fancy hat and an even fancier mustache.
Pardon me. Excuse me.
Pardon me. Mayor coming through.
Mayor coming through.
Hello, I'm the mayor.
Mr. Mayor, these adventurers are looking for the gift.
How did you know that, smart blob?
Well, because I'm a smart blob.
Oh, right. Adventurers, you say?
Just what we need. Oh, you have to help us.
We need to find out who's turning all these objects to life.
Well, a very musical chip bag just said something about a man in goggles and a party hat.
Why, that's Professor Fish.
He lives down the road in a mansion, and he doesn't take too kindly to strangers.
If he's behind this, please do something about it quickly.
And if you do, as a reward, I will give you this handy -dandy map to Realm Land.
It will help you on your quest for the gift.
Wow, what a guy. Who said that?
It's me, blob mayor.
Your hat. I'm alive.
I'm gonna go see Professor Fish, too.
Here I go. Follow that hat.
And so, you follow the hat down the road, and a large shadow comes over you.
A large green dragon lands on the ground before you.
His name is Steve. A dragon.
Hello, tiny beings.
I am Steve. You sure look yummy, but lucky for you, I just ate another adventurer.
He sure did. Quiet, you.
Sorry. Seeing as I am no longer hungry, you are safe for now.
So... yeah. That's about it.
Bye. Bye. Honestly, as far as encounters with dragons go, that went about as well as it possibly could.
Let's move. We'll be right back.
That went about as well as it possibly could.
Let's move. After a short walk, you approach Professor Fish's mansion.
Wow, that's a very big house for a fish.
Is he a fish, or is his name just Fish?
He's just a guy named Fish.
Huh. Let's knock on the door.
Ow. Did that door just say ow?
Hello. I'm a door. Hello, door.
I'm a star. We're here to see Professor Fish.
I should warn you. He's gone wild, and he's using his come alive potion to make everything come alive.
We need to find out why he's doing that.
Can we come inside and see him?
He's in his laboratory, but that room's locked.
So you'll have to figure out how to get in there on your own.
It's always something.
Welcome to the mansion.
Wow. Look at this place.
Fancy shmancy. We got a guest room on the left, a bathroom over there, and look at this cute little tea room.
I'd love some tea. Mogsby, don't wander off by your seat.
What are you doing down there?
Hey, guys. I found the kitchen.
And you should probably come here.
As you all enter the kitchen, you feel many pairs of eyes turn to you.
A refrigerator looks at you.
A massive stove opens its mouth, and fire shoots out of it.
Many forks, plates, and knives stand up and turn to you.
Something tells me that this living kitchen is not so friendly.
And then a sport with a military captain hat and a mustache screams.
Silhouare. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Cal, pause just for one second.
What is it, Lee? You're telling me the entire kitchen attacked them?
Yeah. This game is incredible.
You could really do whatever you want.
Just wait for the boss.
Oh my goodness. I cannot wait.
Well, you're going to have to because we're out of time.
But I guess this episode is going to be a cliffhanger, which is funny.
Because the mansion is on a cliff.
Well, the good news is, listeners, if you're loving this adventure, you can check out the second part of it right now on Story Pirates Creator Club feed, or you can go to our YouTube page and watch the entire campaign as it played out in real life with Cal and a crew of amazing Story Pirates.
