Good morning guys.
Happy Sunday.
Today's vlog is going to be a little bit special because i have a very special guest here, but she prefers to remain anonymous, so my mom's visiting.
You may hear from her at some point.
I do love a good sunday reset.
I'm kind of like a sucker for these videos because they kind of make me feel productive when i just sit and watch them and i don't do anything.
This past week has been really rough for me.
I was pretty sick and i feel like i'm just coming out on the other end and i can like finally leave my apartment and be normal again.
So I need to like get groceries.
I have no food.
I need to like wash my sheets.
I don't know.
It's been like a rotting week for me.
And there's no better disciplinary than my mother to get me into shape.
She's here, my mom.
Mom, people wanna see you.
You're never gonna show yourself again.
We're starting off our Sunday morning with some fresh bagels that she just picked up yesterday.
If I could hand select my dream breakfast to have at my apartment, I think it would be this.
Papa Bagels.
Wow, I wonder if they do sponsorships.
I appreciate just a good, warm, sort of doughy bagel.
Would you say they're doughy?
Crunchy on the outside and very soft on the inside.
All right, i'm obsessed with sesame seeds and they have some scallion butter, so i'm gonna make my grocery shopping list while i eat, because i find that i spend a lot less money when i sit and make my list prior.
This is probably the most dressed up you'll ever see me on a Sunday.
Usually I like to use Sundays as my excuse to wear sweats.
Well, I am wearing sweatpants.
Off to Whole Foods I go.
I'm gonna get some stuff for lunch for us.
And my mom is gonna clean.
So luxurious to just have my mom clean for me.
Love you.
Text me.
As I was taking my casual stroll to the grocery store, something dramatically stopped me in my tracks, and it was called Interlude, a coffee shop.
I find myself to be one of the most easily marketed to people with coffee shops.
Any coffee shop that I've never been into will intrigue me, and I probably will go in there and buy a latte, no matter the price, which is concerning
Pretty good.
I think I'd rate it like an eight out of 10.
Anyways sidetrack, I ended up back at the grocery store, which is what I left my apartment for in the first place.
I really stocked up this trip on a lot of things, including flowers.
Why am I sitting in my living room with my groceries?
You may be wondering.
I would be wondering the exact same thing.
I wanna show you guys really quick what I got.
I love a good grocery haul, okay?
Something about grocery haul, it kind of inspires me to try new things.
I did Uber home.
You guys know my incident when I decided to not Uber with like five grocery bags and I threw out my shoulder.
So I learned my lesson.
All right, speed haul, everything bagel seasoning, which was delicious, noodles.
We're really in the processed food part of this haul.
I need a good sweet treat.
So these Yasso bars, the smart sweets.
Pre-chopped fruit.
I try not to do this because it's more expensive, but I was lazy.
Chicken noodle soup.
Cottage cheese for my mom.
Fresh flowers.
I got these for Olivia because she's letting my mom stay in her room, which is so nice.
Bone broth.
Stuff for our lunch.
So cherry tomato, zucchini, sweet potato, some chicken.
The real ones.
No, these are my favorite crackers of all time.
Tons of poppy.
You know, I tried their Shirley Temple flavor and it was so good.
But now I can't get them anywhere in store.
They're always sold out, so...
Pasta sauce, a couple random bars that I decided to try.
That's my little haul.
Got a few things.
I felt like we needed some food in here because we have nothing.
I'm gonna unpack all this in my fridge.
I find it so much harder to feel motivated on dreary days.
Like right now, I don't wanna clean.
I wanna just lay and rot on that couch.
But it needs to be done, so I'm gonna do a little deep clean.
Sundays are the days that I like to deep clean.
Never did I think I would like to vacuum as much as I do.
I think because it's just such a form of instant gratification.
Any type of cleaning, actually, is just instant gratification.
Anyways, long story short, I'm gonna vacuum.
I try not to work out on Sundays or do too much, but I did have a little bit of time to go get some steps in.
Pretty much just my usual.
Alright guys, I'm back.
I was scrolling on TikTok and someone tagged me in a TikTok saying that they love my videos and that I kind of feel like one of their best friends.
And there were just so many nice comments of people saying that they love my videos and that I'm like their comfort YouTuber.
It especially hit me because for some reason, the past couple days, I've been feeling a little bit like unsure about myself and like my videos.
I don't know, i think it's normal to second guess yourself, but i've been like wait, do people actually like like these videos?
Am i not doing videos that they wish i was doing like, do people even like them anymore?
I'm always in my head about something and it was just so sweet to see that today because i think i like especially needed it.
I'm gonna cook late lunch.
I'm so excited because we have a pasta making class later tonight, but i do want to make this just something like kind of healthy and quick.
You guys know I am a meal repeater.
Shamelessly, this is just my DNA.
If I like a meal, I'm gonna make it over and over and over until I absolutely despise it.
Anyways, my mom hasn't had this yet and I've been dying to make it for her when she comes.
It's really nothing special.
It's just my sweet potato chicken bowl with tzatziki.
I hope my mom likes it.
If she doesn't, I'm probably gonna be a little bit offended guys, i'm sorry, don't hate me.
I promise i'm gonna.
I'm gonna switch up my meals more, i'm gonna branch out but shamelessly, this is just my go-to.
I am gonna put the recipe in the description for anyone you know.
Even if there's just one of you that wants to make this, you know where to find it.
My roommate and i love making this together.
It's also just kind of like a fun.
I don't know if bonding is too strong of a word, bonding activity for us.
It's fun at the end of the day to just chat.
Obviously, my roommate wasn't here.
My mom was here, so it was just Really fun to be able to show her and show off my cooking abilities.
Well, that took a little bit longer than I expected.
This turned into a little bit of a later lunch, but I'm so excited.
I'm so excited for my mom to try.
She is sitting right here.
We have our bowls, mystery mother.
Do I look bad?
No, you look nice.
Then you can show me.
Here she goes.
She just said I could film.
Look at that.
That is just like so beautiful.
Aw.
She's so appreciative.
I mix it all together.
So tell me what's in this.
Spinach, quinoa, sweet potato.
If you don't like it, I'll be only a little offended.
I do.
I do.
You like it?
It's very good.
Usually I'd have avocado sometimes, but they didn't have any ripe ones.
That would be a good addition for sure.
We're going to be eating good today.
I think you're doing a great job.
Aw.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hey guys, we're here, getting ready.
They had us order our meal first.
So we're not actually making this pasta, or we're making it, we're not actually eating the pasta after the fact, which might be good, in case it turns out poorly.
You know, we're gonna see how this goes.
You know, watching this back, maybe this is my destiny.
This was so fun.
I really recommend doing this for like a date night or just a girl's night, anything.
If you're in the city, it was called Aunt Jake's.
We had a three-course meal after two, which was really, really good.
And my mom and I...
We're so easily influenced.
She went home and bought a pasta maker for $250.
Was that a good idea?
I'm not sure.
It was so fun.
It's like a memory I'll have forever with her.
Anyways, that was our night.
Love you guys.
Sorry, no outro again, okay?
We're not surprised, I guess.
But really, thank you guys for watching.
I had such a fun Sunday with my mom.
I miss you, mom, by the way.
She just left.
Love you guys, though.
See you in my next video.
Bye.
