The moment you identify as a victim is the very moment that you strip away any chance you have at approving your situation.
You need to understand that life doesn't happen to you, it happens for you.
And that's no matter how bad your situation is.
And I know that there's some things in this world that don't seem like they should be there, but I promise you that God is present always.
And so regardless of what it is, there's always a lesson to be learned.
There's always an insight to be gained.
You are exactly where you are for a very specific reason.
And therefore, everything is perfect just the way it is.
There was a day that I was told my father was no longer on this earth.
There was a day that I was told my mother was no longer on this earth.
There was a day that I was told my grandmother who raised me for half my life was not on this earth.
There was a day that I was sat down and told that I have to move out after I lost all of my immediate family.
There was a day that I sat down with myself and realized that everything that I knew and loved was stripped away from me.
If I stayed in a victim mindset, I wouldn't be where I was today.
You know, it's hard, I get it.
I really, really do.
I know what it feels like to be at absolute rock bottom.
And it makes me, I get goosebumps when I talk about it because I get put right back there.
But I realized I had one of two options.
I could either stay where I was and lie victim to my circumstances, or I could accept the situation, take control and use my own two hands to improve my situation.
And which one I chose I think is pretty evident.
That didn't happen for no reason, and it didn't look pretty.
There's a lot of sleepless nights, a lot of nights staring up at the ceiling wondering if I was delusional, if I could really pull this off.
But let my transformation and my journey be a testament that it really is possible.
Why do we victimize ourselves?
Well, it's because you don't know what you truly are, firstly.
If you knew your true nature, you would not be victimized.
You would not victimize yourself.
Why?
Well, because firstly, you're a creation of God.
And I mean, that speaks for itself.
You can't put into words what that truly means, but If I had to, it'd be everything that is pure and good and beautiful and boundless and divine.
If you are connected to that part of you, you embody that.
Victimization simply isn't an option.
It's not compatible anymore.
And so the root of a lot of this is really not knowing yourself.
And it's hard to sometimes, like I get it.
We live in a world of distractions and temptations and judgments of others, and expectations and societal norms.
It takes us away from that.
If we allow it, it doesn't have to.
But if we, if we give these things that power, then it certainly will.
And so a lot of this is just stripping all of that away.
People who don't treat you fairly, beliefs that are limiting, perspectives that have skewed your worldview into thinking that you are somehow a victim or unfortunate or Life has it out for you.
You know, none of this is true.
It's just not.
Again, life happens for you.
God is present always.
And even on your darkest days, like there is something there for you.
There's always something there for you.
Understand that you always have the power.
God gave you the greatest gift of all, and that is the gift of choice.
No matter what circumstance or situation you find yourself in, you will always have the power to make your next move.
That lies within your hands.
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where options one, two and three all seem like lose-lose situations.
But there's a best option, and you have the ability to choose that.
When you victimize yourself, you immediately strip that gift away from you.
You immediately give power to the situation, to the circumstance, to things that are outside of you.
You're allowing life to dictate your fate.
That is the biggest mistake that you could ever make, but I get so many messages all the time, all the time, from people who have a victimized mindset.
And it's a plague.
It is a sickness.
It's a virus that you need to extract out of you.
We need to flip the script.
We have to.
We can't get anything else done If we are automatically identifying ourselves as the loser, as the victim, as the unfortunate.
Your mind, if you identify as something, that is exactly what you will be.
And nothing will change.
And so you have to turn the table.
You have to flip the script.
You just have to.
And it's like, well, how do I do that?
Well, I mean, look, it's a lot more simpler than maybe what you want to hear.
I'd imagine you want to hear this really long, complex answer about something you've never heard of before, so that you can give yourself the comfort of like oh, I didn't know.
But you do know.
You do know.
You need to prove to yourself that you do have control.
How do you do that?
You do that through action.
You do it through action.
That's it.
You know, okay, here's a scenario.
You wake up exhausted, drowsy, no energy.
Your back hurts.
Why?
I don't know.
Maybe your internet went out yesterday, last night when you had to get some work done.
And so it forced you to stay up later than you wanted to.
And so you sacrificed a couple hours of sleep that you really wish you would have gotten.
And so you wake up and you give yourself that excuse.
You say, well, I got unlucky last night.
My internet went out, wasn't within my control.
And so here I am tired.
I can skip the gym.
I can skip the morning routine that I promised myself that I would do today.
You're victimizing yourself.
You're allowing what is out of your control to dictate how you act.
And so what should you do?
Well, it's very simple.
Regardless of how you feel, you still do the thing that you said that you were going to do.
You acknowledge the fact that you still remain to have the choice and the ability to do the thing that you said you were going to do.
And so you do it, even though it is hard, even though you're not excited to do it or motivated to do it, even though you don't have the energy, even though you did get unlucky the night before.
You still follow through.
You still follow through.
And so what does that do?
It proves to you subconsciously that it doesn't really matter how you feel or the circumstance you find yourself in.
You always have the choice.
You will always have that power.
And you can apply this to really any aspect of your life, any inconvenience, any roadblock, any barrier.
Doesn't matter.
Whatever situation I find myself in, I know I have a set of options and it is within my power to choose the best one.
And if I continue, instead of victimizing myself and taking away my ability to make the best decision for me, I acknowledge my gift of choice and I consistently choose the best option of the set of options that I have that will eventually lead me to where I want to go.
That will lead me to a life of fulfillment, a life of freedom.
That will lead me to a version of myself that is in control, that is confident, that is disciplined to their path, that is developing and growing.
That's how you get there.
There's no secret.
There's no tips or hacks or any shortcut.
It is these very foundational things.
So take this information and apply it to your day-to-day life today, now, immediately right now.
Don't wait till tomorrow.
What can you do now to enforce that belief, to enforce this perspective? this shift in your mindset.
What can you do now?
I believe in you, my friend.
I appreciate your time, and I will see you soon.
