There's two paths college, not college.
What should i do?
I don't.
To me the idea of going to college next year.
It feels easy, it feels comforting, it feels like i have a system set in place guaranteed housing, food.
I feel like that's not what i need right now.
I think happier is really exciting.
I guess it's just uncertainty of next year, of not knowing where I'm gonna be, what I'm going to be doing.
These are the last moments where I'm just with myself I suppose before I head off to college.
I feel like now the story begins.
Yeah, I wonder at what point it'll feel like I'm living there.
Yeah, I wonder.
Maybe?
Maybe?
I wonder if it'll just feel like a trip the whole time and if that's bad to feel.
Time's the most valuable thing I have, so it's yours to take.
I'm very excited, Max.
It's very crazy.
Yeah.
What's happening.
It just doesn't feel right.
It doesn't like me either.
I don't know.
It's already left you.
I think the scary thing about this age is that you have to make big decisions that permanently alter the rest of your life.
It feels like out of nowhere.
You're suddenly dropped off in a big forest with a blindfold and you're told to start walking in any direction you want, but there's no map or end destination in sight.
I've been worried about this day my whole life.
Now I'm going to cry.
No, I'm fine.
I'm ready to do this.
No, no, no, I'm not.
The idea of what college promises to be is very utopian, and it feels like a safe path.
Live with your friends in this place that feels like a resort, take interesting classes and have intellectual conversations, party and have the time of your life with no real adult responsibilities to hold you back.
And finally, here I was, stepping foot into this alternate reality for the first time.
It's so close.
It's so close.
Okay, that's interesting.
That's the good one.
Actually, why that's like the sad one?
Nope, oh cool.
This is big.
This is bigger than I thought.
I can survive.
Oh hell yeah.
I'm taking over.
I'm sending this to Mimi and Papa.
It's actually beautiful.
Nice view.
So that feels good.
I thought it was going to be cramped and small and we got space.
That's a bad idea.
It just doesn't feel real.
It's like I'm checking into my Airbnb.
I'm like, okay, the place is nice.
The place is nice.
Now I'm going to be living here.
It's wild looking around at all the hallways, the other kids, people I'll be friends with, interact with.
I feel it just like yesterday Those days out in the sun, But I think I've become A child of the night.
I'll blow back formal horror.
Thank you so much.
There's something about knowing that my mom is leaving tomorrow that renders me back to my infant self.
It's humbling to feel like you're out on your own now, or at least taking steps towards adulthood by yourself, forces you to question whether you have the skills required to exist as a human out in the world.
It reminds me of this image in my mind of when you're young and you run ahead of your parents, but every few seconds you look back to check and see if they're still there.
They smile back at you and make sure you feel like the exploration is okay and that you're safe.
But Venturing into adulthood feels like you have to keep your eyes ahead.
Can I make friends by myself?
Will I remember everything my parents taught me, or wow, I guess it's really just up to me to make all of my decisions for myself now.
Don't, don't you?
Love you.
I'll see you in four weeks.
So soon.
So soon.
All right.
I love you.
Have fun.
Stay in touch.
Let me know what happens here.
Bye-bye.
Aw, mom's gone.
I moved in!
We out here.
Wow.
My new life.
My new life.
When I sleep on your body, J'oublie notre guerre.
Mon âme est résidue Et la forteresse du rêve, Je suis partie pour.
Thank you.
Is this recording?
Yes it is.
Lovely, lovely sound.
Smooth as the groove that will move your body.
Lovely, a lovely song Let's move, it's the groove that will move your body around Thank you.
I've been in school for four days now and classes start on Monday.
I honestly have no idea what to expect or what the next year will look like, but I'm optimistic, of course, but I'm equally skeptical.
I think the whole idea of college, and at least what it's made out to be, seems just almost too good to be true.
Only time will tell.
Okay.
So if you stick around here, this is a bit of a preview, a sneak peek, of what my room looks like now.
The stick.
I'm settled in now.
There's Emma.
My mom made me this for my desk as a joke for Christmas because I do have a little crush on Emma.
Anyway, yeah, I'm settling in now.
But the process of settling in has been a lot, just for my mind.
You know, coming from the gap year back to school, a lot more structured routine.
The best way I can describe it is way back in time.
And you think about like a pair of headphones with wires.
I know that seems ancient, but you know, when you got tangled in the ball and you're just like oh like ah, this is going to take forever,
I don't want to do this.
That's kind of like what my mind felt like when I first opened up all my school assignments and saw the tests, all that stuff.
I was just like, oh no um, school's a lot.
You know, a lot of people at school are doing other things than just school.
Right, they might have a job um, plethora of things right for me.
I got to school and i'm running businesses, trying to run a youtube channel um, and not fail out of school, and so that's where notion has come in and been tremendously helpful at like untangling my mind.
So i'm very excited that notion is sponsoring this video and partnering with me.
Thank you, notion.
It just helped me again like organize all that so I can just like have mental clarity and peace, because there's so much going on in here and it's not good to keep it all in here.
And another thing about Notion that I like is there's no one size fits all.
There's no like right way to do Notion or a wrong way to do it.
You don't have to do it for just like organizing your life.
What I started using Notion for a couple months ago was for something I call my consumption archives.
So i have this like massive spreadsheet of everything i've watched and consumed, or things i want to watch or consume, and i have like a notes section.
Um, it's just for me to like catalog and be aware of what i'm consuming, right?
So there is no way to use notion.
You can kind of mold it uh, to your liking, your taste, however you want to use it, um.
So, whether you are a student, a business owner or just anyone um, there are cool, fun and creative ways to use notion, but it's for you to explore and it's free.
So you can check it out.
The link in my description, use my link.
It'll help me out and yeah, i hope it helps you, because it's been helping me out a ton.
Um, and let me know, shoot me a dm, leave a comment if it helps you out.
I want to partner with brands that provide value um, i think this is like a perfect example of that.
So yeah, i hope you guys enjoyed this video and uh, i'll see you soon.
Much love.
Bye.
