Danielle Bonadana and Jacob Bartlebaugh are both attached to their last names and cannot reach a consensus on whether to hyphenate or not.
They are concerned that their married name could be too much of a tongue twister.
Danielle says, I just don't even know if people will be able to say it.
The couple will reveal the results of the vote when they tie the knot in February.

Interesting stories.
Story number one. So how do you do it in your country?
In America, traditionally, when you get married, a man and a woman get married, the woman changes her last name to the man's name.
So my wife had her maiden M -A -I -D -E -N.
Again, maiden M -A -I -D -E -N.
She had her maiden name, name, her last name.
But when she married me, she changed her last name to my last name, which is Peterson.
So my wife's name is Wife Peterson.
It used to be Wife something else.
I don't even know. No, that's not true.
I know. Now, that's traditionally what happens in America.
But some couples, especially like if you're like from a rich family or a famous family, the woman does not want to change her last name.
In fact, she'll keep it.
So, for example, my name is Shane Peterson and my wife's name is Shane Not Peterson.
Oops, I'm sorry, her name is not Shane.
Anyway, her wife, Not Peterson.
But some couples will hyphenate the name.
So, for example, I have my name is Peterson.
OK, and let's say my wife's name was Smith.
So when we got married, she did not want to change her name.
So we decided my wife's name will be Wife Peterson Smith and I will be Shane Peterson Smith or Shane Smith Peterson or Wife Smith Peterson.
You can go both ways.
Peterson Smith or Smith Peterson.
And there's a hyphen there.
And some guys say, it's OK.
I'll get rid of my family name.
I don't need my name.
I'll take your name.
And my name is not Shane Peterson, it would be Shane Smith.
I used my wife's name.
Not a lot of guys do that, but there are some.
So this couple, the woman's name is Danielle.
That's her first name.
And her family name is Bonadonna.
Bonadonna. And her husband to be his first name is Jacob and his last name, his family name is Bartle Ball.
So Bonadonna and Bartle Ball.
Now Danielle likes her family name and Jacob likes his family name.
So when they get married, what is Danielle going to do?
Is she going to drop Bonadonna and accept Bartle Ball?
Or should they hyphenate?
Danielle Bonadonna, Bartle Ball, or Danielle Bartle Ball, Bonadonna?
But they worry Bonadonna, Bartle Ball, Bartle Ball, Bonadonna is a tongue twister.
She sells seashells by the seashore.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck?
Woodchuck could chuck wood?
The six, six sheep.
Six sheep, six what?
It's a tongue twister.
I agree. Bonadonna, Bartle Ball.
Bartle Ball, Bonadonna.

That's the situation.

They both really like their last names.
If you are attached to something, A -T -T -A -C -H -E -D, if you are attached to something, it means you like something.
That's a possible definition.
So these two people are attached to their last names and cannot reach a consensus.
To reach a consensus cannot agree.
They cannot agree. They cannot reach a consensus.
R -E -A -C -H -A consensus.
C -O -N -S -E -N -S -U -S. They cannot agree on whether to hyphenate or not.
Just use one name, use both names.
They don't know what to do.
They are concerned, they are worried that their married name, Bonadonna, Bartle Ball, Bartle Ball, Bonadonna, could be too much of a tongue twister.
Too difficult to pronounce.
Danielle says, I just don't even know if people will be able to say it.

It's like for people with good jobs, especially white collar jobs.
It's companies. It's businesses.
It's boring. I'm on LinkedIn.
We write articles there on LinkedIn, but it's boring.
It is. Instagram is interesting.
TikTok, I'm sorry. Twitter.
I like Twitter. Oops.
X. My favorite is X.
That's good. TikTok.
It's okay. But anyway, TikTok is becoming the new LinkedIn.
20 % of Gen Z applicants, Gen Z, Generation Z.
Are you Gen Z? What generation are you?
I'm Gen X. My wife thinks she's a Gen X.
I think she's a Millennial.
After the Millennials is the Gen Z.
My two boys, they're the alpha generation.
Gen Alpha, seriously.
They're Alpha. Yeah, I like that.
Anyway, 20 % of Gen Z applicants, people looking for jobs claim.
They say they've gotten job offers.
They've received job offers through the platform on TikTok.
So when I hire people, I do not use TikTok.
When I hire people, what do I use?
I use like indeed .com.
I do use online services that have job offer platforms.
They're professional.
I do not use TikTok.
I do not use Instagram.
Anyway, 20 % of Gen Z applicants say they have gotten job offers from TikTok.
While social media opens doors, it gives you opportunities.
Social media can give you opportunities.
It can also close them.
Social media can also close, close opportunities.
Shut opportunities down.
Why? As companies increasingly scrutinize.
Scrutinize. S -C -R -U -T -I -N -I -Z -E.
Scrutinize. What does it mean to scrutinize?
To look very, very carefully at your social media history.
So the idea is if I want to, if I'm thinking about hiring you, I will look for your Facebook.
I will look for your Instagram.
I will look for your TikTok.
I will look for everything about you online, and I will look at everything you ever said.
And if you said something weird, if you said something bad, if you said something, I don't know racist or bigoted or, you know, something really bad.
You're not going to get the job.
That's because social media can create many opportunities, but social media can close those opportunities because sometimes we say stupid stuff.
Me too. If you follow me on social media and you look at some of the things that I liked or some of the things that I retweeted or some of the things that I said, some of the responses that I gave, I am sure I have said something that you would think, oh my God, Coach Shane's bad.
He's a jerk. I hope not.
But, you know, when people write something, we can easily misunderstand, right?
It's true. Think about it.
If you some if you're married, right, let's say you're married guy texting his wife, you text your wife and you say something in the text that's supposed to be very funny.
But then your wife reads your text and she understands it like really differently and she gets really angry.
These misunderstandings are so common nowadays.
Because of all the social media and texting that we do.
So you got to be careful.
Be careful. Career experts say job seekers, people looking for jobs, should maintain, should keep a professional digital footprint.
Make sure if somebody looks you up online.
That they don't see the stupid stuff.
They don't see you drinking beer out of a shoe.
They don't see you, you know, using the middle finger to somebody.
You don't want that stuff in a professional environment.
It's true. There you go.
And finally, the third story.
Did he do you know Didi P Didi Sean P Didi Combs?
Yeah, he's a rapper, hip hop singer, star artist, producer.
Justin Bieber. He's a big influence behind Justin Bieber and many, many, many other singers and stars.
And evidently, he's a very sick man.
He's in trouble in the US.
He's in jail right now.
And I'm not going to talk about why he's in jail, but if it's true, he's a very sick, disgusting person.
I don't know what's going on in America, but over the past couple of years, we've got this guy named Weinberg.
We've got this guy named Weinstein.
I'm sorry. Einstein.
Wasn't, no, Epstein.
Sorry. Epstein. We've got P Didi.
We've got probably a lot more people that are really sick and disgusting.
And it's it's terrible because, you know, like like P Didi, he had some great music, music that I really enjoyed.
And like, for example, in today's podcast, I would actually like to play one of his songs.
There's a song that I think of that I really, really liked, but I'm not going to.
Because if if it's true about what they say, he's a really evil person, in my opinion.
Well, no, it's not in my opinion.
He is evil. If what they say is true, if what they say is not true, great.
I look forward to that day and I'll play his music.
But if what they say is true.
He should go to hell.
Anyway, he is in jail.
Big trouble. And while he's in jail, I guess he needs money.
So he's selling his house.

Do you know what a cemetery is?
A graveyard cemetery.

You know, when somebody dies, we take them to a place where there are and we put them in the ground and there are other lots of other, you know, dead people.
That's a graveyard.
That's a cemetery. Can you imagine being in a cemetery at night when it's very dark and you're all alone?
And suddenly you hear something behind you, like something walking.
You turn around. But there's nothing there.
It's dark. You can't see anyway.
So you start to walk and then the noise behind you starts again.
So right now, if you're kind of feeling scared, if you're feeling uncomfortable, that is creeped out.
I'm trying to creep you out with my story.
Don't worry. It's just a story.
Nothing's behind you.
So the woman went to P Diddy's house with her husband and she's walking around and she says, Oh God, I feel creeped out and she wanted to leave.
Realtors, people selling the house.

Listen to that pronunciation.
Realtors, dah, dah, dah, dah, realtors.
People selling the house.
Believe the allegations against Diddy.
Believe the crimes that people say Diddy did.
And the really high price, the inflated asking price are major deterrence.
Major reasons not to do something.

People who are thinking about buying Diddy's house, they go in, the price is too high.
Eh, I'm not sure. And then Diddy was, did he do those evil, disgusting things?
Uh, no thank you. Of course they're major deterrence.
I hope they don't sell the property.
I hope they tear the mansion down and then, I don't know, just dump it into the ocean.
If it's true, I'm sorry guys.
I have a really strong opinion about this because, uh, if it's true, it's so evil and dark and he's not the only one, he's not the only one.
What's going on in America?
I hope this isn't happening in your country.
I really, it, it honestly makes me sad.

I got a great fact for y 'all now.
You know, it's the holiday season coming up November, December, January, lots of people celebrating stuff, but it can be very stressful.
So how can you feel better?
What kind of foods can you eat to make you feel better?
I got the top nine best foods for you.
Number nine, eggs. Eat eggs.
It makes you feel better.
Number eight, fermented foods.
Like sauerkraut from Germany, kimchi from South Korea, kombucha.
Some kind of drink.
I don't know what it is.
Fermented foods. Number seven is oatmeal.
Number six, oh, dark chocolate.
You know, chocolate makes you feel good.
Number five, dark leafy greens.
Vegetables. Number four, oranges.
Have an orange. Number three, avocados.
Number two, fatty fish.
And the number one top mood boosting food.
And I know coach Shane eats this every day.
Pumpkin seeds. Good job, coach Shane.

Country Shane. Yeah, I do have pumpkin seeds almost every day.
It's not that I have them.
It's my wife. She gives them to me.
She makes me eat them.
And yeah, they're very healthy.

I know some people are wondering about those generations, right?
Remember, we talked about the millennials, the gen Z, Generation Z.
So let me just give you a map of what the generations are.
And these years are controversial, but let's go back to baby boomers.
Baby boomers. Baby boomers are people born from 1946 to 1964.
So from 1946 to 1964, if that is your range of birth, then you're a baby boomer.
Personally, I kind of disagree.
I think it should be dropped several years.
Um, I think if you were born, I don't know.
Maybe from 19. Gosh, I'm not too sure.
Baby boomers, I think are a little bit older than that.
Maybe 1940 to 1958 are baby boomers.
I think it's about six years off.
It's just my opinion.
Cause my dad is, you know, my dad, my dad's a baby boomer.
My mom's a baby boomer.
But according to these numbers, my dad is not a baby boomer.
He was born in 1942, but I consider him a baby boomer.
Anyway, uh, Gen X, that's my generation, 1965 to 1980.
Now, actually, uh, my wife was born according to this chart in the millennial generation, but I don't think she's a millennial.
She was born in 1982.
I think she's Gen X.
So again, I, I'm not sure about these numbers so much, right?
Kind of difficult. Uh, but I do believe I am Gen X generation X.
What about you? Are you Gen X?
According to these numbers, 1965 to 1980.
After that, the millennials generation Y, but we don't say generation Y.
We say millennials.
Millennials, uh, 1981 to 1996.
That is their birth range.
After that Gen Z generation Z born 1997 to 2012, generation Z.
And now generation Alpha for born 2013 to 2025.
So my two boys are right in the middle of generation Alpha.
Um, let's be honest, coach Shane, do you want to have another child?
My wife and I would love to have a daughter.
And if we're going to do that, it's got to be like now, but my wife told me the only way we'll have a third kid is if you are really rich.
So I'll be a little bit selfish right now.
Everybody, please, please tell all your friends to join my classes so I can get really, really rich.
So, so I can have a daughter.
Anyway, generation Alpha.
How cool is that? Again, are these dates precise?
I don't think so, but they're pretty good.
Boy, we got two excellent questions today.
The first question on the job and in the job.
What's the difference?
Oh, it's such a good question.
So when we say in the job, what we're thinking about is during your employment, we're not thinking about a specific task.
We're thinking about a period of time in the job.
I was very happy. Were you happy in the job?
Yes, I was very happy in the job.
The people were nice.
The work was nice in the job.
It's during your employment, during that period, not a specific thing on the job.
However, it means while working and it means while working on a specific task on the job.
Are you on the job?
Are you doing your work?
Yes, I am. Have you heard the expression O J T O J T on the job training?
That means you learn to do your job while working, while working something very specific.
O J T. So it's a great expression.
It's a really, really good expression in the job and on the job in the job.
Not so common on the job, much more common.
Another excellent question.
Check this out. Throughout history, coach Shane has been an English leader.
Throughout the interview, coach Shane spoke English.
Do you understand what that means?
Throughout history, during history throughout the interview, during the interview, that's what it means.
But the question was throughout history, there's no the throughout the interview, we say the, why can we say throughout the history?
And can we say throughout interview?
It's such a good question.
And if you are a grammar king, you probably know the answer.
The answer is actually kind of simple.
History is an uncountable noun.
Throughout history does not refer to a specific period of time from 1963 to 1967.
It's throughout history, during all of history.
That's the idea. But interview is accountable.
Now, the interview, it is a very specific period of time during the interview for those 15 minutes throughout history, from the beginning to the end, from then to then.
Now, if we said throughout the history of Harry Potter, now it's okay because which history, the Harry Potter history, now it's being specific so we can say the.
But if we're not going to be specific about which history, we do not use the.
Does that make sense?

All right, 17 days left until Thanksgiving, one of America's biggest holidays.
Thanksgiving starts the holiday season.
The holiday season ends on New Year's Day.
So wow. We're like just over two weeks from the holiday season.
How excellent is that for me anyway?
18 days left until Black Friday, 21 days left until Cyber Monday.
Shopping, shopping, shopping and 44 days left until Christmas.
That's nice. I look forward to Christmas on this day in 1926.
U .S. route 66 was established a road, a highway, and the highway number in the United States, the highway was number 66.
They called it route R O U T E.
We say route and we say route.
We say both route route.
I typically say route route 66 was established in 1926.
So if you know about America and America has a very strong driving culture.
We love to drive in America.
One of the most famous roads in the U .S.
is route 66. So there's lots of people who come to America on vacation just to drive route 66 and visit the cities and visit the places along route 66.
One of my students, Jean Marie from France, his wife and him were in the United States and they did that.
They drove along route 66.
I am really happy to say I used to live in a town called Boulder City, Nevada, which is on route 66.
And it was so much fun.
It was really beautiful and nice and interesting.
So if you have a chance to visit the United States and you want to drive, then my recommendation is drive route 66.
It is a great drive.
Lots to see. In 1940, the Jeep car, J -E -E -P, made its debut.
In 1994, the last two news kind of mixed me up here.
In 1994, Bill Gates buys Leonardo da Vinci's Codex.
Codex C -O -D -E -X. For 30 million dollars, 30 million, 800 thousand dollars.
Now that was 1994. 30 years later, that is actually over 60 million dollars.
You know, Leonardo da Vinci, right?
Leonardo da Vinci. Amazing artist, scientist.
One of his books or notebooks that he wrote is called the Codex.
And in the Codex, he talks about science and his things.
It's like 30 pages long.
It's not that big, but it is Leonardo da Vinci and Bill Gates bought it in 1994.
He still has it. He still owns it.
That's not all. Today is like a Bill Gates date.
In 2002, Bill Gates pledged 100 million dollars to fight AIDS in India.
Now that's a great thing.
Anybody who donates a lot of money to help fight disease is doing the right thing.

Demi Moore, she was at one time married to Bruce Willis, another time married to Ashton Kucher or Kuchenor, or I don't even know his name.
